  1. Past hour
  2. Thornton's value is tremendous. If he had not stepped up.... I see him (maybe not right away) as the third CB since Smith Wade is the nickel. I think Bartholomew had a terrible camp--not sure where Evans stands. Re-signing Jackson was huge too.
  3. Some of them will come back if the team will ever win again. Big if, though.
  4. Hmmm. One of my old friend's son plays OT for them (Brandon Parker, NC A&T) and he may get some time at starter. Great kid--strong parents--His dad (my friend) played at UNC and briefly for the Steelers back in the day.
  5. I feel the exact same as I did last season. I'm excited to continue improving my golf game on Sundays.
  6. We are so jaded at this point that a Panthers player that DOESN'T suck must be a top 100 player, right? Most of our starters are backup on other NFL teams. Nobody got snubbed on that list, our team is just that bad.
  7. Ah, DTR, the legendary Browns benchwarmer some huddlers were pining for before Shedeur Sanders took his place.
  8. As far as this list goes. It's largely popularity based. The Panthers have been a joke. The team has to prove they can successfully shed that reputation. Until then you won't see any Panthers on these lists.
  9. SC actually did give a fug at one point, but as a subset of the fan base, have been getting sent to the kids table for years. Once Wofford got the axe, it all but sealed the deal. Only a few die hard fans still dot the state, but we are a dying breed and going extinct rapidly. I used to tailgate with groups of folks that drove up from SC EVERY home game. Back in the day, the amount of Panthers flags on cars going up I-85 was abundant. You got to think of the time, money and commitment compared to Metro Charlotte folks. Extra gas money, extra food, leaving the house extra early for the extra long drive. Just to get sh1t on? Any wonder why SC folks are ditching this organization with the lack of care shown to this state along with an abysmal product on the field?
  10. Not having Derrick Brown in the top 100 players is certainly a take.
  11. Compared to those that were on the list. Yes. Go look at 51-100 and tell me that they were better than Chuba? There were several head scratchers.
  12. I'm surprised Horn isn't on there, but in reality, it's not exactly the craziest thing for us to not have anyone on there. That's only 3.125 players per team who would make the list if evenly distributed. There are obviously a whole bunch of teams that have more than 3 players deserving of making the list, and that obviously will take spots away from the lesser teams to get someone on the list.
  13. Exactly. SC doesn't give one fug about the Panthers. Signing Renfrow finally shut them up but the Klepmson homers incessantly whining about the Panthers never drafting/signing their players was insufferable.
  14. Chuba? Top 100 NFL player? LOLOLOL
  15. Today
  16. The entire draft scouting department should have been purged with Fitterer IMO. The fact there were no major changes was and is a bad sign.
  17. We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
  18. I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther. Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt. It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three. ESPN is garbage anyhow.
  19. Bingo! We are on the same page. Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders. Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place. One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced. Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL. Why? RAS score, pure and simple. If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
  20. That’s where Huntley is headed.
  21. I've been pounding the drum for seven or eight years about this: Our scouting and evaluation department is crap. If we don't show marked improvement this season, it's time to blow the whole thing up from GM and HC on down to scouting and trainers. Clean slate, no "hey my buddy from back in the day is perfect to join us" crap anymore. This poo has to end somewhere.
  22. Raheem Morris has always been a terrible HC going back to Tampa. I don’t understand why he is so highly thought of.
  23. Before I opened the thread I wondered to myself if we had even one. Nope. Had Brown not missed all last season, he probably would have made it.
  24. We really need to figure something out at CB. Horn was healthy last year but had a history of going down. We are one injury away from depending on Chau Smith-Wade and Shamar Bartholomew on one side of the field.
