Is Tepper is reading forum, he should answer that question. It sure looks like Bryce was anointed the starter from day one by none other than Tepper, and the rest of the organization were a bunch of ass kissing yes men.
-
From the aspect of seeing him catch passes from a different young QB, I think it'll be worth noting since we've watched a couple years of him doing circus acts to reel in BY throws.
-
He also came from a very simple system.
-
So you wouldn't want a Sam Howell, a Tanner McKee, an Aidan O'Connell, a Davis Mills or hell a Brock Purdy on this roster right now?
-
It's hard to really evaluate the recievers with Bryce out there. He about ended Renfrows career for a second time
-

Bryce should have had a pick 6 on top of all the bad that already existed. Some argue he isn’t as bad as he used to be. This is a better bad. That play….argues otherwise. Bryce isn’t a starting QB. He has answered that. It’s just a waiting game for people to accept it. it took an away from the play hold on Renfrow to wipe that stupidity…..but it shouldn’t be wiped when evaluating Bryce’s day.
-
This staff is weak minded. Gotta bring in a dev guy. Move Hooker up and play him if Bruce gonna suck
-
Every season that passes, that label is looking less true: Geno Smith continued to be serviceable for the Seahawks, taking them to the playoffs more than once. Baker Mayfield actually had a better season after he left and is picking up where he left off this season.
-
To be fair, Renfrow could've had a big game if he had a QB that could throw him a catchable ball.

OFFICIAL Week 1: Panthers @ Jaguars Game Day Thread

My guess is Harbaugh wouldn't commit to Bryce and Tepper is all in on little man. He has to be after what we gave up for him. You would think as a hedge fund manager he would know we to cut bait on a losing proposition. -

Bills might be the best team in the NFL…..and skill position talent around Josh Allen is mid. Mahomes has mid skill talent. By year 3, great QBs start making things happen regardless of what is around them. They start making players. it’s the never ending being Bryce excuse. It’s an all star staff, it’s best spot for QB rookie, a roster that rivals 2003…..then it’s all them. It’s not Bryce. Ignore the best offensive day of the entire season was a washed Andy Dalton. all offseason people were overjoyed with the WRs. Our greatest strength….now they are bums. Bryce has no talent. Good QBs make the deep pass to TMac, they make the pass to Renfrow, they don’t chunk the 4th down ball to the stands, they see the S run from his assignment to jump a different route and that INT doesn’t happen……it’s Bryce first and foremost. QBs are supposed to make people better. The argument is always they need to make Bryce better. -
Couldn't care less about AT. This team wasn't winning poo with or without him as long as BY 9 is here.

We shouldn't be worried about him though. He has already announced to everyone he is just that good. -
I’m trying to be positive on Bryce Young, but….

I have been saying since his rookie year its not a coincidence that all the receivers are constantly having to stretch out to make these catches down the sideline while trying to keep their feet in bounds....its because they are BAD BALLS even when they have their man beat bryce is still air mailing them out of bounds when they should be down the sideline in front of the receiver inbounds. He just struggles with those passes. -
A lot at stake for either team in this one. I'm curious to see how the Bears and Caleb Williams in particular respond to all the talk revolving around them recently. The Panthers fan in me wants them to flounder badly because fug them but even last year with that coaching staff they took us to the woodshed. We'll see.

He's Bryce. Anything 10+ yards is either a 50/50 ball or 2 yards Out of Bounds -
Whisperer my ass. He claims to be excited about working with everyone or anyone. Truth is he will say anything to placate the reporters and fans. Actions speak louder than words.

We need to catch a guy who is a good coach but got fired by a dumb org. Andy Reid/BB are the obviously historical greats here and we won’t find that, but I’d be down at this point to go get Dabol if the giants let him go this year. We should have hired Vrabel when we had the chance. -

All QBs make mistakes every game. 10 year vets do, can’t expect Bryce not to. Team has to be better around him. Can’t keep asking him to figure it out without the team around him. I challenge you to find a QB in today’s NFL that performs while not surrounded by talent. We had one legitimate NFL pass catcher on the field on Sunday and he just got here. -
Lots to pay attention to in this one. Thielen back with the Vikings, after how shitty XL looked and Renfrow not doing much i'm curious about his stat line. JJ McCarthy finally playing some real football, Caleb Williams first game with Ben Johnson as his new head coach. How badly did we screw up by trading up for Bryce instead of just waiting a year for either of them?

The interesting thing I'm getting from this conversation and specifically from the people who are going out of their way to make excuses for him is they don't seem to notice the fact that their arguments and rationalizations basically insinuate everything has to go absolutely perfect in all phases at all times for Bryce Young to succeed in even basic football 101 scenarios. That isn't who we traded up for and that is not who we drafted first overall.
