Former RB Mike Davis on Rhule and CMC
AceBoogie replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Or this poo doesn’t matter lol. More poo for you -
He got overpayed for cleanup tackles on a crap D. That's like giving Wallace that kind of deal IMO.
-
You gotta think he is going to have options. For him to come here its going to be with the panther tax with god knows how many years. I would rather just play the young guy, roll the money and focus on 26 in making a real push to see what we have.
-
I hope I'm wrong about Moehrig but I never understood backing up the Brinks truck for him. He's the type of safety you can generally grab for pretty cheap and lo and behold here's a better version of Moehrig available on the trash heap on the eve of the season.
-
I don't see any harm in kicking the tires.
-
I was just talking about having 1 safety on thr field that is worth playing
-
Wouldn't even be that. We still need two starting safeties. It would be more saying that Nick Scott stinks (facts) and we don't want to be backed into relying on a 4th round rookie.
-
Sign him and just admit Moehrig stinks
-
100%

If I have to see Nick Scott’s slow ass on the field again getting burned deep for the 4th time that game I’m going to turn off the damn TV. Plain and simple Evero fuging sucks as a talent evaluator and all his hand picked players have been colossal busts, hello Dj Johnson, Nick Scott, Jordan Fuller, Josey Jewell.

Scourton - Collapsed Lung, Week-to-Week

We used a fourth on Trevor Etienne so its sounds like we are hedging our (bad) bet. If Brooks can play in '26, I guess we let Dowdle go and end up w/ a rb room of a 4th, 2nd, and 4th round picks, which seems like a lot of draft capital to me for the position. This year's draft had rbs go in the first (1), second (2), 3rd (1), fourth (6), fifth (3), sixth (4), seventh (6). I think the Dolphins will end up with a steal in Ollie Gordon in the sixth. -
We just freed up cap space by sending AT to the Vikings. This thing is a lot closer to being torn down to the studs than it is to a playoff foundation anyways.
-
I sort of don't want to invest or spend anything until Evero is gone and we have a new defensive direction. Evero feels much like Matt Rhule going into his 3rd season. I mean, we KNOW he is getting fired. We are we even doing this. Why are we wasting our time and delaying fixing things for ANOTHER year.
-
We have a lot of moves that still need to be made. A phone call is free.
-
Just save the cap space, play Ransom and aim for making a move in 2026
-
Pick em up!
-
Please sign him!!!
-
This is definitely worth a phone call to his agent for a conversation. I'm encouraged by the reports on Ransom but relying on a 4th round rookie to be an immediate impact is a tall ask.

Observer Projections / *Updated Panthers Waiver Additions

Bryce Young has done anything but be consistent so far in his NFL carrer .Bryce Young has to first & foremost prove that he is able to successfully hit his target downfield on a consistent basis ...just saying -
I doubt it. Should be a vested veteran I think.
-
Is he subject to waivers?
-
Peppers: We could've literally done better off the trash heap.

Proudiddy started following Jabrill Peppers Available

Patriots released him, per Schefter.

TBH, I didn’t see a lot of him before we drafted him but heard all of the exciting comparisons. But then seeing him in the brief time he played again before getting injured with us, I don’t have a ton of hope he’ll ever amount to anything. Maybe it was a result of the initial injury, but to me, he looked very slow and heavy footed. - Today

One position that makes the biggest difference
Khyber53 replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
You don't have to have a legendary or great QB to win the SB. It does take a good one on a solid team. There are some really legendary QBs without a Super Bowl ring, many with gold jackets. And then there are some solid but modest QBs with one or sometimes more rings. Still, that QB spot is the most important on a team, by a fairly sturdy margin. It's just not as steep of a margin as they want you to think. Dan Marino has no ring. Eli Manning has two. Trent Dilfer has one.
