If Thielen’s mentorship leads to XL being a reliable pass catcher, it will be worth every penny of his contract. Ask yourself this, who else is going to help him? It’s a crowded room and every WR is fighting for play time. They don’t play this game for funsies. There is serious $ on the line for these dudes. They can’t afford to be buried on the roster come contract #2 time. This is their shot. I’m not saying the intentions are nefarious, but there is contract money riding on play time for these dudes. Coker has #2 square is his sights. better believe that. Why would he help XL? Would you? Moore? Nah. JAG. Horn knows he’s a fringe WR. He used to hustle neighborhood kids in to racing growing up. I don’t see him being the helping kind. Hunter? He’ going to be too busy battling Coker for the #3 spot. There is literally no better person for the mentor role for XL than Thielen.

but...isn't that sort of highlighting WHY we are moaning about AT? Right now our primary weapon (based on offensive reps, targets, etc) is an old slow WR who we overpay that doesn't really get open and get do anything with the ball in his hands. and we are at the bottom in spending in terms of pass catchers. Maybe the front office shouldn't of arranged the roster so that it is only .....AT and cast of unproven hopefuls youngsters. I mean, the AT complaint is really not about AT. It's about the front office.

I'm encouraged and confident the Panthers won't be the worst team in the NFL next year.

North Carolina is about to make it illegal to camp in left lane and create bottlenecks. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/state/north-carolina/article310796985.html

Huh? The ocean is not even remotely close to 50% sewage. It’s clean.

Scourton isn't signed (& apparently it's a thing)

You're still hamstringing the cap at the end of the day. -

Yea its iffy. It would be difficult to implement without moving to a soft cap/luxury tax model like NBA and MLB. NHL pulled off guaranteed contracts with a hard cap, but I don't think that's realistic outside the NHL. I don't think a luxury tax model would be good for the product, even if its good for the players. Even though we would probably benefit from it because Tepper would be like the dude who owns the NY Mets now. -

This is where I feel like Tepper can throw his big wallet around to solve a problem. Scourton was the 19th pick of the round, even if a few more teams give fully guarantees, I can't see them all getting it. So don't give him the fully guaranteed deal, but give him a bigger signing bonus than his slot normally would get. It might piss off other owners for setting a new precedent of giving bigger signing bonuses, but it would help stop the fully guarantee precedent the agents are trying to make. -
I'd rather see what Scourton and Princely can be that bring on cheap contracts than bring in another rookie edge rusher who would need 1st round money.

Where we tank in cap spending for the 2025 season by offensive skill position group: QB - 25th RB - 16th WR - 21st TE - 27th Folks, there's PLENTY to bitch about with the Carolina Panthers but bitching about overpaying a veteran backup QB and a veteran WR when the entire rest of the roster in those positions groups are on rookie contracts... I mean... LOL

3rd and Chandler Zavala.......... Id toss in Yohsi or Brano/DJ Johnson if that's what it took to get the trade done. Bungals need OL B-A-D Its un-godly to treat a unique HOF level level like Burrow with the OL they have and seems going to this year. People forgot during that bungal SB year, Burrow was sacked like 62 times and I believe had the highest hurries as well. They should be in jail for this, no memeing....

I will admit this- Kon doesn't look or play like a 19 year. Much bigger and filled out than I thought he was. Plus initiate the offense during his best quarter and he did make some good passes for FG attempts. I watch NBA years ago and was a top 3 fantasy yahoo managers for years. Many times a player had like 30 points, it mostly came from one or 2 hot quarters. The others were 5 and 0, so his 16 point game is normal in that regard. If Ball, bridges, and Miller allow Kon to be apart of the team, just depends on if he clicks of not. Another generic white guy comp popped in my head........he of hornet lore-Gordon Hayward 15 points 5 rebs 3.5 asst Maybe??

Especially with no other major sports in the area other than UNCW basketball and soccer. It's a good 2 1/2 hour drive just to catch a collegiate football game. If this new arena were built I would hope it also includes an Adult League - I would join up and time allowing would be more than happy to help coach some youth teams.

That was real fear in his eyes when the rope was being taken. My younger days, I had my best friend that happened to be black come over all the time. I had the nicest bulldog on the planet, my friend Damon was scared to death of him. His grandmother and daddy taught him to fear all dawgs and seen the same fear in his face and voice. I think alllll young kids should take swimming lessons and not fear the water. Very thankful my parents did this, I no longer get in the ocean since its 50% sewage. But I enjoyed all the lakes, pools, and oceans I swam in.
