I have defended Bryce as much as anyone but it shouldn’t take this long to begin to make your mark. My biggest concern is can this GM and management team pick a QB? I am very skeptical of their talent evaluation abilities.

Not sure how much say Evero has had in choosing our FA defensive players, but if these are guys he wanted, that is a fireable offense alone. It really is a hodgepodge of players that do not complement each other one bit.

I was just thinking about this earlier… I don’t think it’s emphasized enough, how absolutely insane it is that we consciously as an organization decided to go into this season with the most important position on the entire team with his security teetering on what he looks like in the first 4 games or so. Last year, they went in fully committed and still yanked him after 2 bad games. All it took was 2 bad games to bench him after going all-in with him for the season. There was never even a word about that being a possibility until it was already done due to his horrid play. This year, after knowing he had already been benched previously for said horrid play, and public opinion divided on if he’s even an NFL QB, the leash is theoretically even shorter than before. So, Dave, Dan, Bryce, they all know… it’s in the back of all their minds - what is the threshold for him getting benched again? And again, we literally decided to go into the season with that poo hanging over the whole team, all while they tried to peddle that “end of season” stretch bullshit to justify it. Again, all knowing if (for us with brains, “when”) he played bad, the hook is coming. Just fuging insane.

I'm telling you it's a throw to Sanders, look at his feet and the throw coming out of his hand. I'm 100% positive it was not a throwaway. If I made that pass and was asked, id just say I made a boneheaded decision and threw it away... Cause otherwise... Yeeesh

Its not really a secret sauce when you simply pay to have the most expensive line in football. It leads to neglect in other areas. IE defense

Why do we always wait to fire coaches mid-season. Instead of the season before when it’s painfully obvious.

We really haven't run that much 3-4 under Evero - and I would imagine even more so this season since we have inept ILBs. We have played a lot of nickel with an even front and we look just as bad in that as we do in 3-4. The problem is we have had to dedicate so much drafting/free agency signing to offense to try and make Bryce look competent that we have completely neglected the defense and gone bargain bin shopping for most of our players. We aren't going to be able to find good linemen/linebackers quickly, although I do think Scourton and Princely have flexibility in being able to play 4-3 DE or edge rusher OLB (if they develop into starters).

I think he’s a good receiver. He’s just not the guy we needed for the QB we have. Square peg meet round hole.

It would've still ended up working if Bryce either takes off and runs or makes an accurate throw to Sanders instead of that moon ball he ended up tossing.

Morgan doesn’t seem as bad because he’s following one of the worst GMs ever. I think it’s still too early to tell on both, it’s just been 1 season. I do like that Dan fixed the OL but I don’t like the decision to keep Evero or the lack of attention to some of the position groups. I’d like to see what this team can do with just average QB play. I think it would elevate everyone.

I think honestly it was just a accumulation of hits. They just build up over time. Thats my theory anyway. The super bowl and then the first game of the next year he took some absolutely nasty blows, I remember early on he destroyed a Washington corner and that poo has to add up

Canales wants to run 25-30 times and get chuck plays off play action to protect his QB. Think early Russell Wilson in Seattle under Carroll (Canales was on that staff)

Yep, as you can see here, Bryce is starting to throw the out route to XL but realizes he wasn't turning his head for it. Then the next picture is when he finally turned, but as you can see, he turned the wrong way and is still drifting towards the front corner of the end zone, not to the sideline for the quick out for the first down. So I think he both ran the wrong route and didn't get his head around in time anyways. Why we're trying to run that play on 4th down to XL instead of T-Mac will never make any sense to me. Seems like a classic case of the coaches saying, "they obviously think we're going to T-Mac here, so let's try and fool them and throw it to XL instead and use T-Mac as a decoy." But sometimes you just have to let your best players make plays, even if they're a rookie and even if the defense knows you're going that way.

The problem is that the run defense isn't fixed. They ran roughshod over us yesterday. They did anything they wanted to whenever they wanted to.

correct, when BY looks, the throw isn't there. Then he can't see as the play develops into a wide open Saunders in front of him for a relatively easy throw. 2 things prevented that TD. Bryce getting blind/size issue and Bryce giving up and opting to chunk it into the stands as Saunders get in place for an easy score. What do people think Dave told Bryce after that play?

Cam took most of his nasty shots in the pocket and his injury came off a chase down. He also got head hunted but that gets called now for sure ...... Right?????

That allar or the ark kid. I really like allar as he navigates the pocket nicely and i am an old school pocket passer kindof guy. I know its not en vogue especially after last night but running qbs I went sour on after seeing cam just take some monster shots

He tries to make the throw but his feet are planted the wrong direction, doesn't have the separation with his feet, and his body doesn't follow through on the throw because of his feet placement which causes the ball to sail on him. If it doesn't sail, it hits Sanders in stride

Trying to continue to be positive about Bryce is like trying to be positive about the prospect of getting your girl back when she's moved on and is dating a rich dude with a knee knocker. It's over so get over it.

He mainly screwed up when he threw it past the line of scrimmage, so I think we will see less of that next week.

I didnt see much of any college ball on Sat but I do know there are so good prospects. I just normally listen to mcshay to see who they are and then try to catch the games. But he loves mateer, the ark dude, sellers, lsu kid and cade K.
