The idiotic huge investment into Belichick and the commitments he contractually forced to be spent on the football program is a big problem right now. If he was delivering promise on the field it would pay off but Belichick isn't holding up his end of the bargain in that regard. I have heard from a big Rams Club booster (a whole row of third row tickets at the Deam Dome) that Hubert is gone. With the Belichick disaster and basketball floundering the money is gon a dry up if they don't do something big and it's cheaper to do it with Hubert right now than Belichick, plus most of the donors are still just way more into basketball based on the history of Carolina athletics.

Sadly, Florida is a better program. Their NIL budget is 5x what Carolina's is and that is what makes a "program" these days. Gone are the 90's where every kid and rapper wants a Carolina Starter Jacket and Teams hat. This program is not even in the top 20 of jobs or merchandise for anyone under the age of 30. Which last I checked, is every single recruit. I've said it over and over again, even before we hired Hubert. Make Mark Few the richest college basketball coach in history by a mile, and MAYBE this gets fixed. Otherwise, we will hire someone like High Point's coach or some Tarheel re-tread that Roy approves of and continue this same nonsense.
