  1. Past hour
  2. We got blown out twice that's how it happens.
  3. Don't even need to bring up the rookie season. Bryce has had absolutely terrible games this season behind a very good offensive line. I don't know why we have to attack Stroud and convolute 3 seasons of football. Lets just hope Bryce can string more than 1 game like last week together.
  4. I got the 3rd down stats from statmuse. They show the Panthers at 18, not 24. I'm not trying to inflate his numbers to make him look better. I am just going by what I see in the table. If you have a problem with my claim he's about average, you will have to take it up with them.
  5. You can't say that with any certainty at all. Bryce played the worst football of any rookie ever. His mechanics and footwork have nothing to do with Frank, DC or anyone else. All those ints and fumbles, yep, those are Bryce too. Bryce and Stroud are 2 different QBs. Just because Bryce had one complete game in year 3 vs Atlanta doesnt mean he could have led a team to the playoffs his rookie year.
  6. I added a question mark to your question. Also bolded it to look prettier.
  7. I don't understand the tone, I gave you my ranking, that's it. And yes, I still view Lawrence and Kyler are still ahead, in my opinion, which doesn't really mean much lol. What's this have to do with being a fan ffs? I will say, they are at the end of the list/the more arguable/debatable guys. So open to debate but it seems you're going straight to the "you're not a fan" debate. Which is super annoying. Maybe I'd agree Bryce could be ~19-20 on the list if the argument was laid out instead. His Atlanta game was better than anything they have done in recent memory, but he's had like 10 other games this season. He is way more inconsistent in my view, due to a few factors... Shotty footwork - he has a shallow lazy step back from gun that puts an OL in an impossible place. Goes on his toes wayyy to much for my liking. Poor upper body mechanics. His upper body remains parallel to the LOS and has to perform that rapid twitch/turn motion to get in stance His shallow drops also create a lack of sight lines so he can't layer throws well He's had poor pocket presence - not last week, but it's been a thing Pure traits standpoint Arm strength is mediocre Mobility is mediocre - can outrun at times but quicker IDLs can catch him Accuracy is a range due to his inconsistency - can be above average to very poor. His career so far has been pretty bad with intermediates (which again was not the case against ATL) Ball Security Way too sensitive to fumbling Has exhibited very poor decision making, especially in first halves that put the team behind This all does NOT take away that he had a GREAT performance against ATL. He was able to extend plays, found guys post-route in stride, the XL throw in Q3 was fantastic, a few of the Coker crossers were beauts. There's no disputing that. But yeah, in totality, it hasn't looked good but he absolutely cooked last week. Outside of that, he's only had 5 other 250 yard passing games in his entire career. He stalls on drives, makes annoying turnovers, doesn't see the right guys. It's okay to both say that and the fact that he balled tf out last week. I hope he continues so we get better and maybe can make some noise. Big test on Monday.
  8. Actually that part abuot the Bears is not my opnion. I was watching some show and they were talking about how lucky the Bears have been this year. That's the only reason I brought it up.
  9. The Texans just went 3-0 without Stroud and beat the Jags (who they lost to earlier this season with Stroud) and the Bills (who murdered us) Just goes to show you how much of a difference there is between the two situations for these two QB’s who’ll forever be compared to one another Bryce would’ve had the rookie season Stroud did if he went to Houston. Bobby Slowik looked like a genius his first year calling plays and was scheme guys open downfield. Plus Stroud has always had a true WR1 in Nico. Canales need to let Bryce cut it loose a lot more often. Canales can’t seem to figure out the strength of his own team. He’s made countless boneheaded roster decisions. Chuba/Rico. ETN should get Chuba’s snaps at this point. Corbett/Mays. Now Zavala over Corbett. TMac not being used in the slot more. Our problems stem from Canales. Not Bryce.
  10. Flash forward maybe 20 years and we could finally have a brand motif that is significantly different where we would officially have "throwback" styles celebrating the first X decades of the team. Still wear my Panthers NFC WEST sweatshirt on occasion
  11. I remember Al Davis wanting to sue because we used the "Silver and Black" combo on our uniforms and helmets.
  12. I do approve of the NFL's recent schedule makers' choice of piling a bunch of division games at the end of the season (not just for us, but all the other divisions too). When the matchups are competitive, it makes for a fun month to cheer
  13. Bryce is also a reason why the forever trailing Panthers are having to go for it on 4th down so much. Think the math is going to math there. The more you go for it, the healthier the %is going to look IMO. Folks that rarely go for it can sort of trend oddly high or low sometimes.
  14. I hope you are right. I don’t want to lose the silver helmets or pants. I can remember a long time ago when the Raiders (I think) pitched a fit about our uniform scheme resembling there’s. I don’t remember whatever came of it. This guy mentioned something similar about uniforms and how they decided just to make modifications to the striping and numbers instead. However, he seemed to be more sure they were going to go heavy on the blue in the future. Something about due to everyone having black uniforms now. (Even the Rams)
  15. Yeah. He never came out and just said it blatantly but he has insinuated that the blue jerseys are well liked as are black helmets.
  16. They may be meaningless in the sense of wins and losses but this team isn't yet at a place where that is honestly all that matters It's full of young players that need to make progress for us to compete consistently and this (multiple players in a year getting it) is evidence that's starting to happen.
  17. This argument takes nuance, but I see both sides of it. Bryce's good games, he's one of the best in the league, without a question. Lately, his really good games have been few and far between, though we are riding on a career best day last week. His bad games are not NFL quality. Hard to argue that as well. He reminds me of Cam Newton in one way. They are both such statistical anomalies that evaluating them can be extremely difficult. QB roulette is absolutely no path to success. Furthermore, we have literally watched our franchise recently let 3 QBs go that left and proved they could still do it at a high level. I definitely give Bryce this season, and probably next season. If Bryce can be the good version of Bryce more consistently it's crazy to let him walk. With the inconsistencies too, I think we could probably get a team friendly deal. If he can't bring next year's roster to the playoffs, he's not the guy, period. I do think Bryce is always going to be a guy that requires a quality offensive line due to his physical limitations. I think we can do it, but it's a factor to consider. You have to account for that money, and Damien Lewis, Robert Hunt and Taylor Moton are all between 28-31. If he's our guy for the next 10 years, it does appear he's going to have a top quality #1 receiver to get the ball to.
  18. Yep. I get that such things are ultimately meaningless, but it's still cool to know some of our players are having sufficient success to gain recognition.
  19. The Bucs are barely in the positive in this regard
  20. Reads like a shitpost to me. Just so happens that the stats are real.
  21. Pretty much... and another reason why I'm not a huge fan of stat driven stuff.
