Let’s be honest here. Take out the last seven years which have obviously been horrible. The panthers were roughly a .500 team, and that’s only because of a 2-3 year stretch right around both Super Bowl runs. We essentially caught lightning in a bottle twice, and went back to the dumps both times. No one has ever considered us a perennial threat. Sure, Tepper is god awful, but we’d still be bitching with 10-7, 9-8, 8-9, 7-10 because it all means the same thing - no championship and no consistency. Even in the “good” years, anyone who had been a fan for any real amount of time knew we would regress to the mean at best. 3-14 or 9-8? I don’t give a poo. Neither one wins a championship, and there’s never been a reason to believe we would be a contender year in and year out.

I do wish Canales had a John Fox streak in him. he would get a wild hair, and it would be we are gonna run it every play until they stop it.

People here seem to forget that Canales was hired because he’s a “QB whisperer” and was supposed to fix Bryce. Benching him says Dave can’t do what he was hired to do and Tepper was wrong in hiring him. Bryce won’t be getting benched any time soon.

Front office went out of their way three offseasons in a row to assure there would be no one for Bryce Young to look over his shoulder in the QB room. Just a best friend and a UDFA that isn't even practice squad worthy. And said best friend is pushing 40 and has been responsible for the most impressive passing games since 2023 and each game was with a different head coach and the same supporting cast. Yet for some reason some of these folks that want to carry water cannot understand why so very few share their POV

Dalton is good for one or two games. He is a good change of pace but way worse for the entire season. We saw that last year

Everyone knows the Panthers need a long-term answer at qb. But you don't bench him for this game and certainly not for Andy after bouncing back from that 1st quarter. The team can continue to look for a qb for the future.

Dalton might be washed but he functions as a QB is supposed to in these offenses to work…..that’s why every year when he appears he sets the passing highs on the year. and you can’t have a well run org where you have a unique Bryce exception for performance at this point

I actually liked how blunt he was when calling out Bryce and the offensive play calling. People need to hear that Bryce is subpar on TV or they’ll keep blaming everyone and everything else.

An incredible adjustment? Any DC with a couple brain cells to rub together could make that call.
