I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice. 2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that? He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things. Needs a good draft.
-
K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.

Don't care if they win or not. Hire the High Point coach (go watch his post game speech) and bring Martin, Anderson, and Johnston with you. Way better than any PG we have, SF we have or shooter we have. -
Nah, not me. That's why I said I'd be done with the Panthers if they hired Sean Payton and I meant it.

Oh so it is the person you do not like. I would be very happy if UNC could pull him away from Florida. I care how he coaches. Could give two shits how he is as a person.
-
Dude. They're the defending champions and are still in this year's tournament. Meanwhile the Heels have Hubert Doofus Davis as their coach (for now). You're talking about prestige. I'm talking about right now. Florida is the better program.
-
lol Rockets tried their damndest to choke it away and they somehow pull it out on a buzzer beating put back. Let’s go. Jazz also making it a game with Philly as of now

D-Mo on FA & some of my general thoughts
PantherPhann89 replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not sure that no one wanted to come to Carolina. We were Cash strapped for a while and looking at signing cheap help. But Dan Morgan is jumping on players while the Panthers are hot. Players want some of that attention and the opportunities it brings. Hopefully the days of bad mouthing the Team's Ownership, coaches and players are a thing of the past. But, history with our fans tells me a different story... -

You're severely misunderstanding how NIL works. BYU, literally a non-brand for any coach, recruit or just casual fan, landed the highest paid player in America. And if "budgets were equal", the entertainment company I currently run would be Disney. We live in a world where Michael Jordan and his influence/money could buy us anything we wanted. And he's not willing, so be prepared for all the mediocrity. Hire the High Point coach, let him bring his PG with him. -
High point, the best team in North Carolina
-
Good hit, I bet 0 bball today. I went ahead and put my parlay in for soccer tomorrow since the first game I like starts at 730. Como over shots on target is probably the biggest stretch so it may be over before I wake up lol. All the wins I feel pretty good about if you want to tail those
-
Yeah magic choked that away. Out of the group of 5 philly and Orlando are clearly trending down and Charlotte Atlanta Miami trending up. I'd expect that to be the 6-8 and I would really like to see them at least finish 7th
-
Ehh I doubt it I think he probably does want to just be a Warrior lifer and continue to contend with them and extend the dynasty/legacy there. I can absolutely see him coming here if the Warriors blow it up but I think he’s fine trying to run it back next year with a healthy Butler, etc. I think it’ll blow up in their faces and if so then he’s a UFA and could just sign here then if he wants and we’re truly contending Magic loss was huge, a questionable out of bounds call with 4 seconds left led to a 3 pointer to win it for LA. Hawks pulled away big on the Warriors’ scrubs, no surprise. Rockets Heat is a tight one. We really need the Rockets to win it. Heat would have a tiebreaker over us but they have a hellish schedule coming up and I could see us finishing a game above them. We have tiebreaker over Hawks and Orlando. Philly TBD. 1.5 games out of 6-8 seeds as of now…

To shed a solid light, if Abney fell that far, he would be a great get. Otherwise, yeah… -
Need to win that one. Still within range of that 6th seed, but I would be fine with the 7th or 8th. I just don’t want to have to depend on this team winning 2 in a row to get in
-
Magic lose by 1!!! Come on rockets

I wonder if Steph regrets that contract extension. I would love him getting 20 minutes a game next year for the hornet's
-
Blew out the Grizzlies. Next up the Kings in Charlotte on Tuesday night.
-
That's how the sold most of the donors on it. More money driven from football would equal more money for basketball but then they had to commit to guaranteed spend on football in Belichick's contract so if football isn't driving additional revenue then in essence it's just stealing from basketball.
-
They did it because college football brings in so much more money than basketball.. Unfortunately they spent it all on the wrong coach. I'm glad Hubert is gone but they have to get this hire right
-
Texas Moneyline. This is the year Gonzaga realizes NIL is too much and Mark Few comes to Carolina.
-
The idiotic huge investment into Belichick and the commitments he contractually forced to be spent on the football program is a big problem right now. If he was delivering promise on the field it would pay off but Belichick isn't holding up his end of the bargain in that regard. I have heard from a big Rams Club booster (a whole row of third row tickets at the Deam Dome) that Hubert is gone. With the Belichick disaster and basketball floundering the money is gon a dry up if they don't do something big and it's cheaper to do it with Hubert right now than Belichick, plus most of the donors are still just way more into basketball based on the history of Carolina athletics.

Drafting based on height of 1 player sounds like a beyond horrible idea. We already had a 6'7" tackle -
