Directly. You can indirectly help facilitate as many outside NIL deals as possible. The perks you're talking about are essentially what are now simply NIL deals not directly coming from the school and they're legal now.

Allowable is the operative word here. If you think Georgia, Penn State and similar programs are only spending $20M on players, Eric Dickerson's Trans Am would like a word with you.

I gotta say Ima fan of subbing out Wallace for Moehrig and bringing in Ransom. I just wish we had a little more talent to rotate out Scott and Roseboom. They know the defense so I get the why ... Offensively, I'm holding out judgement until I see this unit with Coker. I've been seeing improvement weekly BUT we gotta figure out the pass rush. What do we have like 1 sack?

I don’t know I like a lot of the early games, the Duke / Syracuse game should be good. ND and Arkansas, don’t count out the razorbacks, UCS and Illinois

There were a number of factors but I think one that is overlooked is I don't think Baker was in a good head space here. He had just been rejected by the Browns and we were in disarray ourselves with Rhule soon to be on the way out and Fitterer was still our GM. It just wasn't mean to be. But we've also seen brief glimpses of bad Baker. I mean he was god awful when we played them in Charlotte last year. Everyone is back to praising Darnold too. I don't think that's built to last.

Stop. I'll take this offensive roster with Cam at QB over the roster Cam carried to a SB. Straight up. Greg Olsen is the only one I'd be losing off the 2015 roster that would have me saying "damn, that's gonna be hard to replace".

Tetairoa McMillan arguably did much more with less as a collegiate. Relative to the problems that they played for, and the players that they played with, there is an argument that T-Mac was the better college football player.

I seem to remember the Falcons owner piping in noise on game days and it was obvious too , i think the Falcons assistant said that before the game

Many nfl qbs can throw it from the 50 …then there are those who know how to throw in rhythm and layers …velocity is very important in the nfl due to the closing speed of NFL CBs It simply cannot hang in the air i have not seen Young have those qualities at the NFL level. i dont care what he did in college, nfl is a different beast i read that the rookie WR Horn has been activated…the only true speedster on the roster. Let’s see what Canales calls The patriots are great against the run, not so much the pass my true feeling is either Young or Canales will not be in Carolina for the 2027 season. Young is too limiting on the playbook. They will keep him in year 4 and then trade him this season tells the tale

I don't see how this is hard to understand. Folks are dunking over Stroud regressing to Bryce levels while seemingly failing to understand that it's a lot more about Stroud regressing, not Bryce improving and at least Stroud has shown that he can be a high level NFL QB. And there's still that inconvenience of the reality that a LOT of Bryce's stats production comes in garbage time against soft zone defense because our opponent is nursing a big lead. The level of cope for some is just comical.

The early games today don't look like much but there's some good games starting at 3:30.

Two really good games last night. I fell asleep during halftime Oregon State/Houston but randomly woke to catch the last couple minutes and OT. I was hoping Oregon State would pull it off to get a W instead of falling to 0-5.

Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?
mrcompletely11 replied to Panthero's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
Mcshay was on the bill simmons pod yesterday and breaks down a lot of the qb prospects. Loves the oregon kid, still likes lsu kid a lot as well. Not high on Allar at all. With Fernadez he says he plays in RPO quick decision offense and its hard to evaluate him because of the 30 throws a game maybe 5 are nfl worthy. But he is big strong and mobile. I absolutely will be watching Indiana vs iowa today -
Please show me a post where I am making an excuse for stroud. He isnt playing well for sure, but you see, what you absolutely are either being willfully obtuse and simple too stupid to understand is that Stroud has shown the talent to not only win his division but to win in the playoffs. With bryce...........well you know how what he can and cant do.

Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?

