I agree with not spending draft resources and cap space at safety, ILB, and RB. some group has to be the lowest paid, Panthers finally did this at ILB. 100% I'd welcome a prime luke clone and make him the highest paid when needed, but much rather find, draft, or resign a Allen, Garrett, chase, etc..

They looked good but its how I expected them to play in the regular season.... that said nothing to take from it tbh.

Thank god they are playing the young guys more, something to look forward to this season and I'm liking the early returns. They will still have weaknesses but it'll be better than last year at least.

I have not come to those terms. I don’t care what the trend is, I know how much a great LB can contribute. Everyone here should know that, with our history. I want the next great one to be great here. I believe Dan can find him.

Wallance had no where to go but up since week one and he is playing better. Rose is just the only decent option that's willing to take near min money and had around 5 years in the defense. Sure he isn't playing the best, but come on people......he's the best option and like I said he's cheap and got the green dot...... No chance Wallace is able to call plays. Its "ok" in 2025 if LB is the weakest group, that's what smart teams are doing..... I have come to terms and it was one hell of a mind wrap given TD, luke, beastson, barrow, mills, etc.

It sure is nice to see the defense playing competently. Hopefully they can continue the trend.

Not really, I mean if he comes in next year and plays well, and gives us a good solid 5-6 years, it would be worth the pick. Although I don't think that is likely with the injuries. But even if he plays well the next couple of years, I wouldn't give him a significant contract beyond his initial four years.
