Not really sure what to make of your post. All I did was ask AI what weresome notable QB bust over the past few years and these are the names it provided. I didn't cherry pick anything. All I was attempting to do is illustrate the fact that physical attributes (arm strength, height, etc) are not gaurantees of success. Yes that does favor Bryce but that is the purpose of the post. I could have posted how Mayfield and Darnold were both failures with their first teams even though they have the physical attributes coveted only to finally find success later in their careers but that could be used to suggest Bryce just needs time much like they needed it. Would you have considered that ironically funny as well? And I see the scheme Canales has provided but I do not look at it as working around Youngs' weaknesses as much as it is working around a young, inexperieinced team still trying to figure each other out. Kind of like learning to ride a bike. You don't just throw your kid on it and give it a big push - unless you want to watch your kid crash and burn. The begining of the season they were on training wheels but ss the season has progressed, and Young and the receivers have had time to work with one another, I have seen Canales open the playbook more. Seems logical to me.

I don't think it has as much to do with the college game as it does the NFL's current obsession with offensive efficiency and being terrified of turnovers. Dink and dunk passing relying on YAC throwing downfield just enough to keep the D honest has become the norm. And honestly, that's probably because bend but don't break D has become the norm. Defenses are willingly giving up the short stuff relying on being able to bow up when the field gets shorter.

Idk why they cant put a sensor on the blue line (and the goal line for that matter) to have a consistent, accurate judgement on these calls.

That's the qualification. It hasn't been changed for the sake of this argument.

Ex-Panther great Jeremy Shockey on Bryce Young
Donald LaFell replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s completely unacceptable to need to wait on a #1 pick this long. His ceiling is a game manager. No way you pay this guy 50 million a year.- 12 replies

BREAKING NEWS: Trevin Wallace out for the year
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Okay in baseball and in football you build inside out and need to be strong up to middle. It still is valid after over 100 years. I am pretty much thinking ILB is a glaring weakness and shouldn’t be ignored. Fix it. If we get great edge guys, all the other QB has to do is throw over the middle, poo will be open. And if that isn’t true I don’t even care because I still have years of watching what a talented ILB can do for a defense. Across the league and for sure with the Panthers. I want one no doubt dog and one real good sidekick. Watch things get good. Thank you in advance. -

I can see that. And if it works it was worth every bit of the cost

Chatty getting too handsy... let's see how this power kill looks tonight.

Seriously, it was just a joke

We need a new (good) backup qb.

I guess we’re counting 20 yard passes as going deep these days that’s cool. Love the way Bryce has been playing lately
-
I don’t think TE is that bad. We don’t have a bonafide stud but the floor isn’t bad.

Besides, Rod told Bussi to, strategically, give up the 1st goal so that there would be no 3-0 lead for us to blow.

I feel like that is a result of the state of the game in college and the state of the players that that they produce. This has been a long time coming. I don’t have stats for this but I feel like the NFL is well on the decline regarding the quality of the product they are putting on the field. I imagine it is really tough to be a scout or GM now with this NIL foolishness. The players used to spend 3 or 4 years under a staff where people knew what they were being taught at least. What system they were going to be raised in. Now it is a year here, a year there, no structure. This will further degrade the NFL product IMO if allowed to run free like it is now. .

Surprise! Wait… Surprise Again! Kon Looks Really Good!
frankw replied to TylerDurden's topic in Charlotte Hornets
At this point we need another lottery pick to add to this group. Kon has had a stellar rookie season to say the least. Nothing to play for at this point in time but he still goes full throttle. Respect to the young man. Now let him rest up. -
Not against the Period Panties! Hopefully, we've put that poo behind us. Leave it in 2025 and start off the new year early!
-
time to blow this lead in the 3rd period.
-
Yeah I didn’t mean for that to come across like I was disputing anything you said because I agree with you That defense is good enough to win a championship but at some point that offense is gonna have to help them out
