  1. Past hour
  2. Ekwonu is not exactly dog sh¡t, and is actually in the top half at his position in pass pro, but he's close to middle of the pack. This gives a little more clarity. In my opinion, Icky is a sidenote, the bigger takeaway is that Princely basically says he's not gonna be stopped by anybody.
  3. Today
  4. Well, you get the picture. https://catcrave.com/veteran-redemption-arc-stealing-show-panthers-training-camp-hunter-renfrow
  5. Something tells me that all of the hand wringing and pearl clutching over halting the practice earlier possibly destroying his confidence was... well... stupid
  6. That's right. @t96 @mrcompletely11 and some others are selectively discounting Renfrow's healthy seasons. Renfrow was diagnosed with his illness in 2022, so one would expect production to fall (and fall drastically). Now I'm not saying that ulcerative colitis can't return, because it can, and that must be considered, but when Renfrow is healthy, he's a legit WR3, so it is very realistic that he could be third in receptions.
  7. That depends on where he's at because if you look at his first 3 seasons before he got sick he had 49 rec as a rookie followed by 56 and then his pro bowl season he had 103 rec. If he's somewhere between seasons 2 and 3 then that wouldn't be bad at all. We'll have to wait and see but from the few clips I've seen and the comments I've heard and read I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case. Personally, I'm really pulling for him and I think he's going to be the comeback player of the year.
  8. More praise of Renfrow from Tim Weaver (formerly of USA Today's Panthers Wire, now SI.com), and also what I told some of you, my Huddle friends, from the start: keep it all in perspective, and don't conveniently---and perhaps unfairly, discount and label Renfrow as a JAG when it was a very debilitating illness affecting his play. "It's understandable to be skeptical about Renfrow's abilities at this late point in his career. After all, he missed all of last season due to a bout of ulcerative colitis that also took a serious toll on his production in 2022 and 2023." When Renfrow is healthy, he's an above average guy. Being 29 may hurt or help his chances depending upon perspective, but 29 for receivers generally means that there's still (sometimes plenty) gas in the tank. Renfrow also obviously has plenty of motivation and has come with his game face. "Then agan, seeing is believing and by all accounts Renfrow has been very impressive since joining the Panthers a few months ago... Where Renfrow will fit in Carolina's new-look receiver corps remains to be seen, but at this rate it's going to be hard to exclude him from the initial 53-man roster." https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/hunter-renfrow-sick-route-panthers-training-camp Read the room, ladies and gentlemen. And don't get it twisted; Renfrow isn't the most talented receiver on the team, but we have seen his ceiling, when healthy, in a Raiders offense that wasn't necessary replete with talent. Consider what he can do, especially in the slot, in a Panthers offense primed with young talent (no pun intended). From sick to "sick routes," eh?
  9. That is literally what I am talking about. Those were 53 man cuts. Not at the beginning of camp. I would say the odds of Barno being back are extremely thin.
  10. jalen coker and demani richardson were both at one point cut from the roster and brought back and now are contributors my guess is that Barno isn't healthy enough at the moment after knee clean up procedure and they needed the roster spot for training camp
  11. Yeah, I would caution most Panther fans to ultimately realize that this team is still a very safe bet to be a top 10 draft pick in 2026. What we want to see is roster progression. Actually starting to win is a longer term goal. Welcome if it comes early, to be sure, but definitely not expected.
  12. IDK. If he was a PS candidate, seems like he would have made it further into the TC/preseason. I think it's more likely that he just didn't factor in after all the pass rush additions.
  13. It is the time of year for hopium, and I embrace it. I get that. I am biased. I feel I should be. But you know they don't actually pay attention to us. They aren't going to change their opinion of us no matter how much we "win" the off-season until we show it on the field, and I get that angle too. Not like it benefits them to be high on a small market team like us. I am a fan, and I am here to ROOT.
  14. "Hype levels" ultimately lean nothing and I honestly think that a lot of the perceived "hype" is largely confirmation bias because when you look most analysts, most still have us near the bottom the league in terms of overall roster strength and expectations on the field this season.
  15. I mean, it could be just me, but I feel we are at hype levels we haven't seen in a LONG time. Now, whether it is warranted or not, remains to be seen, but I am not the least bit upset that they are sprinting down the current highway. I haven't been this optimistic about our roster in a long time. We have some of the best position groups we have had in a few areas. We only have one glaring weakness in my mind. (LB) When was the last time we could say that? Our WR room is so talented we don't know who is making the roster. Our offensive line is essentially fixed. A few years ago, we would have sold our souls just to say that about the line.

  17. Expect it likely means the draft coverage will be tak n over by ESPN personalities... ...which sucks because I much prefer the existing NFL Network coverage.
  18. I am so glad we didn’t overthink our pick. Dude is a fuggin stud at WR
  19. lol, in a post I think yesterday I literally said "T-Mac does his Inspector Gadget thing on bad practice passes all the time"
  20. Gotta wait for some preseason games but sounds like Horn hitting waivers could be risky. Moore would probably be on the couch waiting for a spot to open due to injury. Gonna depend on how the return game looks in preseason as well, if Horn gets some time back there
  21. Over the years PFF seem to have more hits than misses with thier prospect evaluations. And with our recent draft history im all for a change of philosophy
  22. I agree and they keep playing it on the Football Network. I watch the first quarter and that's enough
  23. We wont trade him anyway, even if he had a market. I really dont see the need for him to see the field all that often though.
  24. I agree. I just don't know what the market looks like for him. I mean WR trades the last few years the returns are minimal. Even a guy like Hopkins who is 33 only got a 5th in return when he was traded to the Chiefs last year. Unfortunately I feel it's likely at the end of the day that we are virtually the only team valuing Thielen the way we do.
