  2. After looking at the new cap numbers (23 million) I agree with the move to cut Clowney, but in my opinion, your assessment couldn’t be further from the truth. According to PFF, Clowney was # 3 against the run as an OLB/Edge last year, and while he only had 5.5 sacks he was #13 for generating pass rush. He was surrounded by practice squad players for the majority of the year. In addition, very few players have played 10+ years in the NFL AFTER micro fracture knee surgery. He lost his bend and a lot of his athleticism his rookie year when he got the surgery. That is what you consider a lazy bum ?????? Like I said, few if any have done it. Dude wanted to be here. It’s home for him. It amazes me how some of you Huddlers treat players that rep the Carolina Panthers. Players surveys and player sentiment around the league will hurt us when it comes to bring in that prize free agent player that gets us over the top. Don’t be confused when they sign elsewhere. I personally love the south and the smaller city vibe, but we are competing against some prize destinations with big markets and low taxes.
  3. I think they only play 4 teams (TB twice) that made the playoffs last year
  4. Yes--I think that is what they are doing. Both Safeties have the ability to play deep. When the coaches were asked, they said the same things about both Safeties. I am not sure that we are going to have a pure free safety.
  5. She ain't an all-pro. Dude could have pulled a 10 that would just hang out in the mansion and use his credit card. Instead he settled for a 6 that thinks she's going to use him to build a pr empire and be annoying as fug while doing it.
  6. Horn looks quick and he seems to be humble--he sounds like Armanti Edwards when he talks--The thing that impresses me about Horn is his balance and his speed out of breaks. Watch again and see what I mean. This guy could be a gem.
  7. That's basically it. Some here talking about this and that. At this point in his career, teams already know what they're getting. The first round stuff has long past. He's been a solid player nonetheless, even for us. But there always comes a time when age begins to catch up with you. We're obviously making the room younger, and that's the priority as it should be. Joining a contender as a good rotational piece is probably the best thing that he can do if he wants to make an impact and maybe even get a ring.

  9. She's here for the celebrity rub as much as anything, the sugar daddy money is a side benefit. But... he hasn't put a ring on her finger, so there's no long term money investment or worries for Bill. What does Bill get? Well... just look and you can tell. The guy has cut quite a few all-Pro players in his career. Just saying.
  10. Wonnum and Patrick Jones are solid starters and should be able to play well as we allow the rookies to get their feet wet. Between those 4 and Barno needing to be active for special teams reasons how was Clowney gonna get his reps? Good on the front office for pulling the band aid off now because I guarantee you by mid-season Clowney would be complaining about playing time and production exactly like he did in Cleveland. Clowney needs to learn that teams view him as a productive veteran stop gap with attitude issues and no team is building their edge room around him.
  11. What are you talking about the series is 2-1? And they lost both on the road. Panthers next game is home.
  12. Evero is on the hot seat so taking a shot on Walker was too much of a risk . He got two edge rushers that fit his scheme better . Also Young has all he weapons to improve his game . If he does not then he is out the door as well . Go Panthers
  13. The dude is old and rich, he doesn't give a fug what anyone thinks otherwise he wouldn't be showing her off

  17. https://x.com/josephperson/status/1920876648322277827 A lot of special teams work early in the session. Some half-line offense, necessary since there are only 3 OL. And some nice hands catches by several of the WRs - Tetairoa McMillan, Miles Cross and Jacolby George.
  18. https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1920872923214008827 Since we are positioned right near the OL, might as well show you #Panthers OL coach Joe Gilbert giving undrafted OT Michael Tarquin (Oklahoma) some solo time. Gilbert handles the OTs during prax and Goodwin gets the interior fellas.

  24. The UNC job is just for Bill to get out of the house. He clearly doesn't give a fug.
