  3. The problem with Borrego is that development you speak of amounted to one step forward two steps back more often than not. And when we got to any playoff atmosphere that development went right out the window. The mistake was firing him and having absolutely no answer except running it back with Clifford. That was a horrible decision obviously. For me I don't think this franchise is going to fire and hire their way into being competitive and relevant again. Lee needs to show improvement this upcoming season. But your argument of firing him now while running cover for Borrego doesn't make much sense sir.
  4. Don't care. We have two thousand yard rushers. The receiving group is pretty much the same, except that we added a first round pick and Renfrow. Tight End group is the same. Just goes to show how arbitrary some of these rankings are. It was basically they were bad last year (at least to start the year) so they will be even worse this year.

  6. We get no resecpt of course we been fairly rotten for the last few years. I am excited about this year!! Hope BY keeps stepping up in pocket and will be disapointed if we don't make play offs.
  7. Players were actually developing under him imo. Something that wasn't happening under Clifford and players like miller seemed to regress before injuries last year. I still think they should fire lee and try to hire thibs or Malone if they're available
  8. Nobody wants him for that contract. I really doubt we're getting much back for him without something else in the package and/or retained salary.
  9. It's made charcoal grilling super easy for someone who doesn't want to deal with setting up the snake method
  10. Check Walmart today/this week -- B&B charcoal for $10/bag
  11. His PPG actually did go up a little in Colorado. We will see. I still sort of believe we saw pretty close to the peak of his abilities last year. Not wishing him ill or trashing him in any way. Just tend to believe we did sell high and correctly so.
  12. Well, other teams also had an offseason. I honestly agree with him. Right now I have way more faith in Coker ascending then I do XL. I think it's the TE/WR group dragging us down. Plus he does mention that the list was made with WR's very much valued more than RB's and TE's(I understand the thought process). In that context, we have a very aging AT, two "wait and see" second year players(one leaning bust) and a rookie. I really think this is a very fair rating, on paper and in the offseason. Quite frankly, aside from the aforementioned and aging AT, this is a bunch of guys still trying to prove themselves. Then when you go to TE, it's easily a bottom 3-4 unit on paper. That is probably being extremely generous. RB is where we make our hay. Probably a top 5-10 unit. But....he mentions early in the article that he doesn't value the RB units as much. So, really, it's the weighting of the skill positions that is what really fugs us.
  13. I think over the next 2 weeks we'll sign a safety, and perhaps also a corner.
  14. I was just referring to how we always do poorly when expectations are high and in our better years (yes it's been a while) we did best under the radar.
  15. In hindsight JB wasn't to blame for the lacking culture. He did what he could with a LaMelo Ball led team. That doesn't mean he was the long term answer either. Different things can be true at one time.
  16. Ive relied on snakes for shoulders and ribs but the venom sounds awesome
  17. Yeah there's definitely homer-tinted glasses fueling part of me here. And other fans could say the same things, I just can't see us being behind the Pats, Browns, and even some teams that are higher up on the list like the Saints. Chuba & Rico is a Top 10 RB tandem at worst IMO. Allow for some Theilen regression, but expect T-Mac to be *something*, XL to improve even a little, and Coker to be Coker. Toss in promise from the TEs, and I just can't see 31. A lot of if ands and buts for us and every team, but just seems wild to me.
  18. Its the nfl, I dont think it matters either way. Although personally I like reading national guys giving their take on us and I prefer when its on the more positive side but God knows its been a while for that.
  19. They haven't been that since they stupidly fired jb
  20. What’s the chances Ransom starts week 1 at safety?
  21. Why would you be surprised? He’s only 26. Necas continued that scoring clip after being traded to Avs. His combined totals for the regular season were 27 goals 83 points in 79 games! KK not even a comparison. Agree he has had a drop off in playoffs and can’t put my finger on the cause other than facing great teams.
