From a fan perspective? Yeah. From the Canales/Morgan perspective? You gotta still be employed by then. I'm not sure Bryce/Dalton/Hooker gets that done. Tepper wants offense. If you bring in a vet who puts up yards and points but buries you with turnovers you've at least demonstrated that you can make your offense work with an NFL caliber QB. This current embarrassment of a poo show probably leads to another full on reset with the talent pool of people willing to come work for Tepper shrinking increasingly smaller. I mean, someone is always going to sign up for that payday but I think we're to the point that our wish lists have to start where everyone else's ends because anyone with other options is choosing the other option. That's why the thought of another reset just isn't very exciting to me.

Obviously too soon to tell on some of DM's draft picks. There's a lot to be excited about IMO with young guys (All draft picks this year outside of Etienne), and last year's is a mixed bag. 1 and 2 look like busts which he needs to own, but Chau, JT if he can stay healthy, and trading for Mike Jack were all good business in last year's draft. Trevin is the wildcard. Been hot garbage, but improvement. Doesn't help when the Huddle identified better players in a lot of the spots, though. Free Agency I think has been decent. I think he's filled what holes he can while not being crazy. I think the defensive players we signed this offseason were again good business, but I'm also worried Evero may ruin them. As for Canales, the locker room at least seems to believe and is still saying the right things. Patience is obviously running thin, and I don't love a lot of Canales, but until there's mutiny I just think he gets another year and likely another QB to prove it. One part of me is on team blow it up again. But another part is stuck on just being patient and letting it play out. Unless we get a Tomlin/Vrabel proven coach, another GM and Coach combo just feels exhausting at this point. A good QB covers a lot of ills, but so does a good coach. Chicken or the egg, and frankly I don't have confidence in Tepper to hire another coach anyway.

Yeah it permeates everything, everyone’s consciousness. Defense too. Maybe ST are somewhat immune but the players on those units participate in the other phases. It is a motivation killer to know that you have probably lost before you ever step in the ring.

They might as well. They spent a lick on them and they're ass so give him a shot in real action. It'll at least get them press coverage for a minute which I honestly think was the primary driver of that pick to begin with.
-
Nope. Draft a 2026 QB in the top 10.
-
I would....but it looks like browns gonna turn to him soon anyway like a lot of people expected.
-
The franchise needs to reboot and get back to their roots.

I just don’t see these guys playing for Dave Canales. guys played their hearts out for Steve. They played with heart because they never wanted to feel like they let him down. That he would be disappointed if they half assed it. They had respect for Steve. It wasn’t fear, it was respect. It was palpable. It was undeniably Steve’s team. He was the leadership that they desperately needed. No, Steve was not leading this team to SB, but this team needed, and still needs a Steve. No where does it feel like it is undeniably Canales’ team. Guys don’t play for him. if they had any ounce of respect for him or each other, then yesterday would have never happened. They definitely don’t respect Bryce, but they did respect Sam. QB is a problem, but this goes much deeper. This team needs an alpha man piloting the ship at HC first, alpha QB second. Someone who will tell Tepp to stuff it with his ‘suggestions’ … and therein lies the core issue. -
thats why he needs a new change of scenary, the fans have been calling for his head for years Trade 2 first let him pick the gm and establish at least a competent base of winning
-
I'm pretty sure the media narrative will be the team failed him, which is true. But they will leave out the part where he's not cut out for the nfl.
-
Go get me Jameis or Howell. Get me a guy who has proven he can put up numbers. Forget the turnovers, we just need to see if Canales can field an offense that can produce given a QB with NFL tools. The Bryce question feels answered. Now we need to answer the Canales question. The reality is that Shedeur has looked like ass except against our camp bodies - the camp bodies of one of if not the worst team in the league. He looked like ass against our primary backups. He didn't do anything until we were playing Amazon warehouse workers.
-
It’s been the National media narrative since he got in the league. It was even the script from yesterday until it got so bad schlereth couldn’t pretend anymore. little poo has friends in high places. I don’t see a reason that’s going to change once he joins college gameday.
-
I wouldn’t be against that my worry would be that he has been doing this a long time and there may be some burnout.
-
I bet I can throw Bryce Young further than Bryce Young can throw a football.
-
99% of fans? No. Media types with agendas? Absolutely.
-
There would be no reason for the knives to come out after he's benched. They will be out until he IS benched however. I'm sure there is a lot of ass covering going on right now.
-
they have scored 30 in their past 3 games, they have an offense

Involving narcissistic Hollywood actors in any real world endeavor is a prescription for dysfunction. They lend their names to things, they don’t really do anything else but talk and pose.
-
I say give Perkins or hooker a shot. They can't be any worse
-
No rational football fan that has watched the league for numerous years could possibly come to this conclusion. He is literally too small to play qb in the nfl for so many reasons. If thats what people want to ride with then they are idiots

At first i liked the carolina reaper nickname. It was funny but now that i realize he’s doing it to us, I don’t haha

The dirty secret of the modern NFL is that fan anger or boycotts barely dent a team’s core earnings. With the league’s massive national TV deals and equal revenue sharing, even perennial losers like the Panthers get a guaranteed multimillion-dollar check every year before they sell a single ticket or jersey. Franchise values keep climbing because NFL teams are scarce, not because of their win-loss records. Remember Tepper is an investment guy and from an investment standpoint, building a winner is actually the risky play. It takes hundreds of millions in extra spending on coaches, facilities, and player contracts over years, and the payoff, higher local revenue, brand prestige, and maybe a valuation premium, only materializes if you sustain success. Compared to the baseline 8-12% annual appreciation every team enjoys just by existing, the "extras" from winning looks small and uncertain. So while we understandably want victories, the business case for winning isn’t as clear-cut. For many Tepper the safer bet is to hold the asset, cash the league’s checks, and let scarcity do the work. In that model, fan wallets just aren’t the lever they used to be. If Tepper had the kind of legacy goals of the Hunts or Jerry, or the Fords it might be different

Easy money would be on Dalton starting vs the Cowboys. that home and home combo going to bench Bryce Lose to the Phins and there is zero shot Tepper lets them roll out Bryce on national TV vs Dallas. Talk of the broadcast would be the booing fans. Thats impacted Tepper in prior years when fans sour and the home schedule is what it is
-
We don't draft "Dawgs". The whole fuging huddle would have taken this guy over Wallace. We suck because we suck at talent evaluation
