Lol fair, and you might, but too many people still keep saying “well the great WRs are putting up 1k as rookies now” and just disregard that the rookies who do that are generally the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd options in their passing game as rookies, while we have a true room full of potential weapons this year.
-
Relax bro I agree with you lol.

His stats in a bubble this year won’t say if he was a bust, or even necessarily the opposite and that he’s a star. It’s all relative to the offense as a whole, as there is a very real chance he only has 750 yards and 8 TDs, but does that in a high functioning offense where we have 4 WRs over 500 yards and 2 RBs over 750 yards rushing. In a scenario like that, his “depleted stats” wouldn’t be because he was a bust but because we had a well balanced offense. I keep saying 2026 will be the year to judge him once Thielen is gone and it opens up 100+ targets in 2026 and don’t bring in anyone to replace him but spread it out to the guys already here to produce more.

A lot of them are percentage based, so if you buy a high dollar ticket you get absolutely scammed. Like 50+ bucks a ticket of useless fees sort of deal.

Because people said as much in earlier threads. Less than 1000 yards and that small amount of touchdowns means he's a bust.

2025 Week 12 -> A Repeat of 2013 Week 11?
WUnderhill replied to SaltAndPepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hoping the team is playing well enough to be on the national radar before that. I feel like either that game or the following game (hoping not both) is basically a schedule loss. Playing a Monday night game in Cali then having to play in Charlotte on Sunday seems rough. We’ll get like 2 days of practice/install. -
April, may. Off season. Thanks for catching my mistake though

Oh I know they’re trolls, but I’m still not going to let a troll slander my GOAT without responding with why they’re woefully incorrect

Uh buddy, I hate to break the news to you but just because you supposedly have watched every snap he has taken 4 times doesnt make you any smarter then the average huddler who can watch games and watch the dozens of highlight videos of him. I think I see your disconnect now. Thats on me for not understanding the stockholm syndrome you have with tet

Ignore em, not worth it. I've gone on the record that I didn't like it but could see the reasoning behind picking him. "I didn't like the fit with the current WR's on the roster and thought trading back and grabbing Golden at 14-15 was a better option/fit if going WR." That said Nola will be a beast in the redzone once he can fix his issues with his release and separating from press man defense. His catch radius and football mind against zone will make him a zone merchant right off the bat and if moved around a bit, should allow him to contribute in the redzone as a rookie giving him time to improve his two weaknesses that he can fix.

Who is questioning Tmacs size outside of the huddle size kings? It’s such a bizarre thought that teams would be fooled by some fake or artificial weight at the combine while rando internet detectives on a message board know the real truth. People have called the combine useless for years. Players have been skipping it for years. Basically the whole top 10 skipped it this year. But the moment the Panthers drafted Bryce Young it became uber important to some of you.

It's just the usual trolls. Ignore them mate Your responses give them joy in their sad lives IF this site was properly ran it might be void of this but it's not. So I suggest you just block them.
-
Back to Bryce lol. I agree. I said "Bryce's situation was different because there were genuine concerns about his size." I'm just saying I doubt Tet did this as well like you suggested as there wasn't really a need to.

It’s not a brag, it’s pointing out facts The bragging will come a few years from now when we have one of the true elite WRs in the league and I can sit back and just say, “I told you so”

2025 Week 12 -> A Repeat of 2013 Week 11?

With the additions we've made to the offensive skill positions and the investments along the OL I certainly hope third year first overall pick Bryce Young's statement game by whatever definition anyone would describe it happens well before week 12. With the way the upcoming QB class is shaping up we don't need glimpses or teases of elite play anymore. That ship has sailed. That was for year 1 and 2. Now we need consistent high level passing ability and decision making early and often. -
Dead serious….. I think some of these guys who are still hating on him aren’t doing it because they don’t like the pick or they want to be right about not wanting him…. It’s that I fought for him soooooooooo much on here that they just want me to be wrong in the end, that’s it. and guy kinda just admitted as much a few minutes ago

Vegas says we are favored in 3 games (last year, we were favorites in none). They say we will be favored to sweep the Saints and beat the Falcons once. I'm a little more worried about Penix than most I guess. There is good news. We are not double digit dogs in any game. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/15/panthers-schedule-betting-odds-every-game/83652185007/?taid=68264a2bfa44a900016d0d71&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

Tet maybe, bryce absolutely not. That was the entire thing leading up to the combine was his size
-
Weighing more than what? His weight seems to be what was expected aside from a random Huddler on here claiming he has the frame of someone in high school? He didn't magically weigh more.... 6'4" and 219 is still a slim frame but again he is a WR so it doesn't matter as much (see Higgins and London). Bryce's situation was different because there were genuine concerns about his size. @LinvilleGorge already hit the nail on the head. None of the top guys are doing combine workouts and it's not some conspiracy about them adding weight.

That Pats game in 2013 is possibly my favorite non-playoff game in the last 15 years. A few other candidates that year including 49ers and Aints and of course several in 2015. But I don't really see the parallels or comparison here. Cam was setting records in his first career game and everyone knew he was 100% the real deal from the start. Him getting benched in year 2 was about as farfetched of a scenario as anyone could dream up. The Pats game I did not view as a turning point for him at all, he played an amazing game but he had amazing games before that too. Honestly, I don't even think Cam was all that much better in 2013 than his first 2 seasons. 2015 was his big breakout year before injuries impacted his prime way too soon. That game was more of a statement win for the team and organization than the QB but we had also beaten the juggernaut 49ers on the road the week before as a statement too. Bryce is no Cam Newton and almost certainly never will be, unfortunately.
