  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, the stadium sounded loud as poo through the TV. Can't imagine how loud it got actually being there.
  3. Answered my criticism, not question, that it should be included. Yes. That has to be a component of an NFL offense.
  4. Short Deep Dive: The return of and the emergence into an All Pro, Derek Brown changes the dynamics of the Carolina defense.
  5. 3 of Staffords passes accounted for 117 of his yards. So what. Does that make his performance look worse than it was. Or are other qbs just held to a different standard.
  6. He’s gonna get burned going to that well too often. It only works because it goes against the tendencies. Once they give that strategy some due diligence you are looking at 59/50 balls at best.
  7. Bryce Young had 2 throws over 10 yards the entire game. That answered your question?? And the 2 total throws.....basically were playing into the fact Bryce doesn't go downfield, the D had to play short, and were really low % bad playcalls. It's the fine of dumb and great. People have called those plays idiotic all year.
  8. It's ok to say the player you don't like had a good game, but you still don't like him. Especially when he's breaking positive records for your favorite team and helping to win games. Yall funny sometimes. Not funny haha, funny weird.
  9. I mean, that's not true. They were just lofted balls vs man coverage. You are portraying unique to Bryce as unique for a good QB. now, not many QBs are being put into those playcalls. Correct. Dave likes to ask Bryce to throw downfield on short yardage plays where a defense gets in man to play the run/short yardage. We have seen it often this year. I mean, I can go find literally the exact same Coker play on short yardage from earlier in the year. It's basically Dave gambling on the fact Bryce stinks and doesn't go downfield......in the most advantageous scenario that could present itself.
  10. I would hardly call yesterdays defensive performance improved. Take away those turnovers and the Rams probably score 49 points. The defense gave up 246 yards in the first half alone. Their running backs averaged over 6 yards a carry over the game. They could not stop them. I do not know how you can claim it was their stellar perfomance that won the game. Young completes 75% of his passes, converts all 3 of his 4th down attempts and accounted for all 3 offensive TD's and you still claim he was the weak spot yesterday. Your hate knows no bounds.
  11. Lying? What is the above? If what you say is lying, is lying, you are just as guilty. Packers 2023 was basically the 4th quarter. And it was really good but it was basically maybe 1/3 of the game. And you will recall he followed that up with two 0 point efforts to finish the year. What happened in the 1st half of this years Cardinals game? Who won it? Miami, he made three or four good passes after putti g us in a deep hole all by himself, and Rico and the OL crushed it to take control of that game. Dallas this year he had crap numbers but played well for all 4 quarters which sort of stood alone. That isn’t what he usually does. (And it was a very good game by him). Yesterday, was really good. Absolutely. Answered probably my biggest criticism by throwing the ball downfield. That LA defense was asleep. And I am grateful to them. That poo is on film now, Let’s see what adjustments get made because that was too easy. If it was your defense that gave it up you would be screaming how did you let that guy beat you over the top?
  12. I know we have a few film study people in this group.. Last year was infuriating (with no players) this year you can start to 'see it' coming together.. and like Mr Scott said, Evero is likely here to stay. Can someone do a deep dive in the philosophy of this defense and how its supposed to work? .. the deeper the dive the better
  13. Jake has the "please don't fumble" face on while DJ is running with it lol
  14. It was the most fun I’ve had at a game, the atmosphere was electric from beginning to end!
  15. They needed three turnovers because the defense gave up 246 yds in the first half alone with the RBs' averaged 6.1 yds/att. Any team given up those kinds of numbers will need turnovers. They didn't work to keep Young under 20. They ran the ball to keep the Rams offense off the field and it was successful. Any team would have the same game plan given how well it worked. Saying "hope he can hit a throw here and there" is a bit off given he hit 15 of 20 and all of his 4th down attempts. "Run the ball, hope you can force turnover" is a recipe for success with any team in the NFL - not just Bryce Young. And finally, saying "Bryce "haters" will give him credit for the good plays" is a bit disingenous when you follow it with with a trashing diatribe don't you think.
  16. again, Hubbard was great vs the Cardinals last year. Not Bryce. Bryce was treated like a backup QB that entire game. this seasons Cardinals game, he was literally THE reason we lost that game. Horrific play by Bryce. Garbage time 2nd half yards throwing 3 yard downfield to TEs/RBs to bleed clock. There is actual great QB performances.....and there is good for Bryce. Most of the games you listed.....are not great performances by a NFL QB. Or even good. It's the Bryce blur. Miami is another one. We got down thanks to Bryce and Rico ran us back into that game. Almost comical the degree Canales was no longer going to let him throw the ball at one point. Stat sheets lie. Watching the game doesn't.
  17. And most quarterbacks aren’t completing those. Those were perfect passes. It’s a reason why the defense set up that way - not many QBs are attempting that throw.
  18. Going back to this, this is just such a wacky year of football both at the NFL level and college. Duke in the conference championship game? Vandy legitimately in the playoff conversation? I mean... just insanity. In the NFL, you have the 10-2 Broncos winning 9 games in a row and probably should've lost half of them. The Pats with a crazy turnaround weak schedule or not, they've beat most of the good teams on their schedule. That Panthers over .500. The Bears in the lead in the NFC on the back of an insane +17 turnover differential. It's just a really, REALLY weird year of football.
  19. we got folks once again having willful amnesia..... let's talk about something that isn't a wild outcome. This board flying high as a kite......and Bryce going into New Orleans and having his routine bad game vs the Saints.....and we lose. Bryce averages 147 yards vs the Saints in his career and lots turnovers. Suddenly, the front page will have 78 cut Bryce Young immediately threads and a lot of those people will have called picking up his 5th year a no brainer at this point.
  20. The poster said good/great. He had over 220 total yards and 3 touchdowns vs Cardinals. Our offensive line was the biggest cause of the errors vs Cardinals this year. He was good overall. Bryce was good vs Dolphins, great vs Cowboys (you’re allowed to say that two players on offense had great games). He played great against the Rams 147 passer rating. I believe it’s top 3 all time for the franchise.
  21. No, they weren't blown coverages. They were man coverages vs a defense playing 4th and short......and Dave took big gambles and they paid off.
  22. It rarely happens. It never happens for the Panthers. We need to get at least 4 contributors from every draft to turn this team around.
