While I don’t believe there has been a more overvalued receiver amongst Panther fans since David Gettis, I think I’d want a little more from the Jags to do this. I do like Coker but I believe his ceiling is pretty close to where he’s already at, which is why he went undrafted.

I assume OP is like 13 years old based on several of his posts in this thread. Why continue to engage?

I see this as Renfrow for 3-4 years potentially. Coker I wanna keep though as the #3 X

This is the way

For those thinking Renfrow isn't making the team...Ha!

You are barking up the wrong tree. -
I'd rather ship a late pick if they were willing

What does the second worst defense got to do with anything? They are not the second worst because of one player. You should be trying to look at his play in a vacuum the best you can, not essentially saying that every player on a bad defense is bad. The fact is, Lloyd has improved, leading the Jags in tackles and defensive stops last year. Moreover, the Jags have obviously been having issues, and one way that they plan to fix it is switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3. They may not feel that he's the best fit for their system.
-
Looked like they were practicing 2nd and 3rd and long most of the day.
-
Quit with your logic, sir!! We'll have none of that in here!!

What ever gets your rocks off.

I get what you're saying, but "disappointment" or not, he's been solid the last two years. He is great depth at worst, but is really a starter.

I try to convince whatever clerk it happens to be at the time to sell me a winning PowerBall/Mega Millions ticket, but even if they agree to, it hasn't happened yet and I somehow doubt it ever will. Apparently they don't have any influence, so I just gave up and saved my breath. -
Hello no. Coker is a wildcard player right now. He could very well be our best WR. We just don’t know it yet.
-
MLB Devin Lloyd for WR Jalen Coker??

I agree with everyone else but just wanted to thank you as I now know there is a thing called a charizard and with the help of google, know what it is. -
Works for me. Best I can do is a 5th round pick.
-
We don't know. You're the one acting like a LB that the second worst defense in the league is ready to move on from is ready to pick up carry the torch of Mills, Morgan, Beason, Luke, TD, etc. All the while acting like the folks saying "nah" are the crazy ones.
-
Cokeheads-Who are the 4 active WRs on GameDay? List each one and reasons. FYI you better factor in STs.
-
Coker is under contract for only one year, then its EPFA(??). Im going to ask everyone in this thread, who are the 4 active WRs come game day? \What are cokers stats looking like for the upcoming year? It does feel like Im talking to coke-heads taking line after line then telling me they can not part with one of their overrated charizards cards.....
-
A 1 year rental shouldn't cost an up and coming player. I understand you feel differently.
-
Yeah, logic says that if you're looking for castoffs or guys willing to be traded fairly cheaply, you're probably most likely to find those guys on a good roster, not the worst defense in the league that wasn't in Charlotte last year.
-
It is also fair to point out that the Panthers have taken a swing on two players discarded from the Jaguars in recent years and both were misses. Maybe we should just stop trying to find diamonds in the worst places and leave that in the Fitterer years.
-
This is a great torch carrier for the Panthers LB story.
-
How do they know that?? Reminder this is the jaguars org. Lloyd is a better fit for that panthers and Coker better for the Jags. Jags have a surplus of LBs and Panthers have surplus of WRs. Each team improves while not losing.
-
I think it's fair, I just think Coker potentially helps to answer our most pressing questions more than Lloyd does and I'm just not trying to make knee jerk decisions to try to bandaid a roster together. There will be LBs that hit the waiver wire that can fill the gap. Literally and figuratively. A big part of what made our LBs look so horrific last year was the DL in front of them and it should be greatly improved this year.
