  2. If Icky gets an extention it will probabky save us 10 million or so. His cap hit is 17 million next year and if signs an extention it probably goes down to 6 or 7. Now thats just for next year, after that it will probably be like 20 or so a year.
  3. Lol Bryce isn't getting an extension. We might do his 5th year option to prepare our new QB, but Bryce won't be starting for us beyond his option year (if we pick it up)
  4. Classic armchair QB, backseat driving. Trying to insinuate that is was easy and obvious to see Bryce would struggle in the NFL based on his college career. Most had him at 1 or 2 overall and I think I'd be very safe to say every team had him evaluated as a high 1st round pick. None of that really means poo but acting like it supports the "Truth" about Bryce is just disingenuous. I really like Bryce but I'm not blind. I can see the inconsistent play and problems but I also see more and more examples of elite play. The best course of action is to pick up his option because of the shown continuing improvement (overall and independent of draft expectations), youth of the offense coaching staff and players. Also, the lack of a better option in FA or next years draft. I look it a little like poker. This team lead by Canales and Young is the best hand we've been dealt in a decade. I'm calling the bet but I'm not ready to raise. I wanna see the river card first. Stupid to fold this hand too soon.
  5. I am out of things to say that haven’t been said 100 times. If we buy him a Pro Bowl WR and a Pro Bowl TE and sign 5 really really short OL so he can see, and he still fails most weeks, will people finally give it up? If so let’s do that, please.
  6. I am not one to poo your posts, and I actually agree with some of your theses, but all "The View" stuff and "Low T" stuff is over-the-top. We have an imperfect team, and though there's potential there, it isn't all sunshine. And the fact is, men and fans are going to disagree on the regular about the best way for the team to get to where it needs to be. No need for all that, because people could characterize others as "Low-T" for trying to blow sunshine up people's asses and getting nonplussed because they don't agree with you.
  7. Oh look, another bye team has come out sleep walking. These insane layoffs are a detriment.
  8. Mods are on vacation, I vote to make you one
  9. This hasn't got a thing to do with X's country leanings and southern drawl (I may be perceived as having one, particularly from Yankees or Midwesterners of which I grew up with), but regarding football IQ he may just be unduly affecting the entire perception of the OP's perception of the team on that front. I could be wrong (let's get that out of the way), but in general, I just think that the team's inconsistency of lack of execution is due to a lack of talent, a lack of coaching--specifically a failure to utilize personnel effectively, and, along that same vein, a lack of scheme fit to maximize players' skills, and/or simply an inability to overcome weak links at pretty important positions on both sides of the ball. It could be some, part, or all of those things. And, the fact is, we just don't appear to be ready for the big time. We need some more pieces and more experience. Only then will we have a team whose IQ is not questioned, and a that wins and is expected to win.
  10. Far from? i disagree with that. Sure there's always room for improvement but this roster as currently constructed, with a better QB, is easily a playoff team. I think the roster outside Bryce is ahead of schedule under Dan
  11. https://x.com/jennalaineespn/status/2006778177830650349?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA Todd Bowles said cornerback Jamel Dean and outside linebacker Anthony Nelson will be out Saturday. Calijah Kancey is in play but team will have to make a roster move and he “will definitely be on a snap count.” Bowles said “it’s about pain tolerance” for Tristan Wirfs’ turf toe
  12. It sucks that Tmac is probably going to miss a 1000 yard receiving rookie season and prob OROY because bryce is so cheeks.
  13. I'm also NOT defending Bryce. Just being honest about my Panthers. They are far from being the team I want them to be. Am sure we can at least agree on the last sentence.
  14. None of those are excuses. Those are facts. It's called being unbiased. I dont expect you to be able to be unbiased. You never have shown the ability to do so.
  15. Today
  16. I want Bryce to play his best. Hell, I want him to play more consistently. I don't agree with you and others that love to claim that he's surrounded by talent. He has the least talent to work with just in this division. As long as the Panthers are going to continue trotting him out, I'm going to cheer him on. Do I feel he is the answer? How can anybody say they feel that way, although I also acknowledge the fact that he hasn't played behind the same 5 linemen at all this season. The lack of a productive pass catcher to hold this receiving core togerher has also has had it's negative consequences. With all that being said, I want our Panthers to keep winning every game.
  17. I would hope that nobody reads anything in to this one way or another.
  18. I am not going to internet argue with you. By your stats Bryce isn't even the worst quarterback this year. 2025: 25th in NFL (not the worst) I was arguing the point that someone posted he is the worst starting quarterback in all of NFL's history. He is not. Sorry
