Former Panther (Tuttle) finds new home
PleaseCutStewart replied to Leeroy Jenkins Ph.D.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably, but the dude is at his best a last player on the roster kind of guy. We have played a lot of nickel/big nickel under Evero - it's not like he never had the chance to play on an even front for us. The guy struggles to eat blocks, shoot the gap, tackle, bull rush/swim past blocks, etc. Like he honestly has no trait of football I would call above average (and most I wouldn't even call average). He overachieved in 2022 and we stupidly gave him a 3 year deal off of 1 ok year -
not a fan of these, look kind of clownish

With 2 ends without their hands in the dirt on the outside. You do get that a 3-4 NT isn't the same as a 4-3 NT right? -

He played better in a 4-3 IMO. He is useless as a 3-4 NT. He doesn't have the ability flat out for that scheme. -

I mean, we have 6 rookies on D, so we don't know poo about them. 3 of those 6 will likely be starting sooner than later, Princely, Scourton, and Ransom. Definitely a LOT of room for growth on this side of the ball still. -

You dont know what you are looking at. The guy in the middle playing straight up on the center is a NT. It doesn't get any more clear. -

I don't think a scheme change is going to help him out much... We ran plenty of 4-2-5 nickel while he was here and he looked terrible when he was out there on those downs -

Would have thought for sure his new team would be whatever CFL team has the equivalent of our defense from last year... -

I'm legitimately curious what the thought process is starting A'Shawn Robinson over Bobby Brown. Also, did Ian Thomas send all his incriminating photos of the coaching staff to Nick Scott before he left town? -

hmmm....think OP is wanting good plays for this week in daily, not sleeper picks for a real fantasy team

IMO, both EDGE starters, one DE, both LB's, at least one CB and a S need upgrades. Potentially NT, TBD. Now could some of these guys penciled in pan out to be above average NFL caliber starters? For sure. I just don't think the bulk of them can, hence how I came up with my numbers.
