  1. Past hour
  2. Most people expected we should be at 10 wins. It’s year three of a quarterback on a rookie contract. Year three is the year you make a playoff push and year four is the year you make a Superb Owl run. If you can’t do it then, and the QB isn’t a Josh Allen or Mahomes, you may have screwed yourself into mediocrity.
  3. Dan Morgan really knocked this draft class out of the park after a suspect 2024 draft. Props where props are due.
  4. He will win I’m sure of it. No other offensive rookie has made a bigger impact.
  5. Which is great for being in games late, not great for fans. But you know what? The only teams the Panthers have really struggled hard with this year are AFC. If we can get to the playoffs, and get a home playoff game, I firmly believe we could get to the Championship. We’ve beaten both the Rams and Packers, each of which we’d play in the divisional most likely.
  6. It’s very possible. Darnold is finally who he was drafted to be with some good coaching and good receivers.
  7. I could see this happening too. 1) We're at home which "should" be a plus (5-2 in Charlotte this season). 2) We are going into this game realizing that a win will clinch our first winning season since 2017 and gain a playoff spot to boot. 3) We seem to play up and down to our competition this year. Three of our loses are to teams that are at the bottom of the their division (Arizona/New Orleans--twice ) Three of our win were against teams with the highest ranked offenses this year (Dallas, GB, Los Angeles). The 3 teams that thoroughly whipped us this year have 11 wins or more (Jacksonville, New England, Buffalo). I will say that I don't think Seattle will "overlook us". I just looked at the schedule. The top 3 teams in the NFC WEST have all clinched a playoff spot...but the division is still up for grabs.
  8. If Shough is even considered for OROY over TMac (or several other players for that matter) then it will be the biggest case of QB bias of all time. The award is TMac's to lose, IMO.
  9. My favorite part about scourton is it looks like he can be the vocal leader that we are missing. Horn and Brown are obviously our leaders but they are soft spoken. Nic can be the juice to get the team going.
  10. Yea, Hope we can make a 'We Win Fug Sam Darnold Thread!' next week.
  11. Bryce has improved considerably this season. Hell, he's improved since mid-season. He's actually taking shots down the field and his accuracy on those throws has improved a ton since his rookie year. Anyone who can't see that he has gotten better flat-out has an agenda and would rather be 'right' about Bryce than see the team succeed with him.
  12. Yeah, but Ace-hole is trying to call people out for "hating," and actually rooting for Bryce to fail. Huddlers, unless they're just stupid, aren't actually rooting for Bryce, XL, Evero or anyone to actually fail, they're actually rooting for the opposite. That's what Joe is saying. You can criticize players, even to the point of wanting them "upgraded," without wishing that they fail. Love and hate, criticism and praise, are not necessarily a static propositions either. At the end of the day, Bryce has been clutch this season at times. He's played like sh¡t at times as well. I try to live in reality. I don't think Bryce is going anywhere based upon perceived improvement. If you gave me a button to eject him, I'd probably push it with little hesitation, as I don't believe that our offense should be limited by his physical inadequacies, but I'm not the one in charge. Knowing human nature and the FO, I can easily see them giving Bryce (Evero and even Legette) another season. With that being highly probable, I think we should target a young free agent with some upside that has shown incremental improvement (e.g., Trey Lance or Malik Willis), and I'd also target Drew Allar as a day three priority. This way, we can still push Bryce and have some back-up plans.
  13. its between Ekbuka and TMac. TMac has the upper hand right now. I think if we make the playoffs that will boost his chances
  14. He really does; and as a South Carolina fan, it blows my mind. He was a very solid Wr in college and didn't drop much. But he's clearly not a starting NFL WR at the moment.
  15. I predicted 9-8 and a division title. I expected the games to go very differently though.
  16. given our W/L/W/L/W pattern of late.... I expect it to come to week 18 just like up/up/down/down/left/right/left/right/B/A/B/A/select/start youngins won't know that
  17. Yeah absolutely. This past draft was stellar. We were due for one - the PFF guy and Tillis really helped out Dan Mo and I think it’s paid off dividends.
  18. No matter what we feel or think about the coaches. It has been since 2017 that we had 8 wins. 8 fuging years. Here we sit in control of our destiny. Things could be better. Things have been a whole lot worse.
  19. I may regret these words. I think Dave beats Seattle this week because they overlook us, and Tampa loses last second to the Dolphins. Can totally see everyone being confused when announcers say Panthers win NFC South and everyone thinking the week 18 game matters. Can also see none of that happening and the NFL making us and Tampa the SNF game week 18.
  20. I agree with you. This team is definitely on the upswing. If Morgan can nail the 2026 draft as well as he did the 2025 draft, I really believe the Panthers can be a legitimate playoff team for the rest of the decade. I think the two things that will affect our success the most going forward is improving the pass rush and the quality of QB play we receive (no matter who is behind center). The guys we drafted to pressure the QB will likely step up next season, and we have an entire off-season to acquire more talent. The most important factor is defiitely QB. When Bryce plays well, we play well. Even his harshest critics can't dispute that. I've been as critical of Young as anyone on this board. That said, if he could master climbing the pocket like Drew Brees and improve his ability to attack the middle/intermediate areas of the field, I think we might be able to ride with him for the next several years.
  21. Oh I am confident we are taking the W in Tampa.... it just means more to DB/Horn then Baker/Evans.... but no matter what this is a successful season in my eyes
  22. No, I really do not care. Not taking anything from him at all. I just don’t care or worry about individual stats or awards. If he wins it then good for him.
  23. What’s the cause of the slow starts? I wonder if it’s the lack of preseason snaps. I think we should bring in a good backup to light a fire over Bryce’s ass in the offseason.
