Repeat after me: The worse it gets, the better it gets.

I've already said this, we've got 3 weeks to get some wins, then it's going to be a long string of L's. After Week 5, the Saints might be only temporarily derailment of the 'L' train the rest of the season.

We really needed wins in the first 2 EZ-mode games.

Except even in 2015, Cam,Greg and Luke commented how loud opposing fans were at home, Charlotte doesn't go all out for Football The transplant Deadskin,Steelers, and Cowboy fans also don't help I guess that's an advantage the Canes have, they don't have to content with pre-canes hockey loyaltys, and is one of the loudest barns in the NHL -
It has merit. The problem might be that Winston is just good enough to get you out of realistic range for getting a prospect.

Oh...its bout to get real active.

If we land #1 overall, sure I'd like to be able to grab a QB, but only if there really is a can't miss guy who should go #1 overall, not someone who should go mid first but they go #1 because those teams need QBs, that's how we got in this mess. Part of me hopes it ends up a down year for QB prospects and we play it smart and get a Bears like haul in return for ours and then sign someone like Jameis for the season and maybe take a flyer on a 2nd or 3rd rounder at QB. Sure 2026 might suck, but landing a few extra 1st rounders and maybe even a quality player could really help expedite turning the franchise around and having a well built out roster before you draft and insert a QB into it to contend on their rookie contract.

#1 pick here we come, can we not pick a midget noodle arm QB this time please?
-
Our offense could at least be top half of the league with a competent QB. Even a average QB. Bryce is the worst of the worst. We probably look better with the guy we cut after playing one preseason game for us. Its sad that PJ Walker would be infinitely more fun to have as our QB right now than this crap we spent the farm on.
-
This could get ugly real quick. I sure hope we can get a win versus Miami. Might be a very lean year otherwise.
-
LOL oh ok. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
-
Did he just fail to attempt it or was he on his ass before the WRs could make it down the field? by the way you used up your only ace boogie response for the year until you establish more coherent thoughts.
-
He finished horribly. Went 0-6 in that final drive where the team needed him most.
-
Damn. Chuba is easily getting 12-15 yards right there. Even with Legette, there’s a play to be made. We’re 2 games in, and already the season is over.

Charlotte isn’t Cleveland and he shouldn’t want that. Where people know their team is a joke and it’s a novelty to attend a game. It’s out of bordem. Being a Browns fan was a topic, not pride. Charlotte comes alive with results. Home games in 2015 and really most seasons with Cam, 2005 Cardinal playoff game where Delhomme shat the bed and melted down was one of the best games I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot, in a lot of cities. - Yesterday

The refs gave use three. Or four…I forget.

What did Parcells say…..he better walk on water? Well, he can’t. And if he can’t….well you need to move on quick. I think we already a clear a year late in that

I mean, the record speaks for itself at this point. He is 6-24 as a starter and his INT% has gone up from 1.9 to 2.3 to 3.3 each year. He is far from completely to blame but 100% of the indicators are that the NFL has largely figured him out.

Luck was a good QB before Reich got there. If you look at his stats, they are pretty much the same as the previous year under Pagano so I wouldn't say his success was because of Reich. In the years following Luck retiring, Reich went through 4 different QB while havine a 30-29 record I believe. For what it's worth, I also like Wilks and felt he earned the opportunity to be the HC. My guess is he was too head strong for Tepper.

Not the biggest fan of PFF grades long but they made an interesting point on their commentary this week Bryce Young is presently per them one the worst “deep passers in the NFL” this year. Which was the comeback narrative of being great at it. But PFF deep is actually intermediate. It’s 10 yards. During his comeback he was able to get off those intermediate passes because of the big shift defenses went running man and blitzing. where Bryce struggles the most to date is just being asked to stand in the pocket and throw into coverage. And really struggles on top of that if folks start disguising stuff. (This part is me….and his small stature and arm struggle facing that) so I would expect people just don’t give him man. Dial back the blitzing and just ask him to play into coverage with his arm.

While I wanted Stroud I was ok with the Young pick. I didn’t judge. Not even his first year. No knee jerk reactions. Allowed time to watch him learn. It’s into year three and it’s time. He sucks. It’s true this franchise sucks too obviously with other players AND coaches doing much better after leaving. Unfortunately it’s a severely dysfunctional franchise and the only thing that will save it is a true generational talent at QB that this inept FO actually lucks into picking or high priced elite vet if that is even possible who would come here over other places or Tepper selling or keeling over. Things that are just unlikely to happen. The Panthers are literally the new age Browns.
-
I knew he wasn't long for the league the first time he went flying through the air like idgaf.
-
Sorry I missed this but depending on how the year plays out, I would say extend him BUT it would have to be on terms aligned with his play.

That zone was so soft that 3 guys were bearly on the screen. No rushing called. Playing off the line 10+ yards. Yeah that's garbage time. It took an onsides kick to make them try to play D again. Until then they didn't care and still wouldn't play real D against Young until they absolutely had to and that was with backups in the backfield. Slow start is freaking hilarious. He was gifted the lowest effort a bad team can give and still couldn't put anything together for 1 freaking series at the end after 2 quarters of warmup ball. It was like watching someone stretching for an hour and then pull a hammy after 10 feet of running.

On the subject of Reich and him being no good as a coach, because he wouldn’t change everything he did to accommodate Young. He wanted to sit Young. He knew what Young was. But to the point, was Andrew Luck a good QB under Reich in Indy? Most people don’t hesitate to say yes. Well, Luck thought enough of his coaching to bring him to Stanford. There is a bona fide NFL QB that seems to dispute the painting of Reich as a incompetent and the reason for Young’s shortcomings. Yes he got fired. It appears as if Tepper and Fitterer forced a QB he did not want on him and poisoned the well right from the start. I don’t blame Reich one bit for being pissed either. And I wasn’t a Reich guy I wanted Wilks. I accepted the Reich hire but never lobbied for him. Just saying he is being dogged here unfairly.
