  1. Past hour
  2. 3 wins might get us the no. 1 pick. 5 wins probably puts us in the top 5. Look on the bright side.
  3. It's not just "week two". Bryce has started 30 games at this point and it's still the same poo. Unless the opposing defense is playing Charmin soft and we seemingly have nothing to play for, Bryce can't do anything. I'd rather try to land a Jameis Winston or Sam Howell for a late round pick than play Hooker but at this point we gotta try something else.
  4. It's really all on Tepper. He was the engine behind the Bryce trade, which the roster obviously wasn't ready for. We wasted a year proving that the roster wasn't ready to support a young quarterback, and then spent a mandatory offseason using all possible resources to patch up the offensive line and find offensive playmakers. Then the defense was the worst in the league, and we spent an offseason trying to solve that. We've been chasing our tail, dealing with problems that Tepper let stagnate while he chased immediate contention, and then the shiny toy of a young QB. Dan's got a competent contract guy and he's finally hired someone to stop him from wasting draft capital in bad trades. Those two things alone put a functional floor on his performance. I don't think he's got the vision to turn us into the Eagles or the Chiefs, But if the owner's never going to agree to a proper rebuild, it probably doesn't matter.
  5. If you could but Murray’s or prime Wilson’s arm on Young he would be pretty good. Instead the only elite trait he supposedly had was his mind and that is not anywhere close to elite. We literally took a QB with not good physical NFL QB traits who is short all because his mind is elite. It’s baffling.
  6. Zavala is about to be playing for a while if Hunt is out as well as Corbett. That's a 4 win team written all over it.
  7. Yes, but it's only in these circumstances where he thrives, that's the problem He can't be a true franchise QB and wait until the game is out of reach when the defense goes into prevent defense to finally flip on his baller switch.
  8. The gift game was against Arizona. I still say it is a race between us and Miami for the 1st overall pick.
  9. C'mon man. We're 2 weeks into the season. When Hendon Hooker inevitably plays bad, what do we do? Go back to Bryce Young and look even more like a clown show? I'm not a Bryce Young fan at all, but it's week 2... We shouldn't be pulling the cord this early for a player who had a 36.1% QB rating and was cut after 2 seasons as a 3rd round pick. I get that the backup QB is the most popular player for fans, but he's not the answer either. We made our bed with Bryce Young, now we have to lay in it
  10. The Point Guard we thought we were getting: The Point Guard we got: Coincidentally, Ricky Rubio was drafted over Steph Curry in the same draft. Had the same issues in the NBA that Bryce has in the NFL that can be distilled into two words, "Too small".
  11. Brooks isn't "unfortunate". We drafted a RB coming off of a torn ACL. I give GMs a pass for drafting guys that run into injury issues while having no medical red flags coming in. It's football, it happens. But when you draft a guy with medical red flags and then he continues to get injured you gotta own that. You took a calculated risk and lost.
  12. He was bad again yesterday. It's a little early to declare it completely over, especially if the justification is some armchair psychology--he's still young, and those things can change. But it's not going to happen fast, this is probably going to be a rough year, and he definitely doesn't deserve an extension yet. He's going to have to overcome a lot this year: a deteriorating offensive line, a bad record, and fan/media/contract pressure. I'm rooting for him, but I don't expect it to end well.
  13. You take what the defense gives you. If the D is loading up not to get beat deep you throw underneath and the check downs because everything else is covered. The Prevent defense is named because it prevents deep passes. In this situation, it's what every team would have done.
  14. They aren't watching the games, just reading box scores.
  15. He checked at the mine on his first blitz and it just looked like double a gap blitz. He saw something coming and just completely poo the bed you throw a quick pass to the flats or slant but Bryce can’t make those passes in that situation so instead he just eats a huge sack while trying to scramble (always to his right) and gives up the fumble because he can’t hold on to the ball. watching Bryce trying to run from a defender is like those slow motion African safari videos of a lion chasing down a gazelle. Dude can’t outrun anyone
  16. 1. He didnt "inherit" Bryce, he was was complecent in picking him 2. Dan had a front row seat in building this roster
  17. It was driving me crazy on that last drive just how long he was holding on to the ball. Both me and my wife were screaming at the TV, "Throw the damn ball!!" Especially on that final 4th down. If you know the sack is coming just throw the dang ball up, and at least give your receivers a chance to try and do something.
  18. I think you have to give Draft picks at least two years to know what you've got: Legette is looking like a bust Brooks is unfortunate - with modern medicine he should have been fine Wallace is struggling Sanders can play Smith-Wade is mediocre Crumedy... is on the roster? Barrett got us Mike Jackson Not exceptional, but if someone else besides Sanders can contribute it's not a cripplingly bad haul.
  19. Saints might not be as beatable as some expected. Finishing 4th in that race would be ugly. Less wins than last year would be ugly. Hard to sell building anything when they can't get to 5 wins again
  20. I don't know what the right protection call is to stop those stunts or even if there is one. Are twists and stunt successful because a protection wasn't called correctly or because the oline and RB did not execute correctly. I know some teams leave those calls to the center. I don't know enough about that aspect of the game to define fault. If that is a problem Bryce has always had dating back to college it would seem an easy fix to take that off his plate.
  21. I agree with this Not sure what he is his play calls were poor through most of the game his 2 min drill, atrociously unrecognizable now who knows how much of that is due to bryce limitations he also loves to call timeouts in situations that only helps the other teams’ offense be better prepared to score. It is maddening And all the rest i believe, could be wrong, that OL coach from last year, left the Panthers for the Jags and it shows Plus Corbett with his injury history had no business starting much less at center canales, never has the answers and there is a time to be Mr Rogers a d a time not to be on dealing with grown men playing at the nfl level
  22. Russell Wilson and Daniel Jones are first and second in passing yards, respectively. Stats need context.
  23. They should have locked the doors and started pumping Zyklon B into the room at that point.
  24. Only way we are going to win is if the other team finds a way to beat themselves like Arizona almost did.
  25. I want to see the All 22 footage of that final "drive".
