  1. Past hour
  2. You might have been in this discussion about this very subject not that long ago. We were breaking down the ‘NFL’ guys allocated to different SEC teams. It was real lopsided like you are saying. There very well may have been SEC teams that had one or two defensive players, at most, drafted. Not isolated but pretty common. Meanig the Alabama offense was facing 9 players that went on to teach or sell insurance or whatever…
  3. Picking up his 5th locks him in for 2 years simply due to the economics of the situation. What you are suggesting simply doesn't happen. After year 3 a decision is made either short or long term. Its just the way this has shaped out. In short Bryce has 8 games to get his poo together. But like I said earlier the wild card are the teppers.
  4. It does not work like that. For early 1st round QB the after the 3rd year its three things- pay, cut, or trade. 0% chance BY will play on the 5th year, they will force Panthers hand with the last bit of cleavage (lols) Leverage they have. So you can either pay him 200+ mill with around 130 guaranteed or trade him for ..... I guess mid round picks....
  5. Sure, but busting is generally about performance is it not? Many talented players have been robbed of their careers because they got hurt.
  6. If we were to go through your post history what percentage do you think might be, at least tangentially, concerning Bryce Young? As in shading people who are not fans or Bryce Young as our QB going forward, or directly responding to the mention of his name or the criticizing of his play, etc etc. ? You don’t contribute to this environment, like ever?
  7. I appreciate the clarification. Still, the way I see it, they have the remainder of this season, all of next year and all of his fifth year IF they pick up his fifth year to evaluate him without having to sign him to a long term deal. I know they have to decide by May on whether to pick up the option, but that doesn't lock them into anything long term. Picking up his option does not mean they are signng him to a 50 or 80M/year deal like some are posting here. Correct?
  8. That was looking rough until the canes killed 1 and then got back to back power plays. That completely changed the period.
  9. key difference is Bryce is better on his feet. the other massive difference, is what the investment in Bryce has afforded him in terms of chances and opportunity. I mean, look at Spencer Rattler. He went to the bench not because he showed less promise than Bryce (he is statistically better than 3rd year Bryce)……but the front office didn’t have all that egg on their face.
  10. Hopefully Ehlers is unclogged now that he scored
  11. These are the moves we needed to put us over the top. Superb Owl, here we come!
  12. Point of contention. We aren't a young team
  13. Finally! Ehlers! Get another on this PP
  14. Good job Ehlers. That is why I love hockey. You team can be struggling but if you get a chance or break you score and get that boost.
  15. Rangers trying to exhaust our power play unit by taking back to back penalties
  16. People so quickly jump between expectations. Let's just be competitive very quickly turns to fans expecting a Super Bowl appearance
  17. You got a good grasp of this mess. I've been wanting to ask all the BY fans what type of money they want to give him, as you layied it out and you just can not agree....he's done the min it takes for a few games. Plus brother the cap is going up, 45 AAV maybe the bottom starting QB as insane as it is. Still I DO NOT want BY anywhere close 45, even giving him backup money is hard to think about. Deal is after the season, its going to be Uber hot about what to do. You know his agent will not allow him to play even if they do the 5th year, everyone on his side will want a juicy 200mill+ deal that I would curse tepper for his current and afterlife........ They got to either trade him or pay him this off-season. Period, that's the mountain awaiting this off-season. Either one can save your NFL career or ruin it...... The QB market is turbo ass, unless you are a trey lance truther, Sam "I love unc" Howell, or Willis....Theres Zack "wow I backpedal and toss a 70 yard dime and living off my 2nd overall draft status" Wilson. Or if Indy goes insane and doesn't tag .......I can not even type his name....the whole QB market is him and lost dreams. I personally have not drove in draft, cause thank the gods Panthers are still in the playoff hunt, but form afar it looks scary......like a bunch of 2nd-3rd QBs will be drafted in the top half and I DO NOT want to trade up again by paying the insane future 1st etc. SO.............fug its bad........and I don't see a lane, unless a Jake ver2.0 Delhommy happens again. Maybe trade has the best path, Im enjoying the season too much to find out which teams even have a QB worth trading for.....fug....
  18. Im not sure why more folks don't understand this. Bryce is out of time. Hes got 8 games left to show he's a franchise qb. But we all know by now
