Yeah we had multiple chances to tie up the game or take the lead. We have made some significant strides as a team shooting threes but this group absolutely needs to be get more aggressive in the paint in crunch time. For all the praise of the group and Charles Lee being talked up as coach of the year that's just pitiful and unacceptable. Also adding even more insult to the loss. Apparently Embid is 21-1 against the Hornets.

I read that they don't like arms under 34", but I do not know. I can say that I have followed OTs who were drafted and many get kicked inside. Brady Christensen is one example. RTs seem to be more tolerant of shorter arms. As much as it seems silly, there is a reason the short-armed prospects can't hack the outside. For the 2026 NFL Draft, arm length is a critical talking point for offensive tackles, with 33 inches usually being the minimum threshold for teams. Notable top prospects include Monroe Freeling (34 3/4"), Blake Miller (34 1/4"), and Dametrious Crownover (35 3/8") having elite length, while Spencer Fano (32 1/8") is facing potential positional moves. Top 2026 NFL Draft Tackle Arm Lengths (Combine Measurements) Monroe Freeling: 34 3/4" Blake Miller: 34 1/4" Dametrious Crownover: 35 3/8" Max Iheanachor: 33 7/8" Caleb Lomu: 33 3/8" Kadyn Proctor: 33 3/8" Francis Mauigoa: 33 1/4" Spencer Fano: 32 1/8" Markeel Bell: 36 3/8" Garrett DiGiorgio: 32 5/8" Trey Zuhn III: 32 1/2" Key 2026 Measurements & Context The 33-inch Cutoff: Many teams consider 33 inches the minimum for NFL tackles, with sub-33 inch arms often leading to a move to guard. Spencer Fano's Case: Despite top-15 draft projections, Fano's 32 1/8" arms at the combine sparked debate about his long-term position, though he measured 32 7/8" at his pro day. High-Length Options: Markel Bell (36 3/8") is a standout for his length, while Dametrious Crownover (35 3/8") also boasts high-end measurements. Proctor's Perspective: Prospects like Kadyn Proctor acknowledge the talk but emphasize that elite film can overcome shorter measurements. Olinemen I like late: KY OT Farmer--has the arms but lacks the feet. will be a solid G imo. Parker II (Duke OT with sub 33 inch arms. Smart with good feet--projects to center. A smart, agile center is a nice thing. Zuhn III (Tex AM) is another T to C candidate. Of course, I think the Panthers will like traditional center Logan Jones (Iowa) because he is an experienced (50 starts) fit in a zone scheme.

He's apparently told the school that he was interested, hence why they are waiting.

Lance Zierlein's Position Rankings 2026 Draft

That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools. also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center. -
Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game

I agree. The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference. If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference. Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise. If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits. Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few. Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.

Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles. -
Processing Blue: immediate draft needs

I would be good with 4 rounds of that. I don’t want to slough off DT but am pretty much on the get a tackle on a rookie deal wagon. If OT wasn’t falling our way DT would be a prime alternative. -
Lloyd has the favorite 2 games from a championship. He is hedging for a raise IMO. I cannot see him leaving Zona
-
It's between Lloyd and Donovan right now.
-
You play in the Elite 8 tomorrow and you have guys on the roster already talking to other team prepping to hit the portal. This is why college sports has to go to contracts.
-
This dude is an idiot.
-
i just watched Lloyd get COMPLETELY outcoached by Matt Painter, despite Lloyd having 5 future NBA players and Matt Painter having zero. That's essentially what Hubert did for 5 seasons. No thanks. Go get Mark Few, stop fuging around.

They had a bad half and still pushed a healthy Sixers team with three Superstar players to the brink.
-
Up 1 with 2 minutes left and you are a bad 3 point shooter that just made one please don't take another with like 15 left on the clock. Melo was ass from 3 tonight too. They shot like complete crap in the second half and almost won
-
Bridges and Embiid are total bitches!! Embiid is a damn drama queen.. Hornets were sloppy at the end with their shooting.. they should have won the game
-
This was such a Carolina-type loss. Had a chance to shoot up to 7th and then squander it and now we are back to 10th. Choking away a 15 point lead.
-
Couldn't put the ball in the basket for damn near 15 minutes and only lost by 4. Bridges really pissed me off taking that second 3 on back to back possessions. Also I hate embiid and George
-
It's all relative, but Miller has been much worse than he was tonight. He made several good plays and played a big role keeping Hischier (a Cane killer), Bratt and Glass off the board. Give him some credit when it's due. Hall was on it all game. He had jump from the opening face-off and was consistently quick to loose pucks. He deserved the star. Every time Bussi goes out or back to play a puck, I cringe. The top line is still struggling. Passes aren't connecting, Aho is turning it over, Jarvy is not himself and Svech was the best player on that line.

I process this way. I am totally confused now. I guess it will help for me to see the logic of any move--too often I get it in my head what we need and then get blindsided.
-
This was about finding starters--not depth so much--It changed my approach. I am more confused than before and that is because Morgan has done a helluva job. In my mind, WR and Edge are back in the picture based on how I felt after this. Could Smith-Wade make the move from nickel to safety? According to the Observer, that is not out of the question: Key Details on Smith-Wade's Versatility: Role: Primarily a nickel corner, but capable of playing outside corner and safety, Performance: Displayed strong versatility during 2025 offseason workouts, making plays at safety during OTAs and minicamp, says Panthers.com. High Football IQ: Noted for his intelligence and ability to make calls for the secondary. Smith-Wade's future with the Panthers may include playing safety to fill gaps in the secondary, say Panthers Wire and the Charlotte Observer. This is significant to me because the draft is pretty deep at nickel CB.

We arguing on the internet. We both lame. But I'm right, so that's better than being lame AND wrong.
-
Yeah we definitely don't get any benefit of the doubt from the refs. We don't have anyone getting superstar treatment. Hopefully they learn how to win close games soon. I'm not sure that will happen this year though
-
The refs just are what they are and will be a hurdle to overcome for quite some time as we continue to be a franchise trying to shed the bottom dweller label. This group has won a lot of games by building significant leads. They're going to have to adapt to being more disciplined in winning close games if they want to win a playoff series. Such is the next step in the evolution of their development.

You're lame. It's been established
