Kon Knueppel was always going to take some lumps sooner or later. I expect a bounce back game from him. He knows he let the team down.

Dan like Dave listens to the boss of all bosses. And that boss is seemingly ready to go down with the ship if it comes down to it because his ego is that big. It's best for everyone to begin acclimating to that reality.

Any post season win is a reason to celebrate.

I’m not worried about Kon. It’s crazy he’s played all but 1 game plus summer league. Bro has never gone this hard this long against this kind of competition. Buddy should be exhausted.

Vrabel and Russini? Athletic investigating.

I think it’s more the lying and conflict of interest. Is it bad to cheat on your spouse? Yes. But I doubt people would care that much or that she would get fired if it was with somebody random and not somebody that she is supposed to objectively report on and/or somebody that could give her an unfair advantage with insider info. Just standard conflict of interest stuff and lying to your employer about it that makes it a firable offense. It’s like a lot of workplaces: it’s not ideal to have workplace romances, but as long as everything is above board, reported to HR, no major power dynamics issues, etc. then it’s usually fine. But if you’re cheating, sneaking, lying, and somebody could be translating that relationship to a workplace benefit, that’s a problem. -
That may be true but not having a competent and talented safety is what let Stafford cook us down the field in almost less than 1 minute and bouncing us out the playoffs. Scott is a liability in each level of the game IMO and a versatile player at that position can completely change the look of a defense just as much as a pass rusher. Knocked down passes big moments, turnovers, TFL, QB pressures on blitzes, etcetera. I'm not saying you don't want us to draft a safety, but most of us should agree that WE NEEEED a lights out safety on this team finally. If DM moves up a spot before Vikings and not give up much to snag him for us I won't be mad in slightest. This kid is a DAWG and I believe he could possibly be a staple on this defense the likes of the guys we still sing praises for Peppers, Kuechly, Davis, Rucker, Beason, Morgan, Gamble..............Thieneman?

Picks: Nos. 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 I'm extremely excited for the Panthers' 2026 draft. How could you not be? After two straight offseasons of aggressive defensive spending, coordinator Ejiro Evero's unit looks ready to make the leap. Jaelan Phillips and Devin Lloydfill out two of the biggest gaps on the roster, though the Panthers should not be discounted from drafting a top edge rusher early. Phillips is a major injury risk and not a sack artist, so he doesn't fully solve the Panthers' 5.3% sack rate from last season (27th in the league). The Panthers might be the Akheem Mesidor(Miami) team, as they need his production immediately. The Panthers are also often tagged as the Kenyon Sadiq team, which is very possible. No one among Tommy Tremble, Ja'Tavion Sanders and Mitchell Evans has played his way into an unquestioned starting role. But the Panthers do have three tight ends on the roster, two of whom are on rookie contracts. Sadiq would fit nicely in Dave Canales' offense, which has a dynamic screen game and schemes up targets well. But I'd like to see an accompanying move to make room at the position for Sadiq's snaps to love the pick. There's much more room at wide receiver, where a second three-level option to run besides Offensive Rookie of the Year Tetairoa McMillan could really bust open this offense. I could see an early pick spent in the secondary, which might come as a surprise to some. Slot corner Chau Smith-Wade has been fine but could be improved upon if an elite nickel option is available at No. 51 (think D'Angelo Ponds from Indiana or Keionte Scottfrom Miami). Depth behind the outside corners is also quite thin, and Mike Jackson (29 years old) is in a contract year, so a player with inside-out versatility would have even more value. Clemson's Avieon Terrell, anyone? The Panthers can also buttress the slot by drafting a safety with good man coverage traits to play opposite Tre'von Moehrig, as neither Lathan Ransom nor Nick Scott has emphatically secured that role. Treydan Stukes(Arizona) is another option who would make a lot of sense at No. 51. Bottom line: Wide receiver, pass rusher and defensive back are the big needs. Attack them aggressively -- this is the end of Bryce Young's rookie contract, so it's time to push

This could all be resolved very easily with a Russini nude photo shoot in the Athletic.

Ehh, she should have be fired. Or resigned. What I said in the post right before yours I am quoting gives the reason. There is no rage involved. Just standards. As far as your point I agree that the level of hostility in a lot of opinions is high. I see hypocritical blood lust level of self righteousness everywhere in society today, and it isn’t going to sit this one out. It is everywhere.

I disagree and let's not normalize poor personal decisions because lots of people don't make these trangressions and especially not with someone that you do business with when you work in the public eye.

2026 Win predictions from DraftKings
SmokinwithWilly replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think for Dan to have gotten the GM job, he had to be involved pretty heavily as Fitt's assistant. I've been an assistant and I've had them. If all Dan did was agree to whatever Scott said, then he was nothing more than a coffee guy. I'm sure he was doing evaluations, draft boards, going after FAs, all that stuff. Fitts couldn't do it all. How much Fitts listened to him we'll never really know, but I'm sure he was giving his input. I condemn him for being part of that group and part of the results of the results of that team. His first year drafting was horrible, very reminiscent of Fitts drafts. Reaches and projects. His 2nd year was better. We'll see what happens this year and how his team building overall comes together. Right now I think we're a 7-10 team, very limited by our QB play. Hopefully Bryce either turns a corner into a franchise QB or tanks so spectacularly we have no choice but to move on. If he rides that roller coaster again, I hope Dan can admit it's time to look elsewhere. -
