Standing 6-foot-6, he’s got the size to play on the wing and offers some versatility, which could be just what the Hornets are looking for as they try to fill out their roster. The Hornets’ Summer League squad already has plenty of fresh faces with this year’s draft picks and young guys fighting for a role. But Rodman’s last name alone is enough to turn heads, and now he’ll get his shot to prove he belongs once the games tip off in Vegas. Charlotte’s Summer League team is already drawing interest with recent draft picks and young players hoping to crack the rotation. But Rodman’s last name — and his potential to bring energy and toughness — adds another layer of intrigue. What Rodman lacks in college stats, he makes up for with hustle and competitiveness — traits his dad was known for throughout his Hall of Fame career. If he can bring that same energy and show growth in Summer League, he could carve out a role and surprise some people. Question to the posters on this thread because you are knowledgeable--I love watching and pull for the Canes, but I never played so I don't have the understanding I had when I played football then watched it. Having said that, Do you think we are weak at Center? I see the team to be pretty strong on the wings, promising defense, and weak at Goalie. It would be ideal if the Canes had 1 more position to upgrade, not 2. I don't think you can count on Anderson to play a full season and he is 35. However, are we solid at Center in your view?

There is one play that sold me-- it was around 2:38, I think. It was 4th and 1 and the QB telegraphed and threw the ball out wide to TMac. He had no blocking (the TE was very late) and four defenders collapsed on TMac behind the LOS. They seemed to know it was coming. He got hit behind the LOS and battled through several hits to get three yards. THAT play showed me his fire.

Moton would have been a good pick and so would Travelle Wharton--it all depends on who else was selected that pick. Hangartner was a good one that I never considered. Montgomery is a great pick

They are practicing. Putting in their contracts that they can’t practice outside of what the CBA allows the team to do would be an excellent way to stay the worst team in the league forever.

Point stands though. Tough to sell another team on the idea of KK through 29-30 season. And then ask for them to give you something for the privilege? I think if he can be moved, he will be. Seems like Rod is done with him.

Yep if Rantanen hadn't taken so long to make a deal with Dallas, Boeser would have been a Cane at the deadline. Just ran out of time making the final details work out.

I meant when we acquired him he was a full on bust for Montreal, heck considering he was a #3 pick he is a bust. I wont argue he would be a serviceable low end #3 center but lets be real a guy drafted #3 should be much better.

They almost traded him and the Dallas first at the trade deadline for Boeser.

If he’s fine as a 3rd line guy he would be easy to trade. Nobody wants him lol.

I wouldn't even say KK has been a bust, he was signed to be the 3rd center to replace Staal with potential to be the 2nd center. Staal didn't retire so it forced KK to the 2nd line where he shouldn't be. He's fine as a 3rd line guy.
