Don't expect criticism of the team from people who still have working relationships with the organization
-
I think most former players are cheerleaders to some extent for their team. The difference seems to come if they move into some sort of tv role. You rarely hear the Fox/CBS Sunday group talking about the teams they are associated with during broadcasts. You have to be mindful a bit on Panthers reddit, because I am pretty sure there are fans that didn't know the team existed before Tepper and Young came into the picture.

He has said many times hes a diehard Panther fan. Being a former player he is going to be very pro player. I don't think its a conspiracy but just someone close to the individuals.

Cant take him seriously because he likes Bryce sounds about right for around here

OK, let me first say that I can't get any Twitter link to embed--using "X" or "Twitter" or whatever, and I'm tired of trying. Now, I must say that I see Panthers stuff in Facebook on occasion as I'm part of some group, but I see Panthers stuff even less on the cesspool that is now X, but as a follower of the official Panthers Twitter, stuff pops up on that feed too. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised that agents of the organization would be putting out tweets like this: He's not even trying to be objective. It stands to make sense though. In order to get better information, you have to go to national sources like Kurt Warner. I'm not necessarily trying to pick on J-Stew, per se, but I can't take him seriously, as even some past Panthers players, like Greg Olsen for example, don't seem like they're just trying to cater to Panthers Nation, just saying hollow words to make everyone feel good. I just wonder why here on the Carolina Huddle, there seems to be more objectivity, or at least more critical thinking and serious discussion than most other social media sources on the Panthers. It's interesting. There is a significant difference. For all the changes and the seeming decline in popularity to whatever degree, the Carolina Huddle still has its place and plays a big part in overall Panthers fandom. We want to be happy, joyous and cheer for the Panthers, but we aren't necessarily trying to shoot sunshine up people's derrières either.

Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

Us if we give Bryce a big contract. But worse since what we gave up. -

It's called being in the NFC South. You forgot that quickly how we got in, huh?
-
Yes, I provided it. You didn't.

I can't tell you what other's expect from him before they will start believing in him. I think for some, they will never be able to overcome his size. I think that is the fundemental problem for them which means they will never be happy with him behind center. For others, it seems he will have to be in the top 10% in pretty much every catagory and do that all seaon for them to start believing in him. Not everyone of course. There are people on this board that, while have doubts, can still acknowledge his good plays and are willing to give him another season. Those folks I would assume just want consistency - and wins. I could be off on all the above but that's kind of how I see it. And while you didn't ask, I will say I'm glad they picked up his 5th year option. He earned it. I do not think he should be signed to a long term contract yet. I do think he will develope in a franchise QB and will get the Panthers back into the playoffs and win them but I know I could be wrong. Next year will be the big test. If the offense continues to improve and they get back to the playoffs because of the offense, it will be time to sign him long term. If it's a repeat of this year, then it's time to look elsewhere for a QB. Like I said though, I believe he can be the guy so would be surprised if he doesn't make it.

Well since I am so biased, why don’t you tell us what he has to do to earn the trust of everyone that doubts him? If you say he has already done it, we really will never agree.

Mike Kaye’s take: 2026 NFL free agency predictions

Also, do you think it a bit odd that the media has ignored it? Maybe they haven’t. But I am not aware of it being written or talked about.- 91 replies

Major Concerns with this team…with numbers

If money is no object: Tuch, Marchessault, Panarin, Petterson

I agree that it is disapponting that nothing went their way on the first three downs and I do not know if it's because of the play calling, the pressure on Bryce or Bryce just missed them. I just think the last call was a good call. Horn got open and the pass was there. He just dropped it. Terrible time for his first drop of the season but again, he had made a 4th down catch earlier so there was no reason to think he couldn't scatch it.
-
How are Horns feelings relevant? It’s deflecting from the reality that for whatever reason nothing went the way of the only 2 productive receivers on the last 4 passes.
-
Saying Horn caught a 4th down pass earlier in the season doesn't make sense to you? I'm not trying to be arguementative, I just don't think you are being fair to Horn. Put it this way, if you were to say to Horn, "I would have rather they had throw an interception to TMac or Cooker than have passed it to you" you don't think he wouldn't take that as an insult?
-
Horn had a 73.3% catch rate for the season with 0 drops up till that time and the one time he was thrown to on 4th down he caught it for 17 yards. He showed he could get open, he showed he had a good catch rate and he showed he could be counted on under pressure (catching the pass on 4th down.) The poster saying he would rather throw an interception than throw to Horn with those stats is not just rediculous, it's also insulting to Horn. And I know how you feel about Bryce. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

The only way I wanna see Dougie employed in Lenovo at this point...
-
Atlanta and TB also suck?
-
Horn wasn't even a legit receiver on the team all year. It makes no sense and neither does anything you said.
