  1. Past hour
  2. Depends on the price tag. But as another poster has noted in another thread. We are not going to be able to continue to spend our way out of our OL challenges via free agency dollars. And we certainly cannot keep shining Dan Morgan's shoes like he's the executive of the year for doing so. Any huddler here could do that. And even if we continue down that path we are going to end up in the same boat when it's all said and done. When our offense is laboring to make it anywhere near the end zone and our defense cannot save the day it's just going to be a repeat of the same scapegoating as last year. We'll blame the DC we'll blame the defense for not winning us the game etc. Anything to divert from the reality that our FO has put us in these predicaments to prop up a bad pick.
  3. Was coming back from work in NYC last night. Had live TV on plane, watched first 8 minutes of Tarheels, and then realized this team isn't worth watching without Caleb and while Hubert is the coach. Proceeded to take advantage of free vodka, watch Springsteen movie and forget the Tarheels exist until ACC Tournament.
  4. You can argue ‘should’. It certainly could have been. And might be this year. You gonna complain if we instead sign the best proven C out there?
  5. Was traveling for work the past 6 days. Haven't been on the books. On this currently.
  6. I am open to a guy that can play on the outside, not just a slot guy, as both Coker and McMillan can be deadly in the slot as well as highly effective on the outside.
  7. If he would have gotten open against Philly at the end of the game, I believe he would make that catch. But a lot of McConkey's production can be contributed to the fact that he has a big arm QB with size. He catches a lot of passes over the middle. He is often thrown open when he doesn't have a ton of separation. Lastly, his coach doesn't have to limit the combination of patterns that the WR group can run because of the arm limitations of his QB. It's like I have said in regards to the Seattle game this year. Nobody is producing if the QB is only throwing for 54 yards.
  8. Center should have been addressed in the draft already. Just a simple truth.
  9. When preseason rolls around this year Taylor Moton will be 32. Too far in the game now to start tinkering. Just keep him where he is.
  10. Yeah, and if we ever eventually decide to move on from Bryce at least the table should be set nicely for the next guy. Making life easier for your QB is never a bad plan.
  11. Yeah we traded up for a guy who, can never have too much invested in his support. The job is never finished. Some people want another WR in the 1st. Or a TE.
  12. Today
  13. I will never forget that because we passed on Trey Smith for him.
  14. Fun Fact: This year he will break Trey Junkin`s record of largest amount of games played by a long snapper. Trey played 281, JJ is at 277.
  15. In someways it’s best to keep Moton at RT after nine seasons because as you say, everything would be reversed, so it might not be an easy switch. Besides, Moton has consistently been one of our highest rated players at his position via PFF. So I’d keep him at RT and find an upgrade at LT via the draft or FA.
  16. Getting bumped down the draft order is a legit argument. I just don't think we would've passed up T-Mac of he was there because outside WR would have still been a big need and we were fully committed to trying to build around Bryce. As you should be when you go all in to trade up to #1 overall to draft a QB.
  17. Proctor scares me. Higher ceiling but also lower floor. He won't be ready to play LT early. Would have to let him play RT and Moton at LT to start i think. He's a 5.1 forty at 366 pounds. The man is a building that can move. Just not sure on quick lateral moves.
  18. Well I look at the option of a bust. Seen people burned too many times on these small school guys. The competition they face matters. I am better taking them later when the stakes are lower.
  19. McConkey is such a better player than XL that it isn't out of the question that he'd have improved us by 1 win last year, which would have dropped us to 10th or 11th in the draft. If we fell to 11th behind SF, they probably take him as they were heavily rumored to want him. 2 more wins and we fall to 11th or 12th, if we are 12th behind both the 49ers and Cowboys, then he's 100% taken by one of them. Even if he was on the board when we were on the clock, I'm not sure we're taking him over a defensive player given how bad the defense was last year. Part of why he was always the pick for me was that we had no legitimate long term WR option at the time, having McConkey would have changed that.
  20. Or a statue of him in a golf cart and you can sit next to him
  21. I've said many times that if I had known in high school that long snapper was an NFL position I would have practiced that every day and did all could to get that contract. Sure the money is not starting QB level, but it is life changing and if you manage it right you and your kids will be set for life. Not to mention you have access to the highest level of medical staff. Plus, by rule, they can't hit you.
  22. I just might get a JJ jersey. Wow who would have guessed.
  23. Most of the fanbase has been talking about Moton at LT pretty much ever since we drafted him. Pretty clear that's just not something the Panthers are going to entertain for whatever reason and at this point after playing exclusively RT for so long I'm sure it wouldn't be the plug and play switch that fans envision. Everything you've been doing for your entire NFL career now gets reversed.
  24. Many won't say it out loud, but they would rather have McConkey so bad they'd be willing to take that chance in retrospect. But, I think we still would have drafted TMac, because the passing game would still have been sputtering with Bryce at the helm. He was benched in what would have Ladd's rookie year. Maybe like XL, Ladd would've produced with Dalton after we got rid of Diontae. Seems like you would still pull the trigger though on TMac the next year.
  25. Curious if we would entertain the option of moving Moton to LT and having Yosh play RT (if we resign him) if we aren't able to get a good free agent LT or draft one. Not sure how Moton would look on the left side, but I thought Yosh looked a lot better at RT than LT last season
  26. A Jansen statue of him bent over hiking the ball at BOA is well deserved and would be a great photo op for fans
