  2. I did not think they would do it--with Walker and Moton and Dave Canales comments about seeing the field immediately. There could be something we do not know, but this also has the potential to make us better at 2 spots--Ickey was average at best--could be an elite G. Freeling can become an elite LT. If we get cap room by releasing Hunt in 2027, move Ickey to RG....we got 2 positions covered as we become more cost effective--I get it. I just did not think they would do it.
  3. Love it--but a lot of "Ball knowers" were predicting it. Still, I literally laughed out loud at this.
  4. Also, this further keeps Stone off the field. I'd trust Nick Scott and Ransom before I trust Stone. Important if we want any semblance of a chance.
  5. I think we give up 1 of our 5ths tonight and move up for a LB.
  6. I had become more and more on board with Thienemen, but there's safeties in the 2nd and 3rd with more value than the OTs that will be left IMO. Good value pick, smart for the cap, and gives us some OL flexibility and future in uncertain times. Best case, he's our franchise LT, Ickey comes back and can take over for Moton at RT, and we don't really miss a beat. This might not be the immediate impact pick, but it's the highest potential one we could've made.

  8. this right here. We need to get some solid rookies and contracts in there to address other areas.
  9. Great pick. The front office is anticipating future needs and getting ahead of them. High level left tackles don’t grow on trees. His basketball playing days have helped his footwork immensely.
  10. Getting a year ahead of the problem is how the Ravens / Steelers et al remain perennially good. Some sources are saying he was the top OT available, or OT2 at worst. We just have to be patient because he needs a lot of coaching.
  11. I’m confused. You’re asking why a guy who played his entire college career as a LT would be a good nfl LT? A guy who started for one of the best SEC programs? A guy that allowed a 1.8% pressure rate in 2025, which was the lowest among all left tackles in college football? That’s just an assumption?
  12. I like our chances of having a good option at LB tonight in the 2nd. Rodriguez, Hill, Allen, and Golday are all still available and I don't see them all going in the first 18 picks tonight.
  13. Watching other teams social media most call him the only true LT prosoect. Im not saying they are any more or less correct but it only seems to be a Panthers fan angle that he is only a RT. Joe Thomas said for the Browns to take him at 6 for LT. Thomas might know something about the position. Nothing about his strengths and weaknesses really suggests hes a better RT.
  14. Today
  15. Hard to tell if someone will work out or not but he sure put a lot of folks on their backs last year. Also his arms are a mile long.
  16. Yeah, obviously, but not all college LTs pan out at LT in the NFL. Again, where is it coming from other than just the huddle making assumptions?
  17. Georgia LT Monroe Freeling: 1.8% Pressure Rate Allowed in 2025 Best Among All Left Tackles in College Football
  18. Because he played LT at Georgia. He played 28 games for Georgia. All were at LT.
  19. They would have picked the safety I think
  20. Im seeing posts here say he can play LT but from what Im reading, he is a raw RT. What is the assumption he would be good at LT coming from?
  21. The two recent examples returned to play 13 to 14 months later. That does not put Ikem on the field this year
