Panthers draft outlook featuring Joe Person
NCBlu replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Open to WR but TE hard NO they have big bodies already but need a 5'11 - 6'0 speed guy that can run the route tree well (USC, IU) -
I know, but saying that the Bills are doing this to troll us is ridiculous.
-
the refs have been point shaving so bad in recent years. We need the replacements. Puka Nakua said everything about them you need to know.
- Today
-
Yes, more recently. The way duke fans act you'd think they'd won five of the last ten or something crazy when they've actually won zero if the last ten. They haven't even even played in a championship ship game in the last decade. Carolina has played in three. For all the elite NBA talent that has come through Durham, duke is in a woeful championship drought. Duke fans used to talk all kinds of poo about how Carolina failed to win titles with Stackhouse/Wallace and Carter/Jamison and honestly they had a point. We should've gotten a title or two out of those teams. But man, duke's current run of elite talent with no titles puts that to shame.

LOL, what? No one has said anything close to that.

raleigh-panther started following A Zietlow (observer) 3 centers to consider for draft
-
In response to mailbag questions about drafting a center from Observer, Zietlow gives this infO From Alex The Panthers, after all, aren’t going to be as stacked with interior offensive linemen who can be converted into centers as they were last year. Cade Mays is already gone to Detroit. Austin Corbett moved on to Buffalo. Brady Christensen might still come back, but his future is murky too … and he ruptured his Achilles five months ago. Keylan Rutledge. The guard out of Georgia Tech has received high marks in the pre-draft process, and if he drops to the Panthers at No. 51 somehow, they should take him. He worked at guard and center during the 2026 Senior Bowl. Jake Slaughter. The 6-foot-5, 303-pound center out of Florida really impressed at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, notably with a 5.1-second 40-yard dash time. He’s a center by trade, and coach Dave Canales likes athletic centers who can get to the second level of the defense. Slaughter is projected to be a third- or fourth-round pick. Billy Schrauth. Another draft, another Notre Dame draft pick?At least, it’s possible with Schrauth, the 6-foot-5, 310-pound interior offensive lineman and team captain. He spent most of his college career at guard, but reports indicate a transition to center would be easy for him. He’s projected to be a Day 3 pick.

Offseason yo Need something to talk about
-
They have to win the next 3 games. If they don't get to 7/8 I don't think they will win 2 in a row to make the playoffs. Especially that 2nd game on the road against Miami or Philly

We have 5 guys that can attack the paint, they need to do that more when they are ahead in games and the 3 isn't falling instead of doubling down. When they are behind I don't really have a problem with them trying to shoot their way back in it

Drafting Sadiq would be the most Panthers move ever. Trading up for him? LMFAO. -
Yeah we need more balance. If threes aren't dropping, you can pretty much mark it down as a loss. That won't work in the playoffs. I think the team will continue to grow and learn and if they can get a better presence in the paint, it would make a world of a difference
-
By 2 years shut up with that lame talk
-
Let me guess, Duke isn't a blue blood right? Another choke job in the tourney is definitely frustrating. They lost 3 games this year and choked every single one of them away. They choked at least 3 games away last year too. I'm not trying to be a tool but definitely think not being challenged enough in the ACC is a problem. No excuse for not knowing what to do when a team doesn't just lay down though.
-
Much different time. College basketball plays many more games than. They did in Smith's ERA.
-
Jesus, people. This happens everywhere. Remember when Ron was filling holes with Bolts rejects? When you need JAG/depth pieces, most organizations go with ones they know are good locker room guys.
-
And ironically one of the league's best young players statistically in the paint we traded away for crumbs a few years ago. POVERTY!
-
Nothing. Makes me happier than watch Duke miss the final four.
-
Realistically as much fun as it has been to see this team bombard teams from 3 it just isn't sustainable for us as a winning formula aside from catching better teams off guard from time to time and it isn't going to translate to a playoff run and certainly not a championship when we are so ineffective in the paint and have no go to answer in that area when games are on the line. The strategy of this franchise entering the offseason should be getting better in the paint. Drill that into everyone's head inside the building. All this rabble about not disrupting chemistry is weak minded. What chemistry? This team is 10th in the standings heading into April. In a historically weakened Eastern conference.

Maybe the Sadiq interest is real, maybe he's this years Jalon Walker. -
Team is young and learning. Twenty wins more this year versus last year. You complain way too much
-
I still say the Hornets should weigh all their options at head coach after the season. Too much potential on this roster.
-
If it’s Lloyd, I wonder if Veesar stays or if there is any animosity there from either side about his transfer from Arizona. Veesar plus Krievas if Lloyd could bring him would be unreal.
-
Good. Get the replacements in, fug the union. Then you can hold your refs accountable. If things improve, I might start watching other non-panther games again for the first time in a decade.
-
Same sh!t, different year.
