Where did Jarvis go? Jarvis, it’s time.

Main roads are decent though. 8" 9n the driveway ain't gonna hold me back. I lived 14 years averaging 100".
-
I'm in the same boat except for the sleet. I could fire up the tractor and hook up the box blade to clear the driveway, except I know the state road isn't plowed or salted either, so it makes no sense to really do anything at this point except wait for warmer weather which it looks like wont happen till Tuesday at the earliest. Probably be mid week or later before I'm able to go anywhere.

With the Icky injury and Moton needing an heir apparent

If it's there, yes, but don't force it. I'm liking Lomu out of Utah, but his stock keeps rising and I fear he's going to climb up boards beyond #19. -
Yes, for one season only. If the Browns can assemble a roster with Watson's ball and chain salary, Bryce's 1-year on the option is chump change. The cap is set to go up nearly $20M this season. The option gives him a pay raise of about $15M or about 4% more in cap usage, again, for one season. I get it, most of us would rather have Uncle Rico QB-ing this team over Bryce. Being emotionally reckless to spite Bryce is not in our best interest. Unless Tepper steps in and mandates an extension for Bryce, it's HIGHLY probable that this coming season is his last as our starting QB. I just don't want to become the new version of the Steelers that ship off/cut their QBs without a backup plan in place.

Got about 8in in Wilmington. I love it because my kids are wiped out from playing in the snow this morning and I might get a free afternoon haha
-
Wound up with between 10-11 inches at my place in Brunswick County.

how'd you know?

In NYC the snow from last week is still piled up on the curbs 2-3 feet high, It's not getting above freezing until mid Feb and what does melt will freeze at night lol. When all that accumulation finally melts for real it's another nightmare altogether with flooding and people's roofs leaking.

It's even more important as the PK is now just average (11th in the league). Hopefully, the kill improves now the blue line is getting healthy. But the PP, aside from the occasional flashes of brilliance, has been trash all season. It's very predictable. Every PP looks the same. And we all know what the definition of crazy is....

I think with the proper scouting we could upgrade from Bryce pretty easily, you dont always have to draft high to get a good QB. Picking up his 5th year is just throwing away part of our salary cap for production we could get out of basically any cheap QB. When you insist on starting one of the leagues worst QBs and have only a walking corpse as his backup 5 wins is always possible. -
For the sake of this team's greater outlook beyond next season, I hope you are right. I see the defense taking another step forward and STs are solid. Maybe a shaky OL, but cobbled together units don't always suck. This roster is getting better...slowly, so I think 5 wins is pretty unrealistic. The 7 win mark is more likely and with a couple lucky breaks could eclipse that by a game or two.

I highly doubt we surpass this years win total next season. I think this season was the high point of the DC/BY combo. OL is already looking shaky, I expect our D to maybe be a tad better and our O to be a little worse. I would say 5-7 wins. -

And the rest of the team? Yes, QB play is important, but it isn't everything. I doubt we will have a top 10 pick to get a sure-fire franchise QB. Think big picture. While the '27 QB class is supposed to be deep, I'm not sure that if we sneak into the playoffs again with like a 9-8 record that even a deep QB class will have a guy around pick 20.
-
At the end of the day we gotta score on the freakin power play in the playoffs. A lot of our problems are because we just can't do anything with the man advantage. It doesn't matter if you stop 85-90% of power plays if your power play percentage is 0

He will do the same as he has the past 3 years, bottom third of the league QB play. -
He'll do well enough to keep us in the back half of the draft in round 1 for '27 and that's my biggest fear.

Very intrigued how Morgan and Canales handle the offseason

The Bears are loaded at WR. Why would they want to trade a good #2 TE for XL? It wouldn't make any sense. A good #2 WR is better for their roster than a guy fighting to hang onto the last WR spot on the depth chart. -

Starting this motherfuger for the 4th year in a row and expecting anything different is stupid as fug, but hey its what Tepper decided he wanted. No way real football people are still trotting him out there willingly. -
Do you agree the team is all in on Bryce this coming season? I'm not talking about token competition, unless you think the front office will bring in a serious competitor that could unseat Bryce. That's not happening. Working under that assumption that Bryce is going to be the unquestioned starter next fall, that leaves him working essentially on a one-year deal for '27 unless we are stupid enough to give him an extension. We can look for a new QB in FA and/or the draft without having reach, settle, make a rash decision. If all else fails, we still have Bryce to QB us that season. If we find his replacement, GREAT! He can be a backup, traded or cut. Even as a Bryce doubter, I would rather have him as the backup plan than not have the 5th year option and have no starting QB going into '27 if the FA QB market sucks or we somehow we can't draft our new franchise QB.

Honestly its a product of our draft profiles, for years the canes have nabbed a ton of higher "skill" guys the mid rounds who fell because of limited size.... Nadeu,Blake acquired guys like Stank and Elhers ext. And let guys like Geekie,Foegal,Noeson, Lorenz walk or were traded away.... We have drafted a lot of boom or bust big D men recently.... but who knows. I feel like rod doesn't value size much in the forward group and it leads to us getting bullied in physical games.
