  1. Past hour
  2. We aren't winning because of DC... We are winning because teams either shoot themselves in the foot Non-Stop or Evero and the defense stand on their head and hold a team below 14...
  3. You twist my words to try to gain brownie points or something, not sure why you do that. Talking in absolutes will always come back to bite you in the butt. The facts are: QB's have been miserable here and improved somewhere else and cited a miserable environment in Carolina. That's just the facts. Bryce could be done in the NFL after this season, sure. He also could "rediscover his love of football" and look great somewhere else. It just is what it is with this crappy franchise.
  4. On Canales? Undecided. On Canales / Bryce? Yeah, that combo isn't gonna cut it.
  5. I am down for that too. Mainly because I place a super high value on continuity and want to exhaust every option before turning a staff over again. It stunts the young player development, makes guys not fit the new regime’s standard, all that stuff.
  6. Very similar in terms of production and what they gave up (2 firsts and a second), but losing DJ Moore (which led to us reaching on XL) is the candle on that poo cake.
  7. The guy that blocked it actually didn't get through. The kick was low and the defensive player stood up and timed his jump perfectly. The fact that he was still at the line was why the ball got past the line of scrimmage which meant the ball was a free ball and either team could recover it. That's how we got the ball back from that kick. Which the offense then promptly fumble the ball and gave it right back to the Saints.
  8. Part of me thinks he might be better in an offense that emphasizes deep passing. But the ultimate truth is that no scheme in existence is going to compensate for a lack of effort and commitment.
  9. Factor in the trade and he's #1. We traded... 2023: #9 and #61 picks 2024: #1 overall 2025: #39 Plus DJ Moore All for a guy who is borderline NFL roster worthy. Were there even worse individual picks? Yeah, I'd say that Jamarcus Russell was worse. Ryan Leaf was worse. But factor in all the assets invested into that pick and it's not even close. The only reason Bryce has piled up all those starts is because of how bitter of a pill it is to swallow that trade being a bust. If Bryce had simply been the #1 overall pick without that massive trade I honestly think we would've moved on this past off-season. Two years had shown you everything you needed to see.
  10. I agree you can’t fire him right now if you’re Tepper but it’s clear to me that he’s not the long-term answer unless he starts changing how he is treating and coddling players
  11. when you factor in cost.....if things ended this year? Cost is going to 100% put him in the top 5 all time convo.
  12. Council is convening at 1:30 today. Follow up presser at 3pm followed by team BBQ at 4.
  13. The excuses, keep on coming. None of it is related to his diminutive size and the suspect arm that requires attention to the mechanics and footwork to operate at a competitive level. I hope one day he proves all of us wrong so you can look better but right now you just look like a guy in denial.
  14. I can actually see Canales getting fired at the end of the season if we go on a big losing streak and Tepper REALLY wants to keep Bryce as a starter at QB.
  15. Ryan Leaf is way worse than Bryce stats wise, but the multiple firsts and DJ Moore might make him all time biggest bust.
  16. I personally feel that it is difficult to fairly analyze any player or coach on this team as long as BY is the starting QB.
  17. I have seen where people say he makes great throws in practice. But then he has always looked good in shorts and with no contact. It is a different thing when he is worried about being hit. Just a little bit more challenging.
  18. But, but, but guys... look at these super cherry picked super situational stats! Bryce is the 9th best QB in the league on 2nd and 13 with a 6 point lead so take that!
  19. There has been plenty of QB's with "physical measurables" that have failed. Again, it is entirely possible Bryce is completely defeated mentally and that is causing his perceived lack of accuracy and arm strength. And that a reset somewhere else, on the bench, without pressure, fixes that. And again, the same poo was said about Darnold and Mayfield here. Its not a coincidence that both of them "rediscovered their love for football" somewhere else and are now thriving. Taking this stance that "oh but Bryce will NEVER be able to do the same" is weird because....what if he does? More backtracking by the same posters?
  20. You can fire him. You could justify it too. But odds are highly likely we won't find anyone any much if at all better or less of a yes man as his replacement. In fact that is going to be the entire coaching candidate pool.
  21. I cannot imagine watching Bryce all year in practice as a teammate, must be brutal watching the ducks he throws and how hard everything is with a qb his size.
  22. Mayfield and Darnold should be exempt from Bryce comparisons. They have the tools and physical measurables that he lacks. It is apples to oranges. Bryce has no comps really, if he is to succeed he will be the first of his line to do it. The closest comp I have been able to find is Flutie who was practically identical in height and weight, but with a much stronger arm and I am pretty sure more mobility also, but different era. The arm advantage can’t really be argued, so the comp breaks down. I don’t know how saying that is hate. It is just reality. Not that you specifically said it was hate but the general theme is if you don’t believe in his abilities and say so, it is hate. I will tell you, I have hated 90% of the last three seasons with him at QB but if he did well, and could sustain that, I don’t think I would snipe at him.
  23. Bryce has never been able to throw deep in the NFL. He is bad at it. Every season. You can find a clip of Tom Brady rushing for 20 yards. Doesn't mean he is good at it. Bryce was always a small ball point G. We cheered it when we drafted him. He doesn't fit a Jake Delhomme fug it deep ball offense. Which has always been the Canales tree and every QB he earned this job off of (Wilson, Geno and Baker).
