  1. Past hour
  2. This is one of the worst scenarios statistically imaginable to pull out the "stats are for losers." This may go down as an all-time worst call. Let me show you. Super Bowl Winners Point Differential Over 100: 45 (76.3%) 50-100: 12 (20.3%) 0-49: 1 (1.7%) Negative: 1 (1.7%) Both the 0-49 and Negative instances were Eli Manning and the NY Giants.
  3. So now it’s a referendum on 4th down conversions. You win.
  4. You do end up having to choose between those guys though. It's a great problem to have, but you gotta pick the right guys. Look at the Bengals.
  5. The hit rate around that area is statistically around the same as the rest of the 1st round. Its just the hit rate is dubious even at the highest level of the draft. At least its a cheaper contract when you take a guy there.
  6. I loved Coleman as a player but at the end of the day if the guy doesn't want to put in the work and can't at least show up to meetings on time he ain't gonna make it. Doesn't matter how good he is on the field.
  7. Not sure I trust all these sites. Take week 1. Bryce went 0-2 as a passer on 4th down. He went for it a 3rd time and got picked with a horrific throw......and got bailed out and given a 1st down due to contact away from the play on Renfrow. Dude took 2 sacks on 4th down on Sunday. I don't have the energy to go through the play logs.
  8. Of course Bryce should get credit for game-winning drives. Regardless of how we came to need a game-winning drive, most of the time he has been put in that situation he has come through for us.
  9. That's true. I remember people simping hard for some of these guys that I was wary of. Coleman, XL and Worthy being amongst those. Seems like we are on this streak of small, fast Texass WR's that are just better versions of John Ross. Worthy, Golden, etc. Never saw the fascination once you looked past the 40 times and tape of them catching wide open passes in college.
  10. I remember when the Panthers lost 56 straight games when trailing in the 4th. I'll take GWDs however they come about after that streak.
  11. Our record isn’t good with Andy as starter il give you that, but do you think we beat Buffalo with Young starting?
  12. It's a danger zone. That's the point of the draft where a lot of guys with clear 1st round talent but clear deficiencies in their game get drafted. Those types of guys are always gonna have a high bust rate.
  13. It's funny to look at the little bubble of WR's around the 28th to 37th picks in that draft. Looks like a lot of guys that might not pan out and one clear star. Pearsall is hard to judge after his 50 Cent season.
  14. Exactly. They grew together. We will never know but I am 100% confident Bryce wouldn't lead that team to the playoffs his first year. Hell, it took him 3 years to get close to Stroud's best game as a rookie. Bryce's issues were well beyond a lack of support. Dudes footwork sucked and he needed a solid OL.
  15. Going by Statmuse, Geoff isn't higher. In fact, Young is just behind Mahommes, Herbert and Stafford. Take these numbers with a grain of salt though as they really don't look right to me.
  16. There are chances for lots of things. Possible is not the same as plausible. Personally, I don't think it's wise to spend premium draft capital on a rb with a serious injury. It sure is great we told Jerruh Jones to pound sand and snapped up a player we assumed he wanted though. Har har, Jerruh! But that's my take on it. As I have said previously here, I hope he is the next great Longhorns rb in the NFL. Maybe he will be. There's a chance.
  17. Yeah, he basically turned into post-ACL/losing mom version of KB without having those excuse crutches to lean on. KB is definitely one of those "what if" stories. I don't think he was mentally built for the long haul but if that double whammy hadn't derailed him I could've seen him having a David Boston type run where he was dominant for a few years before the weight and conditioning issues caught up with him and the injuries started piling up as Father Time started whooping on him.
  18. Starters only? I would take Young over anyone that is broken down and/or over the hill. So no Rodgers, no Cousins, no Smith, no Flacco. Not that a team can't win or compete but their time is over. I would take Young over some early-in-career qbs that have had little to no success. This would mostly be a zero-sum trade. So, no Fields, no Murray, no McCarthy, no Gabriel, no Penix. I might be forgetting 1 or 2, but that would be the gist.
  19. Slowik was a jumped up dork from PFF who got a shot to play real life madden, did some cool things his first year, then had no idea what to do when defenses adjusted (cautionary tale) tank dell had to be shot behind the stadium like a horse most important the Texans attempts to fix the offensive line have been the exact opposite of Carolina’s. None of their free agents or draft picks have worked out/stayed healthy. Stroud has been murdered and is having to play hero ball. Current offensive coordinator is just the latest piece of fruit to fall from the Rams coaching tree. And with all of that strouds performance buries Bryce’s.
  20. FSU WR's recently......not good. I know we dunk on XL but Coleman may want to be in the NFL even less.
  21. Statmuse is awful. It rarely shows the stat you ask for. We are 24 https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/stat/downs/table/miscellaneous/sort/thirdDownConvPct/dir/desc
  22. Yeah, I never said that he'll be just like new. I said I was surprised at how completely negative the sentiment is on this board and that there's still a good shot he can contribute again. As in a chance.
  23. I didn't realize Keon Coleman was a healthy scratch last night. The Bills basically went out there to play the #1 D in the league with no wide receivers because fug this guy THAT much. LOL This dude is gonna end up bounced out of the league pretty soon seemingly because he can't get to meetings on time. Good grief. That's about the dumbest way to piss away a 7-8 figure a year career possible.
  24. That is weird. Regardless, 24 or 18th place, that's only about 1.4% ( 37% vs 38.4% )difference which is pretty insignificant overall. As far the QB ratings on 4th down, could you either give me the data or point me to were I can find it. Again, I am just going on what statmuse provided on 4th down numbers. Given how much more successful the Panthers have been on 4th downs than the Lions, I am curious to see how Geoff rates higher. Not trying to be argumentative. I am honestly curious.
  25. Nico Collins hadn’t broken 40 receptions or 500 yards in either of his seasons before stroud got there.
