I've got some work around the house to do today. More than likely it will be the whip around coverage for the 1pm slot and then I'll see the 4pm game. I am not excited about any of the network games in my area today.

The biggest problem with this team is the passing game. But factoring how young the WRs, TEs and QB are, I think there's still untapped potential. We've just seen what they CAN be. Now let's see it more consistently.

But I will say I was pretty much lock step with their 2025 draft. The only picks I really questioned was Etienne (Billy Bowman made more sense to me than another RB) and Jimmy Horn (Tez Johnson seemed like the better choice) but it was the right idea/WR type to me.

I knew Wilson would slide a little because of the injury history, and I didn’t know what we were gonna do with our first pick, but I was absolutely sure we were gonna take him either with that one or whatever it took to get back up in the 2nd or 3rd to grab him. It just made too much sense. I know there was a lot of hype coming out of our camp for him too. And then the draft happened and it was like there was absolutely no urgency… again, it just made too much sense and we blew it. And then when PIT took him, and him being a LB l, I knew everything I thought he was, he was going to be. fugin sucks.

She’s just mad because the last time they were in the SB, I celebrated that they lost.

He had an injury history at NC State that evidently made them leery. He went to a high school 10 miles from me, he was a heck of a player in high school as you would imagine. He tore his ACL during his senior year in high school and re-tore it again soon after arriving at State. He had season ending surgery in 2021 after having surgery on both shoulders in the offseason. He did play 2 full, healthy seasons to end his college career.

I know people accuse me of mental gymnastics but if you put the all hands on deck alarm that was out there for the QB, so much of it makes sense as far as what they were thinking. Canales and Morgan both were hired with a mandate. Tepper is not a patient man. Told Reich Young’s bad footwork needed to be fixed that week. Which was Reich’s next to last or maybe last week. Something like that. Near the end. Morgan for sure was aware of that situation. Rech had told him it would take an offseason. And it did. More really, that still isn’t fixed right.

That’s right. Lawyer Milloy rings the bell. You can’t go by week one, dating that far back. Week two is off the table for me anymore, with the 3 preseason games and the CBA limiting team activities, practices, whatever. I mean, 2 a days? Forget it.

I just saw the Texas hit and honestly they need to ban jumping on these plays.

I've seen it more than once, typically from slow starting teams that improve as the season progresses. So far, that seems to fit Canales MO. It's why I think his offseason program needs some tinkering.

Same season as us, I'm pretty sure. They lost their opener 41-0 in what was a revenge game for a recently cut Lawyer Milloy. Everyone thought they were cooked. Didn't play out that way. Stuff like that is why I don't put huge stock in stat driven analysis or poor early season / preseason performances. If you think back to week one, people had us contending for the number one pick this year after how we looked early on.

So you think that is a common scenario over the course of a season?
