  1. Past hour
  2. You think Maryland is a more prestigious football program than UNC? You’re my guy, kfd, but that’s a wild take. I actually think the ACC has never gotten the love it deserves for football. There is a lot of tradition and prestige to a lot of the teams in the conference.
  3. Exactly what I mentioned earlier, same with SC. They follow the money, they will be a laughing stock. Would not be a good move for any ACC school. Which reportedly Clemson is out, each school has to be approved by the SEC board and in a test vote Clemson and FSU was a no go
  4. I think he dreams of being begged back to the NFL but it's a false dream. Could it happen? Yes. Is it likely? Definitely not. I don't anticipate him becoming suddenly self reflective or less stubborn although this college experiment is likely to end in a comically massive failure. The real question is how bad will it be for UNC when they have to buy out his son's HC contract?
  5. Most of the ACC would fare similarly. Maryland is a far more accomplished football program historically and they have yet to ever finish above .500 in conference play since leaving the ACC.
  6. Today
  7. As I mentioned earlier, Carolina to the SEC would be an absolute disaster for them. Vandy would love it though, there would be a new whipping boy.
  8. Two things I completely nailed in week one: - Arch Manning hype was utterly absurd - Bill Belichick hype was utterly absurd Manning literally couldn't beat out a 5th round draft pick and in one case the current Oregon St. starting QB. Somehow we are supposed to believe that a kid that is being billed as literally one of the greatest QB's in college football history to the extent that they ranked his team #1 yet somehow sat for two years behind an oft injured Quinn Ewers? Never won that job from Ewers last season, either. Three years of college football and this kid still looks like a college freshman. Bill Belichick couldn't get employed in the NFL because the game had obviously passed him by and he has no ability to handle anything less than complete control. What could possibly go wrong when a stubborn, inflexible 73 year old on his first CAREER CFB job gets paired with a historically bottom half/third college football program in a P5 conference??? Well, welcome to college football, Bill's GF. Turns out massive roster turnover and just simply telling everyone you are the "33rd NFL team" doesn't erase the advantages that dozens and dozens of football programs have over you because that's the way college football has always been.
  9. No lie… to this day, and forever, I’m always still gonna love me some Ted Ginn. I tell people all the time who aren’t Panther fans so they don’t know - Ted legit was our best receiver during Cam’s tenure here.
  10. That game made me resign from my position as HC of UNC in my solo football dynasty on NCAA26.
  11. Nah, what he did in Cleveland was damn impressive. ain’t no way in hell we (it’s my alma mater) should’ve looked like this tonight. That was piss poor coaching and piss poor playing. Like they said, for both teams, this was a similar setting to when TCU played Colorado when Deion was hired. TCU coming in to play a game against a super famous football celebrity figure with a completely overhauled roster - difference is, Colorado played up to the moment. We just folded like a cheap lawn chair. I was joking during the game with friends, like they really watched a whole summer of Gio and Max and decided Gio was the starter? Hell, I bet Bryce Baker as a freshman is better than Gio. We hyped that signing of Gio like we just won the fuging lottery, and he is complete ass. We spent two quarters desperately not trying to throw the football - I don’t know if it’s because he can’t or what? But there was no excuse for that. It felt so much like the Rhule years here. I haven’t seen such a dysfunctional offense since or before. And then the damn defense…. I asked my friend if they just brought all 70 new guys in from a lab that does arm and leg transplants because did these guys just receive their limbs and are figuring out how to use them??? Because I have never seen a whole team look so inept. Diving early at feet and missing them entirely, getting trucked, flailing and falling everywhere, peewee league arm tackles, always looking a step slow… no lie, whatever the worse I could’ve imagined that debut going, take that and make it 10 times worse and I never would’ve even seen THAT happening. Absolutely no excuse for it. None. All the brand power and image brought with the Belichick hire, and that’s the best he could do in his debut. They brought MJ, LT, and Roy out for THAT??? Man, I spent 7 years of my life living there and i NEVER saw or heard of LT coming out there during that time. They actually got him coming around to watch THAT. Bill should be fuging embarrassed. The fuging commentary booth brought a dog in and put a headset on him as Rece Davis said, “the wheels are off, ladies and gentlemen.” As I said elsewhere - not under Mack 1.0, not under Torbush, not under Butch, not under Fedora, and not under Mack 2.0, did we EVER look like THAT. Never. You bring in a guy that is considered one of the greatest football minds in coaching EVER, and we get shellacked and don’t even look competitive??? Boy I know the boosters are shitting fuging fireballs right now.
  12. I have some passwords from family and friends. But, mostly, I just sail the seven seas...
  13. Bryce Young still hasn’t shown he can open a season on the right foot. While he’s proven he can close strong, my expectations for these early weeks remain low until he demonstrates otherwise. He does get a relatively soft matchup against the Jaguars, so hopefully he shows signs of putting the early-season struggles behind him, but I’m not overly optimistic just yet. Doesn't help he barely had any preseason reps. We'll see.
  14. When you have an unlimited budget as you said it shouldn't. When you pay Gio Lopez 2 million dollars, have an entire spring program and think he can play QB then yes I do suppose it will take a long time. Enjoy coked up Steve bellicheat next year as head coach
  15. It was fitting as much as this game was overhyped. Bilicheck has never won anything without Brady.
  16. I said before the game that I hoped UNC wouldn’t get embarrassed. They did
  17. Lololololololololol Good luck with that
  18. It is the first year. It takes time
  19. Sure made good use of them this year. Lol
  20. No one will believe it but UNC has nearly unlimited funds to be great in football. Will take time. With Hubert as coach it’s time to focus on football
  21. Every meme, every joke coming our way - we deserve every single one of them and I'm here for it. LOL
