A lookback at Morgan's first draft
SmokinwithWilly replied to R0CKnR0LLA's topic in Carolina Panthers
Or the franchise LT that we wouldn't even consider because his arms were an inch to short. After all, who needs a franchise left tackle when you have THE Greg Little watching your backside. -
Is there a stat showing how many times Bryce had to jump to throw the ball?
-
THAT WAS ALL JOSH ALLEN ON THAT ONE https://www.facebook.com/MEMES.of.the.NFL/videos/1317314010015858/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v I'm sorry... what???
-
That's what I'm saying. Exactly. I posted this in another thread. But Cam's MVP season we had $17 million and some change of salary cap invested into the OL for 2015. That was 14th in the league at the time. Right now we have $85 million+ invested in the OL for the year and that's even before Icky's upcoming new contract extension. Yet still somehow some people want more for poor Bryce Young. It is truly insane.
-
Crazy when you think about Cam playing behind a defensive tackle in Nate Chandler and Bell. lol
-
Sorry dude…they may just drop it as well lmao
-
Brett Farve lite If we have to make a move, and it looks like we will, we should have some top tier options but man its going to suck having to neglect the defense again in the first
-
why would you do this to yourself
-
The other thing I would add is the size and arm talent to play in the NFL. Without that the other things wont matter.
-
Injuries are going to happen. If a backup left tackle causes Bryce Young to fully revert back to arguably the worst starting QB in the league he isn't the guy anyway. We have the most salary cap invested in the OL for 2025 by a wide margin.

Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?
mrcompletely11 replied to Panthero's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
Its really going to suck having to blow another top pick on a qb (offensive player) but it has to be done -
But everyone who watched the game generally felt the same way. You did. Did you go back and watch the all-22 for Trevor? Because if your intent to is to go back and figure out why he wasn't better than he was..... you can simply find ways the team didn't help him as much as they could of.....with ease. Any QB. It's now the 3 straight season openers of explaining away why Bryce wasn't as horrific as it seems. My days of doing the Dwyane Jarrett defense are long over ( I used to be that dude). I mean, I just don't get what folks are doing at this point with him. I have rewatched. I have rewatched others also rewatching with their takes on it all too. It's Bryce. Hyper fixating on a play that you rewatch a hundred times to build the case for the 3rd straight opener of why he doesn't stink as bad as he stunk? Yeah, it's just Bryce. You really won't need to watch the all-22 in his next stinker to know it's Bryce....when you figure that out on Sunday already.

Just seeing a ball go past the line of scrimmage would be a welcome sight. Watching that Bills vs Ravens game was rough for a Panthers fan. Lasers shooting down the field in every direction.
-
oh my god i had not seen the pick six
-
"Fake Stat" he knows
-
lmao i didn't notice that on one of those high snaps, bryce was trying to make a check after he already told the guard to snap it

How dare anyone discuss what is clearly ailing this franchise. The nerve!

Highest rate of incompletions due to WR error
PantherChris replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ehhh XL was horrible, this metric I feel like only tells part of the story not all catches missed due to receiver error are equal, down and distance, and yardage/potential scored missed matter too. -
I thought the 10 yard in route was a good throw because he threw it with perfect anticipation. I don't get how he makes that quick decision and a perfect throw, then every other throw he makes is a late read that either is thrown out of bounds, to the other team, or is a hospital ball

For the Cards: Will Johnson was excellent week 1. He looked like that high R1 level talent people thought he was (outside his injury concerns). Still can have issues vs. man They almost entirely retooled their defense from last year, even more than the Jags but have the same coaches. Their new front-7 is a really interesting bunch, but either new or inexperienced. They should absolutely be attackable. Their running game is a good one. Which if established early could open things up for MHJ and McBride. But the receivers after Harrison are not good, so I feel our defense matches up well. That being said, if our LBs play like week 1, it could be a very long day. Could see long sustained drives by AZ, not giving us much time to respond or have dud drives.

Young feels pressure every play because he's so small. He looks terrified back there.
-
I noticed that Renfrow was wide open on a lot of plays also - I think every comeback and wheel route he ran he was wide open (at least 5 yards of separation).
-
Spot on - this dude needs to be our actual NFL tape review guru. The part where he says Bryce is always in a passive stance on pass plays is eye-opening. Bryce is never stepping forward getting ready to throw a dart to someone when in the pocket; he just loosely stands in the pocket then throws off his back foot and lets the ball hang in the air...
