ICE-idge @PantherGuyWas originally Iceage back in the mid 90s but people kept asking me if I played Magic: the Gathering when they released their Ice Age expansion. Took out the a and the Mtg questions stopped. Got Ice Age from a character I made up based on Burnout from the Gen 13 series by Image Comics back then.

I don't really care but I think a team making a playoff push later in the season with injury issues would give up the same compensation the Vikings are offering now. I also don't see why so many people think the Vikings are ready for a playoff push when JJ Mccarthy hasn't even played an NFL regular season game -

This is where I am at also. Vikings literally have no other receiver outside of Jefferson week 1. I'm pretty sure their slot receiver from last year was pretty awful and they wouldn't mind upgrading with Thielen over nailor. If they aren't going to at least offer us a fourth, then keep them on the team. There will be other teams that have injured receivers that will want him later on in the season -
.a wildly inconsistent & undersized Qb who has had way many more lows than highs in his NFL carrer .& a defense that has more holes than whac-a-mole so yeah i am very curious slash semi excited to see what actually happens?

I did actually. But you get to choose to do or not do it. As does anyone here.

Josina Anderson: Panthers NOT trading Adam Thielen
ProcessBlue2 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The problem is if he leaves, all of the Bryce fanboys will use it as an excuse for any regression or lack of progress that Bryce shows. Despite having an expensive OL and 2 first round picks at WR. I really would like to see the real Bryce this year before the 5th year option next spring. -

As I've said numerous times the last few days, having Thielen on the field has literally 0% to do with my views on this (I've even said I think Renfrow is going to take a ton of snaps from Thielen anyways). He has more value to this team without playing a single snap than a 2026 5th round draft pick does for the franchise. His value is helping set up T-Mac, XL, Coker, and Horn for long term success by helping them learn how to be pros, how to go about their business, how to train, how to do all the little things that helped turn Thielen from a D2 undrafted player into a borderline Vikings legend. -

He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season. I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would. I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both. -

Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from. The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money. Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings. -

Because he won't be here next year, we aren't winning this year and we need to see if Renfrow or Horn can be that guy going forward. If Bryce isn't good enough to do poo without AT we need to find that out this year as well. I'm fine keeping him but his role needs to be slowly reduced throughout the year anyway so we know what we have for the future -

Why don't we just say they can shove the late round draft picks up their ass? If they want a player they will be starting at WR in Week 1, I want a MLB in return that we can start Week 1. Starter for a Starter Not Starter for a draft pick we'll be debating whether or not they should make the final 53 man roster in 2026. -

tukafan21 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why? No. This isn't a situation of a player we want to trade because we have no use for them. He's our starting slot WR, our leader of the young WR room, Bryce's safety option the last 2 years who he has good chemistry with. If the Vikings didn't run into WR trouble, we'd never have been even considering trading him, so why in the world should we give him up for fair market value in a vacuum for Thielen and disregard what losing him off our roster will do for us this year? A 5th round pick in 2026 is a negligible draft pick, especially with this season being so make or break for Bryce and Canales. -

The Vikings acquiring all these late round picks has me feeling like we're about to see another CMC situation play out here. Trade a player we really like for the equivalent of what we want for them on the draft pick chart, but because of a bunch of late round picks instead of the one pick value we actually want. Which will do the same thing in the end, nothing, because 6th and 7th round picks rarely work out to begin with, or we're just going to use them to move up 10 picks in the 3rd or 4th round to take another DJ Johnson -

Not sure where you guys are getting your Information from. Adam wanted to come back to be a Panther, to help Bryce. To help this team. I'm not saying that he'd turn down a reunion with the Vikings, but to assume he's already gone in his mind, is a joke. This team would be a bigger joke to let him go, considering he is Bryce's number 1 target. He has a lot of value to this team. If the Vikings want to give up some major draft capital, to good for Dan to turn down, fine. I'd hate to see this receiving core without him this season. But yeah, let's ship him off. -

he wants to be there and we have a better younger player in Renfrow to take his spot, we 100% are going to make this happen so I'd rather them go ahead and do it vs AT holding up a roster spot tomorrow -

Per Mike Kaye Seemingly a nuanced situation. The #Panthers gave him a raise after he contemplated retirement earlier this offseason. Felt like his entire summer was understated, even after taking a bunch of teammates to MIN before camp. Can’t just give away the leading WR of the past two years, but he’s been a leader and good soldier throughout a couple of brutal seasons and there’s the human element of wanting to finish where he started and basically spent his entire life. Plus, youth movement of four young wideouts added over past two years. Don’t think it’s an easy outlook either way. https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1960173090068984217?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA -
