He had a couple great plays moving out of the pocket or moving up in it in the 4th quarter, before that last drive. he just seemed to lose the mojo he'd been building... Just made it all seem like a mirage.

So, just what is it that makes a QB "elite"?

Or 5'10". -
Can agree with a lot of that but Campbell's been good for a long time.

He's a stud. Hopefully the franchise does right by him. Beginning with the first round of the 2026 draft. -
CRA started following Robert Hunt - injury

https://x.com/josephperson/status/1967386322475368490?s=46 well, we do know much yet but listening to him….it doesn’t sound very good

Exactly. If we fire Canales within two years, the only options that would come here would be coaches that likely wouldn't sniff a HC elsewhere (like a longtime position coach/associate head coach) or a retread like Mike McCarthy or Bill Belichick. We won't be in consideration for anybody with options.

We need a true center

I think one of the contributing factors was he was not playing against NFL caliber level players every position, every down, every week. Alabama had an advantage most weeks on the field. In the NFL that gap in talent is much smaller, and that makes judging the ability for college players to transition to the NFL so much harder. -
Honestly, if I had to make a prediction it will be that he will be out of the NFL in 4 years.

If ATL is smart..they run run and run some more!!!

I know you talked up his after catch abilities but I thought that he looked so smooth today after the catch, I was really impressed -

Basically the best trait a QB can have is making the players around him better. Everyone is going to have a bad game from time to time. Football is a team sport but the QB position is the most important on the field. If your QB can’t perform what is asked of him and also elevate the guys around him you are going to lose more games than you win. If you have a QB that can do that and also surround him with elite talent then you are more than likely a Suberbowl contender. -
Yeah they're only gonna die on this hill at the very bitter end. Because the owners wanted Bryce badly.
-
If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd say perennial backup with the potential to be a good QB coach down the road. He's certainly shown the ability to play at an NFL level sometimes, but you can't build a team around "sometimes".
-
The D is bottom third in the league, talent wise - we're lacking talent at LB and at S. I bet that's where we'll rank come the end of the season. I think you're being disingenuous with your Young take. This was his THIRTIETH start. He's the same guy that ran out there against the Falcons in 2023.

Pretty much. -
I feel like it was just waiting for the inevitable to happen.

The DL was mediocre, the LB's are amongst the NFL worst, safeties are average on a good day. CB was a bright spot.

Oh, that's gonna change. All the Panthers are gonna do is rave about Bryce's 300+ yards and 3 TDs and his HUGE second half comeback conveniently avoiding the hard truths about his performance.
-
They are all meaningful until they're out of playoff contention. Bryce returned last year when they were what, 1-7?

I’m not sure if I can define elite but if Bryce’s career ended today…. we would be debating the Clausen, Carr section of the Panthers rankings and where Young plugs in. Which is below the Teddy, Allen section. -
Man, I do feel bad for Corbett. He just cannot stay healthy.

Guess I'm the only one that thought the D played well today. The Cards were just repeatedly targeting Rozeboom and Scott - short of just benching them for rookies I don't know what Evero is meant to do there. He dialled up a perfect blitz on that Murray 30 yard scramble and Rozeboom just whiffed. Should have been a 15 yard loss, drive over. Jimmy's and Joe's, ladies and gentlemen.
