I said before, if his level is Rams WC game and can make that be the norm, I would be okay with him. It was not Great and I don’t like not having certain skills at the position but it was good enough to meet an acceptable competitive standard. For me. To get off his ass.

Why trading up in 2026 is a bad idea.

If Morgan starts getting trade up happy his keys need to be taken away. -
I can see that too. I am keeping in mind that we may have two shots, another next year. A guy taken this year could become ROT maybe as soon as next season. So maybe there is a second round guy if they don’t like the options at 19. ps I would understand if they hesitate to jump in with both feet for LOT until they have a definitive take on if Icky can come back.

He did play better against the Rams. But that's the crux of the issue. He is closing in on 50 career games. There have been plenty of past Panthers QB's who ultimately weren't the answer who would have undoubtedly flashed here and there if we had given them this many starts. Hopefully Dan Morgan actually fields a realistically competitive QB room this go around and we will be able to see the offense with someone else in the event we see the same thing with Bryce. IE one game he stinks plays better for a few games then stinks again then plays better one game stinks again then plays better for a few games because the heat is on. Like cmon enough with this. He's run out of rope.

Need will drive up the price. Supply and demand. I know Darnold had a 14-3 year or something before he got 3/100. And Willis obviously hasn’t. I still think it will take more than 12-15. We’ll probably find out within a couple of weeks.

Sam Franklin resigned to a one-year deal by the Buffalo Bills. Play it again, Sam.

The amount of "history" I've been on in losing bets is wild. Haha. On this tonight. Boston played late last night, and now a back to back with Giannis back. Canes traveling across the country for the first of a west coast dip. Iowa State coming off a brutal home loss to a down Texas Tech team and now on the road two days later. Duke just because.

Yeah, Ickey's injury threw a wrench into the works for sure. I can see a scenario where Morgan resigns Nijman and goes BPA defense at 19.

Lew is ranked as the first or second center in this draft. Proctor is, what, fourth or fifth ranked tackle? Admittedly, it's hard to compare across different positions and make judgments on relative value. Morgan may very well take the BPA defender at 19 and Lew in the second. Lew might be capable of starting (yes, it might look ugly for a game or two), where Proctor would certainly struggle if asked to start at LT and be asked to protect BY's blind side. But I'm just a retired numbers guy so, what do I know?

4 games in Seattle and Western Canada. Seriously, none of these 4 teams are that good, but I know better than to expect a 4-game sweep. Surprise me, please! Not hearing anything on the TDL front, either?

I agree, I think the cost to get him would be too high. My point is our 2026 schedule is going to be very tough to outperform 2025 and we'd be in a position to have a top 5 to 10 pick. -

We have way too many needs to trade up. There will be good prospects available throughout that also fit a need. If you had a crystal ball that could predict future All-Pros and HOFers, sure. But there's no sure things in the draft. Great prospects bust every draft and some mid to late rounders end up being very good pros. -

bro he is going in the top 10. It would take a haul to get there from 19 -

I think that is a better idea especially since the LB group this year is pretty strong but the thought of us getting Styles is tempting. I would trade up for him ONLY if we don't have to give up a 1st next year. -

I would love to see us move up and take Styles but IMO that would cost us s 2027 first round pick. Our schedule next year is brutal. We will play every division winner and we were under .500. This is brutal and the possibility of having a top 5 pick is very possible. The bad season would almost certainly be because Young had a bad or mediocre season. Giving up a first-round pick would cost us the chance to get a replacement for Young. Thoughts?
-
No I would not pay that. I would consider 12 a year but more than that I will have to be convinced he is worth it.