Walk away with Moore and Sadiq and that’s a big win. I doubt Moore declares yet and Sadiq probably goes in the late first as of now. Mateer is interesting because that injury to his hand could make him drop more than he should. Still going in the first though as of now. Plus QBs always get overdrafted. -
I guess some coaches are smarter than others It sure seemed like they knew what the Panthers were going to do beforehand and this goes beyond just film study kudos to them From the Athletic Quote . As the undefeated San Francisco 49ers prepare to host the 2-1 Jacksonville Jaguars, 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh was asked Thursday what the biggest challenge would be, specific to the Jaguars. “Jacksonville is a very young but a very talented group,” Saleh said. “(Jaguars head coach) Liam (Coen) and his staff, a couple of guys coming from Minnesota, they’ve got a — legally — really advanced signal-stealing type of system, where they always find a way to put themselves in an advantageous situation. They do a great job of it. They formation you, they just try to find any nugget they can. So, we’ve got to be great with our signals and we’ve got to be great with our communication to combat some of the tells that we might give on the field,” Saleh continued. “They’re almost elite in that regard, that whole entire (coaching) tree, from Sean (McVay) to Kevin O’Connell to all of those guys. They all do it. So, there’s challenges. They’re going to catch us in some situations where they have the advantage and we’ve just got to play good, sound fundamental football and do our best to out-execute them.” Coen was asked about Saleh’s comments on Friday. “I’m not going to speak on that fully right now,” Coen said. “(We) have a huge game for us coming up this weekend. We’ve got a great defense that we’ve got to go and attack, and that’s where our whole mindset and mentality is right now.” Coen was pressed further, with a reporter asking if figuring out “whatever tell your opponent has” is part of a coach’s job. end quote

Sour grapes? Bro, I’m the guy that was just arguing King is THE best QB in the ACC the other week. You straight up manifesting something here lol. I merely said they need King to stay on field and healthy….and that is something to question if you talking about a GT run. Because he gets hurt. A lot. I’ll take GT over any team in the ACC if King is ready to rock and roll. He is the best player.

Stroud will be fine. Yeah they need to fix his OL they stripped apart and yeah he is currently playing bad with his new OC and no OL. The main difference is Stroud showed what he can be for a whole season his rookie year, plus went to the playoffs in each of his first two seasons. I believe he is 2-2 in the playoffs at a very young age for a franchise that was the 2nd worst when they drafted him. This season looks bad but it’s also very early. I will say that this season so far gives you a glimpse of how Stroud would look here. It’s still very much a team sport and always will be.

Totally fair assessment + criticisms. The breaking down of abilities though... he really is and has been processing things at a high level. The rookie season to forget, while many casual fans were upset that their eye test was being failed, many folks that know ball saw the insanity taking place with the highly touted coaching staff that end up being the biggest bust we have seen in a long time, an injury-riddled OL, and subpar weapons. Those were called excuses then and now. Hell, even the criticisms about Bryce's arm strength seem to revolve around plays where he was unable to set his feet and deliver the ball. Not always, but there's been enough video showing stuff for example how many catchable deep balls thrown that aren't due to receivers not holding on. The difference in how the team handled the blitz in week 3 makes me wonder how much of those first two weeks' blitz pick-up issues were on Corbett. I think Stroud should be fine so long as he doesnt regress to how he was in college for all but the Georgia game. Pressure would really, really rattle him. That was the main reason why 3wks before the draft I put Bryce as 1a and CJ as 1b. Before anyone thinks that I'm just arguing to be right, I also thought that Max Duggan was a mid-round steal so being right clearly isnt that important to me as much as it is figuring out where I got it wrong (the league just wasnt ready for Max's greatness... ).

Goddamn that is a hefty MFer.

I think ultimately Stroud passes the "eye test" so it's a matter of whether he will get it together again. Would a change of scenery help, etc? If he keeps declining, you have to wonder if he was just a flash in the pan early. That can happen to rookies. Poor Bryce......it's just hard to really pin anything down that he does well. If you really start breaking down individual QB specific abilities, it's hard to say he does anything at even an average NFL starting level. I think Bryce's leash ends up ultimately being shorter because he just doesn't have the advantage that CJ does with coming out of the gate hot in his rookie season. Also, DC didn't draft him and has already benched him.
