  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, grading individual players and "success" level is harder, IMO. I could always do an average based on career AV and then create something based on that. That might be interesting.
  3. Right. That’s why I’m not gonna go any farther with it.
  4. We already done with game threads? Maybe just make one for the whole season
  5. The guys you are talking about as "successes" are considerably older than the last two or three years. It is possible that preparation isn't as robust in college anymore(this has been brought up before by several observers). For Darnold as a single example, he literally has less experience playing QB than any single current QB on an NFL roster. Including rookies.
  6. I am confused by what you are asking. Also, the preliminary resulta of the model don't bear out that later round picks have a higher success rate. Remember, I am not ranking QB's.
  7. Today
  8. I like Chuba but I’d ship him off for peanuts just to dump the contract. Just a silly deal by the team. Not his fault they gave it to him.
  9. As soon as they get some success, they look for some way to fug it up
  10. thanks for being honest but thats just not reality, and even if it was the 20th best qb just isnt going to cut it. But again I appreciate your true thoughts
  11. Ship Chuba out, keep Rico, make him the featured back and let him cook, that's clearly how he's best. Then figure out next year after the season.
  12. doubt Morgan would trade one of the dawgs that he's building around. And if it is a 4th, it will be a late one. But we'd save over 20 mill on the cap which we could spend on Rico. I wouldn't do the trade unless we work out a deal with Rico ahead of time, and on a similar contract with Chuba. Incentive laden but still a reward for his accomplishments. Our line will be healthy again next year, and we have that mystery back that we spend a second (!) on who may finally be healthy next year. Too many signs point to no trade. But I'd do it under those conditions.
  13. Sure, but with the news we're rethinking our RB room he clearly has less value, so... I don't expect him to be traded for the reason you sight but yeah
  14. Build up the defense, get a vet QB, let Bryce back him up, get a QB in 2027 draft, let him back up the vet at least to begin the season
  15. You grip things with your fifth and fourth finger. It’s why that’s how you have a firm hand grip. Or if you’re deadlifting that’s generally where the strength of the grip comes from. when throwing the ball, the thumb acts as a backstop and fulcrum for the rest of the throw. If you can’t guide it you’ll lose accuracy and power. like serve a tennis racquet without using your thumb. You wouldn’t be able to get anything on it, and you couldn’t reliably hit the ball anywhere.
  16. Andy Dalton also had a "thumb sprain" last year after those horrific losses to the Bears and Commanders. I put as much stock in this talk from the team surrounding his thumb as I do any other source of propaganda.
