  1. Past hour
  2. I don't think it's so much fantasy anymore but all the prop betting. Same basic thing just more money
  3. Not all the video are showing up but I stand corrected.
  4. Brees and Murry can throw Hail Marys, Young cant. Brees could sneak too not Young.
  5. If we get rid of BY, we still have the same ownership and front office.
  6. I thought about that the other day and came to the conclusion that Reich could have done that partly to poke Tepper. Lol I can hear him cussing now. Frank’s like, yes please, fire me.
  7. He outperformed Mayfield, Darnold and Jones statistically when compariing their second year of play. Did you watch any of the games after he came off the bench last season?
  8. Does it matter if he goes somewhere else and is good? He his not getting it done here and really thats what I care about. I dont care about Darnold or CMC or Burns or Baker Make this team better or GTFO
  9. The problem when you draft a guy like Bryce the way you draft him with the trade up and assets spent is you cant afford for him to sit 2-3 years and develop. He has to be that guy now. We gave up too much for him to be what he is right now, and while that may not be fair, it is what it is. If we had stayed at 9 and drafted him there and he is this level of QB, we're out a 1st and while it stings, it's not crippling. But that's not what we did and it was crippling, not to mention, he wasn't even the QB our HC wanted. He didn't even fit Reich's system which hurt him even further. But now its year 3 and QB contracts are obscene. We're at the point we have to decide if he's worth what he's going to be asking. Based on performance, are you paying a 5 year, 200 million contract with 140 guaranteed? I sure as hell hope not. Bryce needs to be able to elevate the guys around him and he's not doing that. His physical limitations are clear, his field vision is spotty, his decision making is questionable and his ability to hold under pressure. Well, we saw that Sunday. Maybe he's good somewhere else, but where we find ourselves right now, staring down the barrel of year 3 with a 5th year option or contract extension on the horizon, we don't have the luxury to wait another season and hope. If he doesn't get it together in a big damn hurry he needs to be out the door.
  10. You think Bryce would have kept us in the range once they gifted us that roughing the passer penalty?
  11. I just highlighted previous Panthers QB's that the board has trashed. The others were added as they had similar fates.
  12. Fantasy football is driving all of that. Nobody cares if they win the game as long as the get you fantasy points. Every player is judged by how many fantasy points they are worth so it's all about stats.
  13. Since you are so enamored with their physical tools, let's look at thier performance in their second year. Jones, 62% comp, 11 TD, 10 Int, (1.1 td to int ratio) 0 game winning drives, 80.4 rating Darnold 62% comp, 19 TD, 13 Int, (1.46 td to int ratio) 3 gwd and an 84.3 rating Mayfield 59.4% comp, 22 td, 21 int, (1.0 td to int ratio) 1 gwd and a 78.8 rating Young (all year) 61% comp, 15 td, 9 int, ( 1.6 td to int ratio), 4 gwd and a 82.2 rating Young (after benching) 62% comp, 15 td, 6 int, ( 2.5 td to int ratio) 4 gwd and an 84 rating I don't see how he this that much worse regardless of his physical traits.
  14. I think you have to go for 2 there. We score a TD late in the 3rd - there was no way I would trust this offense to score 3 more times in the game. Let's face it, if we didn't have a miraculous onside kick recovery, we never would have had that last chance. Bryce (and to a lesser extend Canales) blew the once in a million chance we will give him recovering an onside kick
  15. Just trying to provide clarity and perspective when I can.
  16. Going for 2 wasn't the problem. The god awful playcalls were the problem (especially the 1st one). We go jumbo set after the penalty on AZ then run a slow developing outside run when you know AZ is going to bring a run blitz. The most surprising thing about that play was that we didn't lose more yards...
  17. Oh for sure. I just wanted to preempt it. we disagree about nothing these days.
  18. you are talking about all these other Qbs being somewhat successful & ignoring all the many more others who failed so it's not facts.facts will tell you the whole story good & bad. instead you are cherry picking in an attempt to prove a theory .in theory you believe as a result of these othe hand picked Qbs you aforementioned carrers that will somehow correlate to Bryce Young success as a NFL Qb in the future ?
  19. He has had 1 full season and 2 games and I have seen zilcho improvement in his in-game adjustments, handling of the play clock, and having players prepared for games. Like I am talking basic poo that pee wee football coaches know... Bryce is already bad enough - Canales is making Bryce look even worse, which is quite the accomplishment...
  20. You just have to be able to separate Smitty the player and Smitty the person. It's always been that way, but now he's not catching TDs on Sunday to even it out.
  21. That is definitely not necessarily true. There were ample instances throughout NFL history of young QB's playing early. You might be thinking of college football where that was definitely not a thing. I would push back on the "learning" part. It isn't as if there are gobs of reclaimation projects littering the NFL. Most of those guys either end up as career backups or flame out quickly. IMO, it's more that they were not NFL players in the first place. That has literally been a thing as long as the NFL/NFL Draft existed.
