  1. Past hour
  2. Seems fine as a 4th round pick after we secure OT, ILB, S.
  3. Why is XL a bust and need 2 be replaced but Young gets 1000 chances to prove he may be avg? Also let's be real XL was a 2nd rnd wr. They just wanted the 5th opp if it took time for him 2 develop so they went up 1 spot. Maybe if they didn't trade the farm to get Young they could have got or had a better wr...
  4. He gushed over him when mocking him to the Cowboys. Then he won OROTY with Bryce Young. The guy is obviously a fuging moron.
  5. Today
  6. It's a dangerous game but I'd rather play the Pistons instead of the celtics. That means staying in 8th and beating the Heat at home after losing to the Raptors. Obviously best case would be finding a way into the 6th seed but I think the loss to Philly pretty much sealed the Hornets fate to be in the play in
  7. Just take BPA and if it so happens to be a WR then so be it or try to trade down and pick up some extra draft capital. You can draft for needs in rounds 2 through 7, but that first round pick needs to be someone who can come in and be an impact player. Personally, I'd want us to take Blake Miller or Spencer Fano to man the RT spot for the next decade plus after Moton hangs it up and who could possibly play LT if Ickey doesn't come back to 100%. But if the grade on those guys don't match up to the 19th pick or if we have a WR graded much higher than I'll have no problem with the team going a different direction. I do think the coaching staff is lower on XL than they are willing to admit publicly so a WR pick wouldn't shock me. The offense and Bryce looked better with Coker playing the Z than XL so if we upgrade that spot, it'll allow us to be more versatile with our WR alignments as both Tmac and Coker were pretty good lining up in the slot.
  8. It's the suggestion. "We can't draft a receiver in the first round, because that would be three times in a row. The FO doesn't know what it's doing. We can't do that [blah blah blah]." Stick with your board! If receiver is at the top of the board. If TE is at the top of the board, so be it. Morgan used free agency to give the Panthers that flexibility. It's that simple.
  9. That's bullshit though. Cam's interior line was inflated by Cam's ability to take a defender away and extend plays. He had a lame duck Deangelo and Stewart who was at the end of his prime. He had GOAT Steve Smith yes for 3 years. Olsen was a stud but was a crutch because we didn't have a good WR group. Our wideouts were routinely bottom of the league in separation rate. CMC was great but was too little too late. It was a moot point once TJ Watt destroyed Cam's shoulder. Cam never had the depth of offense and WR's this group has. Cam would have taken last year's team to 12 wins easy.
  10. Coker's a god damn stud and the best WR on the team. We don't need a 1st round WR.
  11. He refuses to admit when he's wrong, so he simply creates alternative realities where his lousy prognostications panned out. Why would a player win OROY if he only played well for half a damn season? If T-Mac played well for half a season he'd have given the Panthers a D-... Another great example. From Week 1 to Week 18, he listed the Panthers as one of the NFL's most overrated teams. BY WHO?
  12. That same game wins. Please play Bussi
  13. You want play makers, regardless if it's in the slot or not. Any old JAG is not the goal. I'd think that they want Coker in the slot and a faster threat on the outside, but there will be some overlap regardless if they're playing chess on Sunday as opposed to checkers. Versatility is still a thing also.
  14. Magic and heat both lost. Take all the help we can get
  15. We'll be waiting until Lloyd is done coaching
  16. Sounds like a lot of damage control from what Tillis said.
  17. Yessir, Center is not really a good value at 19. There's some question as to whether there will be a starter at OL at 19. The players are going to need development. If that's the case, we could say "We'll get a good developmental prospect later." It's all about value.
  18. We can't afford to draft inferior players out of need at the expense of a superior player based on need. If the board says this player will have more of an impact, you take the higher graded player irrespective of position. That is the whole reason why Morgan used free agency to set up the draft. If nothing else, Morgan has shown that he will address team weaknesses. Rome can't be built in a day. One-year rentals sometimes turn into long term productive players. If we don't get what we need this year, we'll get it the next. Moreover, there are seven whole rounds.
  19. It is. Even the mid to late round guys are super appealing and would have been ahead of Trevin in his drafft. Deontae Lawson - just look his stuff up, lot's to like Jimmy Rolder - absolute force. Limited sample size but the sample is pretty dope. (one of my favorite sleepers) Keyshaun Elliott - stud run defender, great size/length, is always wrapping plays up, high IQ. Even this dude Owen Heinecke is an interesting guy. Not some dog in the middle but will absolutely be an asset for particular teams (I.E. Minny would be an awesome fit)
  20. It's not explicitly saying it, it's suggesting that we draft a certain position, regardless if the receiver has the higher grade. We would never had made the playoffs without T-mac. Morgan did the absolutely right thing, and that's what I hope he continues to do in the draft, which is follow the board and draft impact players. He used free agency to set up the draft for just that purpose. For anyone that thinks last season was anything but an improvement, I don't know what to tell 'em. The goal is to keep the momentum going, and I'd say that addressing our three biggest needs with arguably the best players at their respective positions this free agency, and legit quality players to boot, goes along way toward building the foundation of long term success. Before free agency, no one was picking us to win the division, now more than a few analysts are, and that's before the draft. Pull your bootstraps up where you are and get to work. We aren't as good as we need to be, but the needle is moving in the right direction.
  21. The Bengals absolutely fuged up paying Higgins elite WR money. You can't have your QB and two WRs eating up your whole cap or you end up with... well, the Bengals. Your QB is getting killed because your OL is trash and you can't stop anybody because your D is trash because you can't afford a balanced roster. Unless you're smacking it out of the park in the draft you're gonna be hard pressed to put a good team on the field despite an elite QB and WRs.
