  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t care. He’s got bricks for hands and consistently fugs up drives because of it. So does JT Sanders. So does bi-weekly Legette.
  3. At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability. But there is still a lot of football to play. I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
  4. I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time. I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance. Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins. And that’s IF he even plays. I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return. I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
  5. Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
  6. Exactly, this thread is dumb. Diminishing his effort in the Cowboys game even though he made good passes on the final drive. You can make this thread for every quarterback.
  7. The best part is they compliment each other. Chuba is a more patient runner, patiently waiting for gaps to form while Rico is more explosive. I wish they would use Rico more like McCaffery was used - getting him the ball in space to take advantage of his explosivness and violence. Then have Chuba pound the middle for the tough yards.
  8. I loved those late 90s-early 2000s Miami teams. If McGahee hadn’t had that injury, he would probably have been a Top 10 all-time rusher, no doubt in my mind. The fact he didn’t lose his leg below the knee is still a miracle. And the fact he came back from that, made it in the NFL, and still carved out a career that included over 8k yards rushing and two pro bowls is damn impressive. It just demonstrates how good he would have been had he never had the injury. Prior to that, he was like nothing I had ever seen. Like a bigger, more physical and elusive Reggie Bush.
  9. Boozer may end up going higher in the draft, but agree about Caleb Wilson. Give me that dude, think he's going to translate very well and has the attitude I want on a young team. My perfect world as of now... Trade anything not bolted down as far as vet's go. Sexton is on an expiring and would be an easy flip. Bridges, just get him somewhere else. One year left on a low $20 mil deal should be an easy trade...but the apron for many teams could haunt us. LaMelo is the issue. Likely would have to trade our problem to someone else for their problem (Ja, Zion, Zach Lavine) to make contracts somewhat match up. I want to build around last year's draft class, get as many bites at this draft class as possible, etc. If we get lucky and get #1 or #2, wonderful. If not, get into the top 5 or so and grab Caleb Wilson.
  10. Yeah Willis McGahee and that RB from USC come to mind.
  11. I already knew this, he was scared of job security because of the numbers Rico was putting up. Can't say I blame him but it hurt the team.
  12. Yeah, if Brooks becomes anything more than a guy released before the end of his rookie contract and you never hear from them again, that’s found money. I don’t see him coming back from both injuries. Even in his brief time back before the injury last year, he did not look impressive. He looked slow and had no explosion. Now he’s been out 2 years? I doubt he does anything in the league, but who knows? Again, if he does, that’s would be awesome for us. But if he doesn’t, I’m excited about what we have and/or retain out of Chuba, Rico, and Etienne. Etienne is gonna be NICE.
  13. Goaltending wins championships Yet we continue to only invest in forwards who dissappear in the playoffs We won't win a cup untill we get our own Bob
  14. I’m a packers fan and I agree with you that we aren’t that great. I just hope we beat the Vikings this week.
  15. Shouldn’t we have Rice a Roni for SF vibes
  16. Yeah he has a “springy” quality when he’s at his best. I’m always really impressed how he navigates traffic. Dowdle will always be faster but when a team is really loading the box I wonder if a healthy Hubbard might be more effective.
  17. Yeah, Chuba looked better against ATL. He had some more burst. He looked slow and heavy the weeks prior. And interestingly enough, Rico didn’t look quite as sturdy or explosive against ATL, as he came into it banged up. I hope they both feel better going into the San Fran game, as they’ll have an extra day of prep, and then I hope they both get back to as close to in-season 100% as possible after the bye week. We need them.
  18. Chuba looked a lot faster last week. His burst might be back.
  19. back to the canes after dark on a national game. Get Chatty back tonight!
  20. No winners with the Captain last game going Ehlers. That boy is red hot.
  21. Rico deserved his garlands, the guy flat out played lights out when we had to rely on him. Chuba, we seemed to forget was also a steady, sturdy running back himself, and when he didn't come back and set the world on fire, a lot of folks were basically calling him a bum for it. Let's be honest, though, we've got two excellent running backs and 11 weeks into the season they have had their bumps and bruises. Goes with the game. We've got the latest bye game possible and we're rotating them, so maybe down the stretch when the cold wind blows those two guys can just keep pounding the opposing teams into submission.
  22. Today
  23. Understood, but sometimes that's how things grow. Up through the dirt and the manure to burst into the light. Heck, not sure what I'd do with myself if there was an unexpected playoff appearance.
  24. I’m fine with 150 yards a game if the Panthers are winning. The yardage isn’t important to me so much as the result. Id still like to know what the advanced metrics say about his outing in this game. Were the receivers making magic happen? Would another middling QB have thrown for 400 yards with 20 less attempts? That sort of thing.
  25. Many knew the Panthers would fight in that game because the Packers, in general, have devolved into perpetual underachievers. The Bills game came after their bye where they were struggling in the run game and had a lot of dudes coming back off of suspension and injury. It was a get right game for them. The Packers just aren’t that great.
  26. Glass houses and all. I find the people who are the most adamant about this type of thing tend to have the most to hide. Careful buddy.
  27. Also, wanted to point out, all 3 of the Pivot guys I respect and appreciate tremendously. I know RC only had 1 pro bowl, but I loved his game. He was tough as nails and played with a ton of heart and grit. He was trying to knock people out, but was also super cerebral. Fred is obviously a hall of famer and just as tough. Channing made the most of what he had and was hard-nosed as well. And yet, all three of them let Steve slide on a ton of poo in this interview. They actually cowered in several moments and I don’t like that at all. Because for all the things I mentioned in my initial post in this thread, them not trying to reel him back in or hold his feet to the fire on certain bullshit, and feels gross. Yall were all on the same competitive level as athletes, and yet, yall just let him skate on poo like talking about invoking using a gun on someone, laughing off how he essentially ended two teammates’ careers by BULLYING them and then co-signing it, and letting him completely sidestep accountability about his affair. I get it, because apparently he invited you to his home to do the interview, but either talk some real poo or don’t do the interview at all. This was some real softball poo.
