  1. Past hour
  2. Diversity is always good. So we should add speed to the #3. Moore, XL, Renfrow, and Horn ain’t it. And Tremayne should be groomed to backup TMac/Coker.
  3. CSW is awful. Sanders adds no value. Wallace at least started to show some signs of progress. Losing Thornton hurt this defense big time. Thornton and Coker both UDFA’s are the only two worth a damn. And this damn team cut Coker. They got real lucky
  4. Coker is the man. We need a dependable speed WR that will blow the top off of a defense, and a pass catching TE to add to the mix and we will be good. Our TE room is solid but we need someone who will stand out in the pass catching game, we cannot depend on Sanders (my hope is an underrated signing such as Likely from the Ravens)
  5. Personally like the mid round pick not because it’s Carson Beck but because I think two rookie QBs might be overkill and team resources needed to bring them along and evaluate may be constrained. Just an opinion. Overall I like the mindset of both drafts and the approach of getting talent for the defense. Ideally (not a criticism just my opinion) I would rather have an OT at 88 but you have to pick based on how the board falls and don’t want to reach.
  6. None of this counts. The players they picked in draft wont be here next year. Brooks better out that degree to use
  7. He’s an ERFA Our real priority signing is Yosh now. Icky’s knee is toast and doubt he’ll be ready for the start of next season. It would be stupid to sign him to a long term deal now
  8. To be the man, you have to beat the man. If we ever expect to make a run, you have to be able to compete with the big dogs so I welcome it. We can’t keep getting help to make it in the playoffs, we need to keep building it block by block, the Seattle game in 2014 is one we will always remember because it showed us that we belong with the best
  9. You realize it only impacts 3 games right? If Philly loses today they might look real different come next season. The divisions were playing the same place finisher as are all tough divisions anyways. Really doesn’t make a huge difference
  10. This season’s success really had more to do with the D than O….. and I think Evero stinks. But that’s a reality folks should acknowledge. The D made better strides and had more impact than the O. So you got to acknowledge that when planning ahead. and please note I support replacing Evero
  11. Looking at most and strength of schedule for this season you will see it doesn't matter. No need to be scared. Fans dont suit up.
  12. Was not sure--but I wanted to make sure--I gave up on him early this season---and I was born in Columbia while my father was playing for the Gamecocks, so it was tough to do!!
  13. It’s my issue with Canales. It’s to the point I rather be trailing in a game until the very end. When we start attacking downfield and Bryce gets into a rhythm he’s damn good. It’s when Canales is hellbent on setting up 3rd and medium-long with the run game is when this offense stalls out. This offense seems to live in 3rd down when Canales wants to kill momentum and run the ball Rico is gone. Him and Chuba are mostly the same back at this point. neither back is able to run that angle route Kyren scored on yesterday. Easy ass completion for a touchdown for Stafford. What really hurts this offense is our inability to draw up easy completions for 10 yards or so but we don’t have the playmakers for that. Watch Chicago play and I’m so jealous of the talent they have. Their TE might be their best WR in a room that has Odunze Burden and Moore. The entire defense bit on a screen to Bruden leaving Moore wide ass open. We don’t have a player that will threaten the defense on a simple screen. That 2nd down inside screen to Coker was dead from the start yesterday. Terrible play at a terrible time
  14. If in June you said we'd have hosted a home playoff game and had four lead changes in the final quarter of that game vs the mighty Rams, but just lost by 3 in the end... I'd have thought you were smoking crack. The guys did better than any of us expected this season. They've set the bar high for themselves next season. I ain't mad. And Bryce played like he deserved to be there. Still not sure why we didn't keep pushing those slant routes at the end there with the success we'd been having with them and three timeouts in our pocket. Oh well, coach and company have grown a lot this year, and they've got some more to grow on.
  15. I could argue that they need a deep threat, (and you could argue that both are) but I agree. The only reason Coker is not a bigger name is because they tried to develop XL. But Horn is coming along (too soon?) Tremayne had 15 receptions on 19 targets for 160 yards--bottom of the roster quality. If you step back, there are bigger needs on this team, like edge and LB
  16. With all that was going on with the Panthers I got completely distracted from the fact there was a Hornets game. Now that is an ass whooping. Where the Ace Bailey boys at??????
  17. That draft, if you recall, was before Fox's lame duck season. It was the one draft when Marty Hurney was on his own without input. I overheard Fox talking to Tergovac (I believe it was him--memory) and he was telling him "That's not an NFL QB." Then he watched Armanti Edwards drop a simulated punt from the jugs machine, and he shook his head and walked off laughing sarcastically. Hurney nabbed Clausen after two teams that desperately needed a QB passed on him--in rounds one AND two--and bragged that he stole a "top 10" QB. He tried to trade away our first-rounder the following season to move up to pick #33 to grab him. Then, rich with the draft capital he saved, traded up (later) for Armanti Edwards. I read a rumor that the Colts bluffed him about their interest in Edwards and he took the bait. Brandon Lafell in the third and I think he took headcase Hardy in the fifth or so that draft, with Eric Norwood (bust) in as our fourth rounder. Hurney sucked.
  18. Folks are going to be really upset when his contract extension is announced. Whew.
  19. TMac and Coker are more than adequate for any young quarterback. As far as the group beyond them what exactly are people expecting? At what point do people expect the #1 pick to begin to make his WR's better instead of the other way around?
  20. Why he didn't blitz the statue of a QB that Stafford is (on the last series), is beyond me. Send the house and shake his ass up, or send Moehing or Ransom to plant him. Lame at best.
  21. You clearly don't know what your talking about.. that's a zone defense. He didn't have rozeboom man to man following puka.
  22. We should have drafted Isaiah Bond instead of Jimmy.
  23. I don't want to give the appearance that I and the Nostrah Dumbass of this board because I miss a lot when trying to analyze talent, but I was all over Coker before the draft. I wanted the Panthers to take him on day 3. When he did not get drafted, I started banging the drum for him. Apparently, they agreed. (All Hail, MHS!! All Hail). I also thought we should have drafted a DT (Marcel Dareus) over Cam Newton and give Clausen another year to develop. (Boo, MHS!!!, Boo to you!!!) All that to humble myself. Coker is not blazing fast, but he runs good routes and has perhaps the best hands in the NFL. I am tired of drops. He is of high character---a guy you can support--unlike some of these other WR divas in the NFL. Lock him up long term-I am guessing a deal in the $10m range (after yesterday) would not be out of the question. He had around 400 yards this season, so let's keep yesterday as a good game and not a coming-out. We need a consistent deep threat, imo, an explosive WR with good hands. Imagine that. XL? Maybe its back to road kill and Dolla Bill. Maybe this league was not meant for you. Nothing wrong with giving it a shot, making some bank, and returning to your home. Morgan? Your worst move so far. Learn from these "one hit wonders."
  24. Popped into the Panthers reddit for a laugh and the overwhelming majority of posts were as expected except for one or two rare gems.
