  2. Become a trailer park ninja kung fu instructor for the Jerry Springer show.
  3. US vs Canada on a collision course. Btw, Ehlers with a nice goal today with Jarvis being limited on ice time.
  4. Today
  5. It is like when you go to da buffet at da Golden Corral and dey have all dis food and you get the same thing every time. There is probably something you would like more, but you go to da same ol racks and get da same ol food every time. Not sure why I am writing in trailer park dialect, but hey, watcha gonna dooo.
  6. If we don't go OT, we will regret it. What bothers me? Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19? I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him. I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard. After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2. In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game. Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game. If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early. I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone. There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there. Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
  7. And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
  8. I understand that some people want WR. I am solidly against using yet another high pick there. Coker is pretty good and we used No picks on him. What I think we really need at WR is a little bit of a Smitty lite. It is ridiculous to say let’s get a Smitty because you just can’t do that, but someone not tall and long striding but more in his mold. I think we’d have a pretty well rounded group. Looking at tackle, with replacing Moton looming, it just seems like the no brainer. You fill in Icky short term. Depending on how he recovers, and how the new guy plays, you go from there. A tackle at 19 is most likely either a LOT, a ROT, or a big talented guard, at worst. We will need all three in the next couple of years. I would love to have a stud ILB be there at 19 but the OL is the responsible thing to do I believe.
  9. some of yall know this, but he has been my favorite panther since we signed him.
  10. I think most Huddlers think we should go LT and I think one of the top 4 will be there at 19. I could make an argument to go Edge, ILB, and get this....WR again (with XL's play and TMac's performance, if a top 2 WR falls to us, we could do it.) We need free agency first--that will tell us all we need to know.
  11. If stories are true, 89 was not allowing Cam lead the team. His prickly attitude and personality was growing old and was a distraction. It was addressed but nothing changed. He was being difficult and there are reports he was not supporting his young QB. It was Cam or 89, and the Panthers correctly chose Cam.
  12. They tried. KB and FunFun were thoroughbreds. KB took over that national championship game with Jameis at QB. Up until spring training of 2015, KB was him. He wasn't Steve Smith, but he was who we drafted him to be. And then, he hate the guy he was supposed to be.
  13. Fox is 71 years old. Still able to coach at that age is doing pretty well IMO.
  14. Bevell has been an interim HC for a few games in two different places, and that is the extent of his HC experience. But OC experience, play calling, scheming, he has that unquestionably. And that is where Canales has arguably been the weakest. The Seattle thing is what it is at this point. I am sure there is a downside and maybe that is, it might be a stale philosophy. The upside of it is the fit should be relatively seamless with them all drawing from the same well, terminology and philosophy wise. This is reminiscent of the Reich all star staff thing, except it isn’t a hodge podge of people drawn from diverse influences it has that ‘alignment’ thing going for it. (except lol, the little detail that they aren’t exactly all stars). I admit to being a fan of alignment, with everyone on the same page. It make a lot of sense to me. Whatever page you pick, get everyone on that same page.
  15. I wish Cam had asked Smitty if he was on the roster in 15, do we win the SB? I imagine we would. Smith would make Talib his bitch and the NFL would have given us leeway with the officiating having a legacy vet like Smith on the team vs the Manning retirement narrative.
  16. Not blaming him for everything, just "singling him out". I love it when morons call other people morons. LOL
  17. You’re a fuging moron. Never once did I say it’s Caleb’s fault that Veesaar is soft as fug near the rim on both ends. Never once did I say it’s Caleb’s fault this team let a true PG (who’s thriving at Michigan) walk and replaced him with two guys who aren’t true PGs. Never once did I say it’s Calebs fault that our coaching staff is atrociously bad, and full of the least innovative, least adaptable minds in all of top flight programs. Never once did I say that it’s Calebs fault that despite maybe being the best athlete on the court, Jarin Stephenson has been an absolute portal bust. Never once did I say that it’s Caleb Williams fault Trimble got hurt. Never once did I say it’s Caleb’s fault this teams bench is an absolute joke. Never once did I say that Bogavac was supposed to be an upgrade over Cade Tyson, and it turns out Tyson is way better than this staff could deal with. How’s that for not blaming Caleb for everything. It is possible to really like a player (like I do with Caleb) and also be able to be honest about holes in his game / effort at times (like I do with Caleb).
  18. Yesterday
  19. I don’t know what the team is thinking but I tend to agree on LOT. I have said before that it pushes the upgrades we hoped to make all down a rung on the priority ladder. It feels like… you have this great vacation planned and right before you are about to go, you lose your job. You still gonna take that vacation or are you going to pay bills?
  20. I think the Bevell hire has more to do with adding actual veteran head coaching experience to the staff than anything else. But I do wholeheartedly agree that the obsession in general with Seattle needs to come to an end. I mean we plucked the one guy there to be our GM who turned out to be our worst GM in franchise history in just a few short years and that's really saying something given our history there. Clearly trying to mimick Seattle in any way has not been productive. As far as Idzik many of us have asked the same question but at this point in time it doesn't really matter anymore because Canales is either going to lead this franchise to a winning record or he will be shown the door.
  21. Why wasn't here even considered? Better record and save % than any of t he 3 goalies on the US squad.
  22. That’s why Bevell is a good move. Idzik might not be chopped liver, he is just inexperienced and even less ready to be the play caller than Canales. I still say the playbook is limited which is a hinderance to calling plays, I would imagine. Anyway Beavis lol… no Bevell, got to consecutive SBs as an OC and won one with 48 points or something. Should have won the second one. And had several more good years there. They were the team we had to learn how to beat it took us til the third year I think before we could go into Seattle and successfully compete. That is glass half full thinking, yep, but that is head and shoulders over what we have had here for a while. Certainly now. In addition.. It was Canales’ boss. He knew more then , I would bet he knows more now. I can’t look at this as anything but a potential positive thing. Hell he might be the guy that can look at Dave and say what the fug are you doing? And Dave will listen. I think I can hope for that. Maybe not.
