  1. Past hour
  2. McDermott will get exactly what he wants or he will just sit out a year.
  3. An organization who was trash for 20 years fires there coach of the last 9 years with a 106-58 record over losing a divisional round playoff game (per the owner) in a down coaching cycle and promotes a GM whom 80% of the fan base can’t stand. No, sounds horrible.
  4. I saw on a video where Allen is the only player to account for 50 TDs in a season, including playoffs, to Not go to a SB. (that year) And he has done that twice.
  5. I don’t see McDermott having to settle for the Titans. Maybe I am wrong about them and it isn’t the ‘settle’ I think it is. The owner hasn’t shown me much. But they are supposedly building a new stadium and the money will flow to get that filled up, they are going to try and win. So there is that. They have some talent and a high draft slot and the number 1 pick from 2025. I want to see what they do with Levis. If he just cuts down the wtf bonehead decisions by half, he is a maybe. All the physical tools. Should be cheap.
  6. Million dollar arm, 10 cent brain.
  7. Bad timing on this for him and the Panthers. But you could do a whole lot worse than McDermott that’s for sure.
  8. Using a different metric (WAR), here's from Sports Illustrated: "WAR is a difficult stat to analyze, but it essentially means how many wins a player added to their team. So without McMillan, the Panthers lose half a game more, and likely do not make the playoffs. It's most known in baseball, but with there being almost 10 times the games in the MLB, the numbers make a lot more sense. Essentially, if McMillan were in the MLB, that WAR would've translated to 4.8 WAR, which makes him equivalent to George Springer and Mookie Betts, two very good baseball players." https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/onsi/news/how-carolina-panthers-rookie-performed-2025
  9. Pretty spot on. The only thing that I may add is that I think Scourton is our future. I think next season with Wonnum gone he makes the leap and gets 9-10 sacks.
  10. Many moons ago I was upset we let Beane go after grooming him for years to take over for Hurney. So glad he’s not our problem now. Last thing we need is an owner like Tepper with a chicken poo gut GM like Beane who, both, love making excuses.
  11. Im fine extending him. I just hope hes fine with getting a lower tiered contract so if someone outplays him you have a good priced backup.
  12. No doubt. The position coaches influence stuff big time. OC and DC can pass down instructions but those guys implement. They are the every day ‘hands on’ guys. Some positions definitely get a gold star, but we need to fix this poor tackling problem. If I am Evero I am putting pressure on my staff to correct that poo.
  13. Today
  14. I agree. I think the Raiders want more draft capital and are looking to move down. I think Mendoza is doomed to be a Jet or a Brown (with the Cardinals as a sleeper, depending on what they decide to do with Kyler Murray).
  15. Perhaps, but you still can't discount what Beane has done. I'm sure Allen had a voice as well re: McDermott.
  16. This is pretty much 100% my thoughts as well.
  17. Jesus this would be amazing for us, lol. If he turns out to be phenomenal it has little outcome on us, and if not, oh well.
  18. Baltimore and Buffalo may or may not get a better HC but both of those QBs are likely to drag their franchises to the playoffs every year, lol
  19. Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
  20. Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
  21. Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc. I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter. Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer. UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
  22. Hoping someone tells us Bussi was in the starter's crease for the morning skate. Otherwise, place your 1st shot- 1st goal bets! Any closer to a deal that could land a 2C in Trocheck or Brayden Schenn? Or land a winger in Alex Tuch or reach for Jordan Kyrou?
  23. Yep, they were doing basically what Eagles did. Go by all the players pff/analytics grades and then using Eric Eager's analytics to figure out the odds of which of those players would most likely be gone or available the next round. I remember in that behind the scenes draft things they would ask Eager what the odds a pass rusher they liked would be there the next round and he said like 80% they would be gone or something like that, and he constantly provided them information like that during the draft.
