Canales seemed pissed off in his press conference today. He referenced the leadership council multiple times. I feel like there was some type candid feedback and exchange from both sides and they pushed Canales to make changes he didn’t want to make or the FO didn’t want him to make.

Dion Dawkins on his confrontation with A’Shawn Robinson
Pantherxtreme replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Eh sounded reasonable to me. Emotions were high in a blowout. Like that fight from Robinson though our rather see team pissed off after getting blown out than laughing and joking afterwards. -
10 more carries and he'd be top 3

Dion Dawkins on his confrontation with A’Shawn Robinson
PantherBoy95 replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Eh, hate to say it but I disagree here. A'Shawn trying telling him we can fight after the game shows where his head was at, and it wasn't in football. And if Ekwonu can get any tips from Dawkins who is a 4x Pro Bowler I'm all for it. Oh well, we live to fight another week. Would love if we're the ones frustrating the Packers with a blowout this time. -
Dowdle would probably be leading rusher or close to it had he been the lead back all season most of those guys in front have more volume of carries. Makes you wonder how his talent didn't flash in practice seeing how little use he got in the early part of the season. It's not like it came out of nowhere he rushed for a 1000 yards last season even though just like here he started as backup and didn't get significant carries until the 2nd half of the season, Cowboys were playing an ineffective Zeke in front of him. Not sure why Jerry didnt try to resign him, but they paid for that in the game against us. Canales seemed determined to repeat the same mistake as Dallas, hopefully he's gotten out of his own way. This team has lacked identity the past few seasons, especially have been missing that fire starter on offense like he had with Cam, Jonathan Stewart, Steve Smith's of the world. We had that briefly for 2 games hopefully the 2nd half of the season we can get back to that brand of football where teams know what we're doing but can't stop it.

Hornets @ Heat 10/28 Game Thread
HeelsPanthersCanes replied to Panther49er's topic in Charlotte Hornets
I've already paid my next year's mortgage taking overs on Hornets games. They are the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA. Whatever the number is, just slam the over. -
It's better to clear the cap space and not use it than clear it and then overspend on a player out of need and them not live up to the contract. Clear it this year, roll it over and spend it next year on a player worthy of the contract.

Even more reason to bring one in on a 1 year deal in the offseason. Pretty low risk move -
We are projected to have 31,000,000 next offseason. This rolls over and makes 47,000,000. Getting rid of Robinson saves like 8,000,000 and Tremble is like another 6,000,000 (I think that’s why Mitchell Evans is here). That’s over 60,000,000 plus there is the yearly cap increase and you can always move money around on Hunt, Brown, Horn, etc. We could have 80,000,000 in cap next offseason if we wanted it.

The ironic part… it’s that very insurance company lol

Yep, all my kids had chicken pox vaccines. I had chickenpox when I was 6 as there was no vaccine. Once chickenpox was defeated, it hid in one of my nerves on my rib , laying dormant until stress and lack of sleep triggered it to wake up and attack my nervous system along that very rib. I was prescribed antiviral which prevents virus from multiplying but not dying. Virus then goes back into hiding in that very rib again, waiting to be triggered and attack again. Shingles shot prevents virus from multiplying at rapid pace when it triggered again. Still can get shingles but very very mild.

Those aren't elite QB's. Those are reclaimation projects, most of which have failed. Those should be available most offseasons given recent history. -
It’s a good place to vent as well. It’s also been a good place to just share ideas and insight on things that casual fans wouldn’t get or care about. If fans are here chances are they are a pretty committed fan and/or they have followed the team a while.

Dude sounds like a complete dipshit. Basically calls Robinson scared and corny. Said Robinson wanted to fight after the game. Also said he was trying to help our Tackle with tips on being a Tackle. Which is funny considering Ekwonu and Moton are graded higher than him and he and Nijman are about the same age. https://x.com/bleacherreport/status/1983687280423530497?s=46

Well said. I just don’t understand how Canales thinks he will gain the respect of your players if you don’t play the best players based on their level of play and contribution. Everyone is so damn coddled it’s no wonder they fold when punched in the mouth

I consider this as a place to commiserate with fellow fans that have hung on since the very beginning. Kinda like an AA meeting or therapy session for long time Panthers fans.

Blowout incoming and the wheels fall off. Parsons will have multiple sacks, prob a FF. Media immediately starts saying the Bryce era is over

It's worth noting that we started playing something that looked like football after going down 17-0 against the Dolphins. Up to that point we had rushed the ball 3 times and Bryce had two turnovers. Then we ran it 5 straight times with Rico and he started cracking off some big gains and led to our first touchdown. Another 37 yards of rushing later, Bryce goes 1 yard complete, incomplete, incomplete to get that field goal before halftime. Then we committed big time to the run in the second half and played some really nice complimentary football. The Panthers had stumbled on a formula, and it started with Rico being crazy productive. Something they only learned because Chubba was injured and Bryce started that game so poorly they were forced to lean on Rico. Fast foward to Dallas, they essentially lean into the same game plan against the Cowboys and I think everyone was surprised by how quickly it started to look complimentary. In my opinion the productive offense really helped the defense as well. We played quite solid against a top offense. Finally we make our way to the Jets and Bills, Chubba's return. You can't say the low scoring affair and return to ineffective football against the Jets was all on Chubba, they were indeed a better defense and so was Buffalo. But the production difference between the two backs in both games was both visually and statistically obvious. The bigger picture is the offense took a major step back as well. They are other moving parts and it's isn't all one thing, BY9>Dalton by a decent margin at this point. But yeah, Rico's vision and athleticism is just better than Chubba and it jumps at you.

First day in 3 weeks my pain started to dwindle just a tiny bit. Got switched from hydrocodone to post-shingles pain patches. My insurance refused to pay for my patches as I’m too young for shingles per them. I also need a prescription to get shingles shot and insurance also won’t pay for it even thought I just had shingles and in high risk to get it again.

think about this for a min if chuba never had the calf injury, rico would have never had those back to back 200 yard games as canales would continue his dumb RB rotations and those two games vs Miami and Dallas would have been in the loss column instead

It’s the right size to play QB for us.
