But that's the WR4 this year, we only have one year left of Thielen. If Coker has injury issues and/or regresses and shows why he went undrafted, unless Horn ends up REALLY living up to the minicamp hype, we'd actually end up in need of another good WR option next offseason again. I love the potential of T-Mac, XL, Coker, Horn as our 1-4 next year and into the future. And while I of course have a million percent belief that T-Mac is going to be that guy for us, it's still a big year for the rest of the WR room to prove we're set at the position for the foreseeable future once Thielen is gone after the season.

the top of college football is losing sight of what actually made college football king IMO. If they want to break off and be the NFL's highly paid (for now) development league.....it will eventually be treated as such by the masses.
-
meh, coker would still be WR4 even without health issues.
-
Kinda starting to worry about Coker’s ability to stay healthy last year it was a quad during practice I believe then he had a set back during his return to play protocol crap they do and he’s already dealing with something now
-
Ramsey feels a little like Clowney. A vet who was not at his peak but still added a lot of value and a little bit of baggage. That just isn't in our short terms plans.

The NCAA blew it. I wouldn't be surprised if the SEC and Big Ten drop the NCAA and form a super league: https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/article/with-college-sports-in-limbo-and-key-issues-coming-to-a-head-the-spotlight-is-on-the-sec-its-going-to-get-heated-130018106.html?guccounter=1 That would at least allow the ACC and others to get back to being universities first.

Mike Kaye @mike_e_kaye · 2m Xavier Legette said the goal is to win games and whenever you can add a “masterpiece like that” (re: McMillan) “it’s great.” “It’s all smiles,” with McMillan, per Legette. He said he watched film with Rob Moore after the season. He said getting open wasn’t a problem, catching was.
-
not sure how I missed this reality. ACC has a former NFL great coaching a squad this year.

Joe Person @josephperson · 1m Bryce Young had been around Tetairoa McMillan before their offseason throwing session, played vs him in HS. Said it was “music to my ears” when Panthers took him at 8. Joe Person @josephperson · 15m Dave Canales says he’s seen Xavier Legette smiling a lot this spring, so he knows he’s in a good place. Also: “He looks big and fast.”
-
only thing that really stands out....is one QB put the ball out in front of his WR and the other threw behind XL
-
I'm hard on him but one can be a bum and still develop. He's way too much of a liability right now.

Joe Person @josephperson · 3m Other injury notes: Jalen Coker (soft tissue), D.J. Wonnum (back). Both precautionary more than serious. Mike Kaye @mike_e_kaye · 5m TE Tommy Tremble had successful back surgery last week, per Dave Canales. They fully expect him back for training camp. OLB DJ Wonnum had his back flare up so they kept him off the field. WR Jalen Coker is dealing with a soft tissue injury. #Panthers
-
Mike Kaye @mike_e_kaye · 2m #Panthers will have joint practice with the #Texans in August, per Canales. He said heat will be good to prepare for with Jax in Week 1. eason game at Houston.
-
Gotcha yeah no doubt, he probably will tbh hes looked good in the regular season hes just not a guy who was ready for the level of the ECF
-
mike kaye was giving us a ton of "pump the brakes on bryce" smoke signals all last preseason. Thats why I really respect him.
-
I rarely ever see a negative article or post from practice, but I have always wondered if the reporters who watch the practices all the time can tell if the panthers are going to be anygood or if a player is going to be good from watching the practices.
-
I'm not making excuses for him being in the game. I'm just saying he could still blossom into a good NHL player. He might be a career AHLer though.
-
Tmac looks slow
-
Yep him playing and looking fantastic (which every talking head and their mom expected) he isnt a normal prospect this is a guy that's if not generational close to it.... he's gonna be the canes first home grown (drafted) legit star. Plus Big, physical fast incredibly skilled puck handler? Yeah who needs that says rod hes a lefty
-
This is good for building our reputation with UDFAs. Agents will know we are one of the, if not THE, highest paying teams for their client. Money, guaranteed especially, matters to UDFAs who have very short career outlooks. We will absolutely have an advantage over other teams because of the money, and when we're in a bidding war we are likely to win it. It's def a good thing for us on many levels.

Joe Person @josephperson · 3m Practice ends with a Bryce Young completion to rookie tight end Mitchell Evans. Keep it here for post-practice updates. Mike Kaye @mike_e_kaye · 4m Bryce Young hits Mitchell Evans for a diving 15-to-20 yard completion to end 11 on 11 work and the OTA workout.
